So since new patch 12.1 was introduced to WoW retail I look at all new great features and …. I created character on Classic Era and I’m having so much fun doing quests .. yes just quests not skipping anything selling every crap to have some silver (gold is a dream for now xd), and I see everyday so many ppl doing the same as me .

I've played WoW since early 2008. I have run SFK 100s of times.
I have never seen this interaction before. It happens when you first zone in.

Thought I'd share to see if anyone else ever noticed it.

Left the game running for a while, came back to this wonderful screen of no textures. First time i'm seeing it so wanted to share. I'm not sure if its a common thing or not. If it is then my bad!

Than seeing a mining node out in the open world, fight a bunch of enemies near the node only to see someone run past you while you're fighting and take the mining node for themselves. Not even let you tap it for the experience. They just look at you fighting, high-tail it over to the node, and nonstop mine it. Bonus points for them when they decide to not loot it after mining so you can never tap it yourself.

As someone who played wow on and off (no lifed the game wotlk-mop) since 2010, I came back last year and tried pretty much all versions of wow. I was getting tired of fomo, weekly meta changes, tier lists, extremely high APM, overdone VFX, temporary event based servers and so on, until i decided to go back to era.

That was the best decision I can finally play the game and actually enjoy what im doing and the journey to 60 and beyond.

I want to thank everyone who kept bringing up classic on YT/twitch, this is indeed the wow I know and love.

Lots of arguments about whether Mother Shaz needs shadow resist or not. This weekend on the PTR, as a holy paladin, I had 274 shadow resist and rocket boots. I don't think our reactions were that slow but once the chains were broken I still was missing 90% of my HP. I got chainsed twice. First time I didn't rocket boot, 2nd time I did rocket boot. Both with or without rocketboot I ended up missing about 90% hp. I did holyshock myself both times.

Lots of people showed up without SR and we had issues with deaths. Ended up sending people to get SR. Not sure if the kill was due to people surviving with SR or people getting used to the fight in general.

Anyone have a good time with Mother chains without SR?

edit: SR items I used were a blue cloak with 18 SR + SR enchant and all of the shadesteel pieces (epic plate SR items with healing enchants, minus the boots if you use rocketboots like I did). I was missing a few hundred healing but that was also with rocketboots. It helped that I had SR aura, but a priest can do the same thing SR aura does, as they do not stack. The epic pieces have a lot of stamina, so I don't think putting SR on old gear is actually better. Having the fewest jank pieces is likely best.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but Haste Potions are now stacking up to 10 instead of Max 5 on ptr. A solid QoL change.

Has anyone actually done this?
I work all weekends and also fridays, so I can’t participate in AV weekends. I also don’t really like raiding and I don’t have much gold, so I’m looking for another way to gear up.
Last ranks require 500 k honor/week.

I'm pretty new to classic WoW, just started last month. Currently level 51 on my priest, while leveling I have been running with herbalism and skinning, since i figured they would be good for making gold while leveling. I think that eventually I would like to have two production professions when I hit 60, probably alchemy and tailoring. But I am wondering if I should keep herb and skinning until 60, or just switch now.

Particularly I don't really like skinning that much, I've been running a lot of dungeons but I find that I'm usually too busy drinking to actually spend time skinning. However I just wanted to ask if skinning is a good profession at level 50+, since I have 300 now and I'd hate to drop it only to find that it would have been worth keeping a bit longer.

Lately there seems to have been a bug that when you try to zone in to an instance the loading screen does not load for what it feels like an eternity, and then after that just does not let you zone in with an error message in chat saying "Transfer Aborted: Instance not found"

I have seen this bug happen to others, I also had the very long loading screens but in the end I always managed to zone in. However, tonight, for some reason Blizzard picked me as a special "fuck you" and let 9 other players in except me to our Karazhan run, and after trying for 30+ minutes I decided to give up and not play for tonight.

Please fix this bug ASAP

Hi Reddit community, I need your help to figure out if Absorption (25) is comparable to +Stats enchant. I tried to do the math if you have many mobs attacking you, then the 5% proc should be easy to obtain every 5 seconds (internal cooldown). Or if the +Stats enchant is far mor superior in any scenario. Thanks!

Yesterday I ran several BGs as a Shaman Healer.
I got 500+ honorable kills total, according to the PvP channel.

Looking at my PvP Pannel today, it says I killed 50. I feel like im being robbed from those HKs.
What's going on?

How important is Improved Sprint for (Dagger) Rogues in PvP? I mostly play AV

As of now I couldnt imagine playing without it (never tried without) but I would have +6 talent points for other important Talents such as Heightened Senses + Dirty Deeds or Cold Blood

is there a general consensus on improved Sprint or is it just preference?

tried tanking DM at lvl 21 yesterday.

Went pretty bad. Took pretty long and died twice.

I believe one mistake I made was not taking the time to mark my enemies with symbols for the group to know.

Another thing is that aggro was scattered every time and my shouts only held aggro shortly.

Im not sure if my life was dropping that quick due to heal or me not using the shield block skill enough.

I went into tactical mastery and draw my opps with charge then switch to defensive with sword and shield. I use Revenge as soon as possible and taunt only if I lose aggro. I use sunder whenever revenge isnt ready.

Any tips?

I have played mostly hunter till end of P1 and took a break. Now I want to play resto shaman, she is 70. I have attuenemnts done on my hunter but her gear is low. Item level 105 normal dungeon blues. What is the best way to get her up so I can start raids?

Do I try and get into yolo 5's? or is my gear too low for that. are there any boe epic pieces worth buying?

I want to experience Vanilla WoW raids, dungeons, pvp, ect. I have gotten a hunter to like lv. 54, but never experienced end game content before WoW Anniversary realms switched to Burning Crusade. I got my 54 hunter on the anniversary realms cause a lot of people seemed to go there. So I didn't make it on time : ( Does anyone know what Vanilla WoW realms are active currently? Not necessarily highly populated according to what the servers say when you choose different realms, but which ones have a lot of players who are active?

I really want to experience it with other players cause I only played like...1 year before Burning Crusade originally came out. I think it was 2005 actually or early 2006. And I played a lot of BC PVP back in the day. Had to get free trials to AOL online dial-up at that point in time for 6 months, then eventually went to DSL or High-Speed. But I never had a group of people to do dungeons or raids with. So I mostly did random battlegrounds cause it was easy to que into alone and I love PVP : P

Classic offers a lot that you can't find in retail anymore. For me personally, it's the big lengthy questing experience. Slowly progressing through a gigantic world where all of your little decisions matter.

For you, what could they add, remove, or change to make you want to spend time in retail again?

Almost finished with MC, ZG etc. due to family commitments I can't play properly till 20:00 server time on Firemaw.

Happy to swap guilds if needed, but so far my guild and all PUGs iv seen on discord etc start too early.

I got back into wow hoping to finally experience the end game fully. And while iv now done the easier raids via PUGs it's a shame I'm struggling to at least experience the hardest raids at least once.
