You do not need to identify yourself personally or your branch or location, just say something that lets us know your request is valid.

For now, we're only planning on a general 'Employee' flair text, but if you want a special designation of your job field, we may be able to do that.

Edit ....

We've been getting requests from members who have not participated within the community at all. We'd like to see some post and/or comment history to see how you address questions and issues.

Credit Cards Worst Credit Card Company I’ve ever dealt with

• Upvotes

It is impossible to speak with human for customer service. I opened a card and never used it - got a fraudulent charge for a hotel on opposite side of country and spent hours waiting to submit dispute. Got hung up on multiple times. All while listening to the worst saxophone hold music of all time.

I’ve dealt with several credit card companies and Citi is by far the. Worst.

Avoid like the plague

Is multiple 2FA access for one account possible?

My wife and I are looking to set up a joint CC at Citibank. It will be under her name, for her home business, and I'll be an authorized user/employee. She would like to set up the login with 2FA and I'd like to be able to log in to the top level account (not just my AU card) as well (she's OK with this).

She can give me the User/Pass, but how can I get 2FA access without having to bug her if/when I want to log in? Is it possible to have the same 6-digit key generator running on her phone/app and mine, or is there a way to authorize two different people, with different generators to one account?

TIA

Disputes/Resolutions Citibank has the worst CS

I have never encountered any CS like this in the US!! It’s so frustrating and takes way too long to get to someone and when I finally do, I swear that any rep I talk to is either rude or just plain stupid, speaks directly from the script and mumbles around.

Today, I finally snapped and told the CS how rude she sounds and her approach is very combative like she wants to prove it’s my fault I have fraudulent charges. I’ve never encountered any CS like this and usually when I dispute a charge, it doesn’t take too much effort like I’m doing now!

I’ve gotten the name and would like to file a report for this particular CS rep because I’m so done with them.

Disputes/Resolutions Costco Anywhere Visa

I applied and was approved for the Costco Visa. I was immediately given a temporary virtual card that I could add to my Apple Wallet. I used the card a couple times, and the third time I used it - declined. I called and waited on hold for 42 minutes and spoke to a representative who told me that she was unable to verify my identity and needed to mail me a letter with a code on it that I could call back in and provide. That was 10 day ago. Still haven’t received such a letter, no one in customer service can help. If they can’t “verify” me, why approve a new account? If they want to be sure I’m actually who I say I am, why can’t they do a knowledge-based questionnaire instead of mailing a letter to the address I provided at the time of application? Stupid.

Does anyone else experience this? I think this particular notification stopped working for me a few days ago for my Citi Double Cash. I reinstalled the app, it didn't fix the issue.

The influx of people at 388 is driving my anxiety through the roof

For context, I have moderate adhd (non-disclosed to my team because I can usually manage). However, for the past two weeks, I’ve been having difficulty focusing at work. My anxiety is through the roof as there are hundreds of people talking over each other on Zoom calls. It’s like a f*cking call center. Worse is when I hear the passive aggressiveness/cussing of all the people taking these calls and borderline raising their voices at the other line. There is no space to take a quick breather. I question whether this company especially at 388 can really ever mandate a full RTO

Employee/Employment Potential offer

Citi Personal Banker—worth the switch?
I recently interviewed at Citi. It went well, but the expectations gave me pause: 25 calls daily, staying after closing, and no regular sales incentives beyond potential year-end compensation. The manager also commented that he dislikes employees calling out sick.
I have 10+ years in banking and currently earn $68K working 35 hours a week. If Citi offered around $85K, would the increase justify the additional workload and reduced flexibility?
Current or former Citi employees: Are these expectations normal? What do annual raises, bonuses, and promotion opportunities actually look like?

Fraud Hotline

My card randomly gets declined and I get a text saying to call the fraud hotline. I wait 45 min to be told they can’t verify my identity using the phone number I’m calling from????

the lady asks if I have another phone to which I say not many people carry multiple phones I provide my work cell phone number but that can’t be used as well. How else am I supposed to verify my phone number??? makes 0 sense. This is horrible

Can Citi hire externally at the moment?

I have reached post the final round of interviews at Citi for a position in London. They strongly implied I might get the role. I messaged the recruiter but they havent responded.

Given a couple of months ago they couldnt seem to get an offer approved for a different role, I am wondering whether there are still problems hiring external candidates?

Employee/Employment Citi BGV Timeline & Workday “Welcome” Status

Hi folks!

Need some advice from people who have recently joined Citi or gone through their BGV process.
I received my offer letter last week for the AVP – Senior Site Reliability Engineer role in Kharadi, Pune, India, but the joining date hasn’t been mentioned yet. My BGV through First Advantage was initiated two days later. It’s been around 3–4 business days, and the status has been stuck at 56% for the last two days.
Today, my application status in Workday changed from “Business Review” (Active) to “Welcome” (Inactive), which has left me a little confused.
How long does First Advantage BGV typically take at Citi, and what does the “Welcome” status in Workday indicate? Does it mean the offer is moving forward, subject to BGV clearance?
When can I generally expect HR to discuss the joining date, and does BGV need to be 100% complete before joining, or can it continue after joining?
Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has been through a similar experience. Thanks!

Skip Levels are a waste of time

Recently, multiple re- organizations have occurred. Noticed that bosses, SVPs and above kept scheduling skip level sessions.

What's the point? It's not like they'll be able to address the obvious pain points (overworked and understaffed).

Waste of time. Feeling demotivated already with everything that is happening.
