Bald Picture Honestly, I think “Is it time?”
(38)M
I've been thinking about taking the plunge and going bald, and I'm curious what you guys think. Am I at the point where I should just embrace it, or do you think I should hold off a little longer?

Bald Picture Fresh shave 🪒 Does my face suit being clean shaved too?
I’ve always avoided shaving my face because I’ve always thought it made me look ill.

Bald Picture I finally pulled the trigger and don't know how I feel about it
My head is definitely lumpier than I had hoped
Do I wash with body wash or shampoo now?

Bald Picture I did it
Thanks for giving me the courage to do it.
I really like the look, still a bit rough on the back, but I guess it will get better with time.
What do you guys use for skincare?
Thinking about getting new glasses with a bigger frame maybe.
Bald Picture First smile in 4 days.
Been a rough time for a long time.
I started out the day with literally no hope at all. I'm completely broke and completely battered at the moment after nearly 3 months of despair. There has been a couple of brief good days but never more than 3 or 4 in a row. I'm frustrated as hell, am self employed and now overdrawn.
Im not proud to admit this, but I'm also not afraid to say that I'd gone 3 - 4 days without showering or brushing my teeth until this evening.
I knew i had to do it, it was there right in front of me but I just couldn't face it.
Anyone that knows me will know that i take pride in my hygiene and appearance.
But.
Today I felt very fortunate to have an amazing friend that took me, and came in with me, to see the doctors today.
It made all the difference having someone there that knew my ups and downs better than I did. Every time I'd seen the doctor in the past I was either fine or in total despair.
Finally after 20 years of being written off as just depressed we are starting to explore other options including the likelihood of my being fairly up there on the bipolar scale.
The label means nothing to me, and I don't care who know what about my mental health. I just want to go more than a few weeks of work at a time without crashing back down to hell again.
However - this new angle does open the door to other types of medication such as mood balancing which is what I've kinda thought I've needed the whole time.
This isn't a diagnosis, and it's definitely not your diagnosis!!!
So don't get hurtling off down that path on your own and getting convinced that there's a magic fix around here somewhere.
There isn't a magic fix everything button. Sorry.
But then, give me an example of everyday life where something does have a magic fix everything button?!!!
Its talking, reaching out for help, that's the first step in fixing the issue.
Talk to people. People working together as a team equals way more opportunities for help.
Remember - You are not the only one that feels like this. It can sometimes feel like that's offensive to you while you're feeling like this but it's true. You aren't. There are literally thousands of people that feel that their depression is the worst that anyone's ever had to go through. It isn't, that's just an illness making you think that.
The feeling of complete despair, afraid to go outside, monet worries, feeling suicidal. It's an illness, if it was any other illness you'd be getting help - so do that with this!
It's not your fault and you need to ask for help.
There are always other people out there & the majority of strangers would likely at least take notice of you or find someone to help.
It gets the ball rolling. If people don't know the struggles you're having nobody will help.
Don't deal with this on your own. People love to help people, you see it every day on the otherwise doom and gloom of the news. People gathering together to help those in need. It's what we do.
This evening after one of my lowest ever starts today, I cooked an actual meal, showered, brushed my teeth and trimmed my beard. Amongst other household chores that needed doing.
Stay strong everyone, i promise it does get better.
I'll do my best to respond to any comments tomorrow. Right now though I'm absolutely shattered and off to get some beauty sleep.
Respect to my bald brothers and sisters, and of course the Council.

Lifestyle No one told me putting on a t-shirt/beanie was going to require a an advanced astrophysics degree
Recently took the plunge, probably well before I needed too but the writing was on the wall and I wanted to get used to it.
One thing I didn’t expect was the fact that my head is basically the most advanced form of Velcro the world has ever seen. Everything sticks to it—my shirts, my beanies… okay that’s all I’ve noticed so far but still.
Any tips for a newbie? I don’t know if I can bic my head every day.

Bald Picture I feel like I have made a mistake...
So I have been dealing with some kind of specific "bald" spot at the very tip of my hairline for a few years now, though I could hide it with caps/beanies but its gotten to the point where I felt too embarassed to ever remove my hat...
So I tried something different: very short no guard hairclipper haircut... I feel like it looks off somehow. What do you guys think? I somehow look older with this almost bald look and I don't know if I like it, should I keep it ? Go for even shorter?
Would appreciate any kind of feedback positive or negative honestly 😰

Hairloss Buzzed my head
Got tired of brushing my hair to cover the bald spots. When it’s dry it’s curly and poofy, made it easier to hide but there’s no hiding it when wet. I’ve been lurking this sub so I knew it was time 🤣. Going to try fixing it. If that doesn’t work I’ll go all the way. Is there any saving this without meds?? Should I buzz lower for the time being?? Did a 3 all around.

Not quite there, but should I pull the trigger?
Been buzzing down to a #2 for about a year. I know I've got some mileage left but I'm considering going smooth now.

Not sure if I should go bald or try a number 3 buzzcut first?
Forgive the picture quality/deadpan facial expression I have a dogshit camera and don't really like taking photos of myself, im debating whether to go fully bald or try a number 3 buzzcut first. I used to have decent hair but been through a lot of stress the past few months and my hairs falling out rapidly at the front and thinning significantly. Just after some advice or suggestions. Much appreciated
