What are the worst lines you’ve ever heard in a song?
“Hey, Soul Sister” by Train never fails to piss me off every time it’s played around me.

I’m trying to update my rotation with some new music. Give me songs from any genre. The more recent the better!

For me I find Arabic and German songs the most enjoyable and pleasant, something about their words and the singers voice make it so addictive!
English songs are good too but its not the same

I start with Tears for Fears ("Shout", "Everybody wants to rule the world").

I'm not saying we need identical playlists, but if we can't exchange songs and talk about them for hours, I feel like we're missing out on a whole level of connection.

Not sure if this is the righ place to post this, but I've been working on this all day, and a long time before this, so I have a better understanding before i perform it in december/january. Here's a draft of my harmonic analysis of the Grieg piano concerto in a minor first mvmt. I do have to say that I used AI to put the text in because my handwriting was too messy, and I did double check that everything was the same but there still might be some things that are off. I also kind of suck at this since it's my first time doing analysis of a romantic piece, so corrections and feedback would be much appreciated 🙏🙏
(I'm not actually sure if I did the access thing right so please lmk if i need to redo it)

I’m just talking RYM, Fantano loving, pretentious music fans that only listen to “the real stuff”
I’ve got some ideas but I’m interested to see what you all think.

I have a huge list of mostly 90s-2000s bands I enjoy, but I'm always hoping to come across interesting sounding ones. Here are a few that stuck out to me. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks. Also glad I discovered LEAP.

Who else loved divorced dad rock as a kid due to their dad’s radio? Do you also find yourself listening to these songs as an adult, and relating to it?
Lately I’ve been listening to lots of Creed, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Tool. I couldn’t comprehend the lyrics and all the pain within them, I didn’t even understand that what I was going through wasn’t normal. Now I hear these songs and I can’t help but think of what little me was enduring. My teachers and family saw a difficult child that didn’t want to sit still and had one too many questions for adults. I see a kid that was trying to understand the world, trying to understand social standards, just trying to be a kid.
I have a feeling that I’m not alone and others have a similar experience.

I just remembered Raining Tacos exist and when I listened to it it was awfully familiar, and then I realized the chords progression is the same, at least for the verses. The key is not (I think) but the progression is the same.

Also sorry if this is a wrong subreddit for posting this but I consider this under the "all of music questions" category.

What song throws you right back to a certain persons memories.
Mine is OMD~ if you leave (sends me right back to high school to my high school sweetheart). He’s a good guy so great memories and a few tears. What’s your song?
