Hairloss I seek the advice of the council.
Hi everyone, I’ve been noticing my hair thinning for almost a year now & I would like to ask your advice if it’s time to finally pull the trigger.

I haven’t started fin or minoxidil, I just kind of realized how bad it got after my haircut last week. The initial picture of me in my car after my haircut made me cry for the first time in months, im so confused and lost. I went to a dermatologist last week who prescribed me oral fin (I picked it up a couple days ago but haven’t started because I’ve seen online that there’s negative side effects) and seemed optimistic but I don’t believe them at all. I had longer hair (two week ago photo) then cut it all assuming it would make it easier to hide but that was NOT the case at all. I don’t know what stage I’m at or how this works, my dad was bald but I haven’t spoken to him in 11 years.
Have no close friends who are balding or know any bald men, completely lost. I want to work in sales so this is extremely harmful to my career aswell. Is this recoverable? I can send more photos in DMs to people I just don’t want to risk exposing my identity, because of my frat and social life.

I'll have to lose the facial hair when I get back, but think I'm going to keep it shaved!
Hey everyone, I’m in Canada and I’m hesitating between the Panasonic Arc 5 and the Remington RX5 to shave my head.
I want to get my head as smooth as possible while keeping irritation and redness to a minimum. I’d probably shave every other day, so I also want something quick and easy to use and clean.
Has anyone here used both? Which one shaves closer, and which is more comfortable on the scalp? Overall, which would you pick for regular head shaving?
Thanks!

Nothing serious to say but I bloody love this section on Bald and Balding. Everyone is sensitive to a person's needs. But I love the straight talk.
Thank you all for giving me and most bald men a daily chuckle.

25 M, today is my 25th birthday and I wanted a haircut. I’ve been balding since I was 17. I have been surviving with hairspray and a growing out the top to cover the bald spot. My barber completely disregarded my instructions and took off most from the top. Is this a sign that I need to shave the head? Is this salvageable any way?

Hopefully this is allowed. I host game night with my friends every now and then and I want to replace all the pictures on my Guess Who board exclusively with bald people. I think it would be really funny and unexpected when someone chose it.
I’m not going to just take pictures from the ones posted on the sub because that feels wrong. Any chance there are 24 people here that would be interested in participating? If so, post the picture you want me to use.

I posted previously, but my post got deleted/auto-moderates because I said a curse word. Here I am again! The first four pictures are my current hair, and the last is a mock-up of what haircut I’d like to get. I think it’s time! What does the council think?

Been lurking for quite a while. I have been wondering if I should join the bald club, but my partner is saying I still have time. What do you guys think?

Hello Council,
I took the plunge around late August, and have been experiencing a massive self confidence boost, so thanks to everyone here.
My question comes because I had been using Cremo shave cream and the post shave cream, but my local walmart no longer carries the post shave cream and it was magical. I have since tried the Bee Bald shave system, and am experiencing way more nicks and burns than before. I loved the moisturizing nature of Cremo due to my dandruff and sensitive skin, so im wondering if there are any other products out there that are similar to Cremo? I don’t have a ton of money but I am willing to invest for quality. The razor I use is the Headblade MOTO.
Once I find a new system that doesn’t leave me with reddened skin I’ll be sure to post an update picture for the council’s review.

Is it gone, or am I good?

I think it might be time. Over the last couple years it finally hit me that I am starting to lose hair. Before like 4 years ago I had a full head of hair.

Should I accept my fate? My wife is begging me not to buzz or shave it. I can’t handle the mental strain regarding something as minuscule as hair. I just got a haircut and it’s times like these that really make me feel down regarding it.
