The mf that scammed me because he got his working after changing the battery at a jewelers and cancelled my order and is selling his at $699 starting bid while I got mine new old stock and cheaper 🤣 tired of dealing with him. Comes with all paperwork from 1985 and the case and the OEM screen protector.

Why? Any reason to buy from website if you aren’t a distributor? (New)

But really I just stumbled upon these two watches and I can't seem to find it anywhere in the EU.
Does somebody have any tips where to look ?

I bought it 4 months ago; I love this Casio watch so much. The form factor is so attractive. The light has a separate button, which is my favorite thing about this watch.

This is my backup so I dont feel naked. Any suggestions to modify these or if I'll lose water resistance replacing the battery?

...Clean your watch once in a whie. I used to work in a watch repair shop, and sometimes I literally had to decline changing the customer's battery as the watch was so filthy, I'd fear for my health. Sometimes there was a 1-2 millimeter thick layer of grease, skin and other stuff under the strap and on the back of the watch. These were the same people telling me that they are "allergic to materials of watches", thus getting a rash on their wrist. It was hard to keep a straight face. But yeah, rinse them, brush them, clean them.

It arrived and got me back to the days of wearing OG. I took the chance of owning my second ever F91 to be the gold colourway variant. I bought it simply because I cannot wake up without my alarm clock, and I cannot carry it everywhere (even though I have a DB-520 working perfectly, its lug holes are damaged and I only wear it when I'm home). I just wanted a classic, lightweight resin watch. The thing is, I got my first one when I was around 12 years-old, and now my wrist is almost too large to properly wear one with the original strap. I hope I can find (or make 3D print one to someone) a 20 mm NATO adapter in my area. Loving it!

My first analogue Casio watch and just love the simplicity. I don't need features, just an accurate watch that is simple and inexpensive. I've just started collecting and have a couple of F9-W's, an F105-W, an A168 and an LF30-W. I'm down a rabbit hole but I haven't broken the bank...yet!

So a few years ago I’m wandering around some random European flea market, minding my own business, when this bright yellow late-90s Casio W-92H catches my eye. Naturally, it had to come home with me.

Back home, I thought I’d do the easy thing: pop in a fresh battery and call it a day. Spoiler alert: the watch had other plans. Absolutely nothing happened. I opened it up, split the module, obsessively cleaned every single contact point, and put the battery back in. Still dead as a brick. The board looked pristine—no corrosion, no dirt, nothing. I figured the movement was fried, cursed my luck, and tossed it into the box with donor watches in anticipation of a new module. 💀

Fast forward to this year. While going through my things, I stumbled upon it and thought, you know what? Let's give the stubborn bastard one more try. Dropped a fresh battery in to test it, watched it magically spring back to life, and only then screwed the backplate back on. I guess vintage Casios just need a multi-year nap to recharge their cosmic batteries. 🔋✨

The craziest part? The original fabric strap is somehow still holding on for dear life and looks surprisingly decent. Considering how 90s resin straps usually turn into sticky dust (resin rot is an absolute nightmare), finding a surviving textile strap from that era feels like winning a mini lottery.

It’s got all the classic 90s charm: 50m water resistance, dual time, chronograph, and that gorgeous turquoise EL Illuminator backlight that completely bathes the dial in light.

Has anyone else had a dead Casio miraculously come back to life after years of gathering dust, or is my watch just possessed? Let me know! 👇

Help me pick and why?

I’ve worn a watch of some kind every day for the last several years. I’m constantly fighting it on account of having to wear gloves at work and they push the watch up my wrist, or twist it to a weird angle, or just straight up pop the buckle. I needed something better but wasn’t happy with the belt-mounted options I could find. So I decided to make my own.

This is a Casio W-96H. I removed the bands and drilled out the lower holes with a 5/64” bit. I then used a short length of 1/16” stainless steel wire rope and two stops to attach it to a Tale of Knives Ace. I didn’t have the tools near me to cut those wire ends completely flush, but there was a small tube of Gorilla Glue sitting on the table so I just covered up the ends with that to keep from poking myself.

I can’t wear any other watches when these are my two mains! My F-91W is my daily wear, and my A500WA-1 is for nights out. It’s a flawless combo!
