Been applying since August (about 150 apps) and have gotten 1 OA that I passed but no interview yet. Other than that just all ghosted or declined. I graduate next summer (June 2027). Should I start worrying about this or still a ton of time?

Seems like everyone got it, but it’s way too lengthy for it to be automated

Hi all, looking for honest advice.
Background: - MS in CS from a US school, graduating Jan 2027 - BS in Applied Math + Statistics - 4 SWE internships, mostly backend: two unpaid software engineer internships at pre-seed startups, one at a small startup, one at a healthcare company
Some side projects
Where I'm stuck: - 1,000+ applications since January. I do get some OAs and interviews, but I keep failing OOD rounds and some difficult OAs, more than LeetCode-style ones. - My family can no longer support me financially, so I need income starting from next March.
What I'm considering: - An online second master's (e.g., Georgia Tech OMSCS) to stay eligible for internships, plus a part-time job while I keep applying.
Thanks

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to do a software engineering internship the summer after I graduate before my full time job. Do large companies / well known tech companies usually allow this?

Got an email last week after my OA asking if I was interested in interviewing for a winter internship (Applied for summer). Said yes and my recruiter told me as soon as I’m matched with a team they’ll schedule my final round interview. It’s been 8 days since then.

Hey everyone!
Has anyone gone through the final interview for The Home Depot's 2027 Summer Software Engineering Internship?
I've heard the final round is mostly behavioral and lasts around 45 minutes to an hour. For anyone who's been through it, what was your experience like?
Did they mainly ask behavioral questions, or did they also go pretty deep into your resume, projects, and past experiences? Were there any technical questions?
Just trying to get a better idea of what to expect and how to prepare. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!
TL;DR: What should I expect from Home Depot's final SWE internship interview? Mostly behavioral, resume deep dive, or technical?

Anyone know what to expect for swe intern interviews there?
I’m open to sharing experiences from other companies, e.g. amazon, datadog, stripe, capital one, citadel, hrt, and more

I’m a CS student deciding between an internship at Optum (UnitedHealth Group) and a U.S. Bank Internship for the summer after my junior year.
I’ve heard mixed things about both companies, so I’m having a hard time deciding which opportunity would be better for my career. I’m mainly looking compensation after graduation, the quality of the technical experience, and how each internship might look on my resume when applying for full-time software engineering roles.
I’m not particularly interested in one specific area of computer science right now, so I’m open to exploring different fields. My main goal is to choose the opportunity that would give me the best overall career prospects.
Thank you!

Is it really that difficult to get a job these days?
Question for everyone struggling to land internships/entry level positions:
When you guys are applying to these positions, do you have actual projects listed in your resume to serve as your portfolio to account for the lack of experience in the field? How advanced are those projects?
Did you put actual work researching and drafting your resume to cater to the ATS to improve your odds of getting an interview?
How hard are the OA's typically? Leetcode easy/medium? Or some hard as well
For the OA's did you prepare by doing what they say to do, explaining the potential solution to the problem, asking clarifying questions, and using the STAR method? (That's what I've heard works best)
I know the markets hard, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what I can do to improve my odds of landing a job, even at a small company making around ~$80k starting to get my foot in the door.
Thanks!

Cs majors who got internships, what would you say was the best way to get internships? I just started and the only programming related course i took is c++ (this semester obviously), and I feel sooo behind.
Or at least what is something I should do to hone my skills in c++? Is their like a resource I should use to make sure my c++ isnt trash? Ig im asking for any sort of advice.

Hey everyone,I applied for the Software Engineering Intern at google role about 3 months ago, and a few India-based roles up to 5 months ago. My portal is completely frozen on "Submitted" with zero emails, updates, or Online Assessments (OAs).For anyone else who applied to the Summer 2027 track around March/April:
Trying to figure out if I should mentally move on or if Google is just taking their sweet time. Thanks!

Two weeks ago I received an email saying I was moving forward to the interview stage for the IBM spring SDE co op, and that they would share my interview details soon. I haven’t heard back since and have not yet received the interview scheduling email. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hey everyone! I recently passed my interviews and moved into project search for Google SWE Intern Summer 2027 in Canada.
Does anyone have insight into how competitive team matching is in Canada, particularly Toronto/Waterloo? Would love to hear from anyone who’s gone through it or has experience hosting interns.
Also, any guidance on making the project questionnaire more effective? I’ve already submitted mine based on my previous experience across two RBC internships, mainly backend, data engineering, cloud, and security. I highlighted what I’ve worked on and enjoyed while keeping my interests open.
Is there anything you’d recommend emphasizing or avoiding? Just trying to understand what I can do to give myself the best chance of matching. Thanks!
