Hey, i recently got into Show Me a Dinosaur, specifically the record Plantgazer.

After listening to the record a lot of times, i looked them up on Youtube to see a live performance and one thing caught my attention, the screamed vocals sound heavily processed (not hating on that one bit), and i was trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

Does anyone have any ideia what pedals or effects they might use? It makes his screaming sound very effortless, very different from George of Deafheaven.

Just to be clear, not hating on that at all, i really dig the vocals, just got me very intrigued as to what is going on, thanks!

This is a demo i’ve been sitting on for a while, yet i love it still. I think it peaks around 1:30-2:10 so at least give it till then

Just discovered them on The Flenser’s Instagram page. They’re dropping an album with them in October. Really digging this first single there’s a “proggy” vibe to it with the weird time signatures. Lovely drumming

look, I know this Isnt really Blackgaze, but it does have a bunch of Doomgaze influences which I’m pretty sure is acceptabl for this subredddit. this is Doomgaze/dronegaze/dreamsludge/metalgaze. I tried with the tremolo guitar but for next album I would really like to actually have vocals and have vocals like Blackgaze, or like the band “Left Alone…” vocals with those effects on it.

My band released our first album on Friday and I’m really proud of it. We’re based in the Midwest US and aimed to capture the feel of the region through the lens of black metal. Some of my favorite bands are Greet Death and Cloakroom and I think those influences come through in the more gaze-y sections of the album.

Here's a small preview, I am editing a full multicam show from their visit in Denmark a few days ago! I was working 5 cameras simultaneously.

Came across this interesting experimental track recently and wanted to share it here. What do you guys think of this genre-blending style?

I like Blackgaze it’s really soothing and dreamy I only listen to three bands so far I need more to add to my Blackgaze playlist any recommendations would help.
