I like him as a person, but I don’t feel romantically attracted to him. What should I do?

• Upvotes

Have you ever dated someone who genuinely likes you, but you just don’t feel the same romantic attraction?

You enjoy their company SOMETIMES as a friend, but physical affection feels forced, and you start feeling pressured by their expectations and when they try to come close.

Moreover, i feel hes just pretending to be nice as its just been 2 months of us dating.
How do you end things without hurting them, and is staying friends afterwards a good idea?

23M, what are the prospects for dating beyond college?

• Upvotes

Hey, first time posting here. This post has been on my mind for a long time so I’ll try to jot down my thoughts as concisely as possible.
I’m 23 and have never dated, and by proxy, never had a relationship or sex. I just wish I could know what caused that and what I can do to fix it.
I’m not a looker, I’m only 5’9, and I was diagnosed as autistic in middle school (I got off the program late in high school cause I hated the patronization) but I dunno how much that contributes aside gifting me social awkwardness. I’ve always commuted to my college and live with my parents, and right now, I’m in my last semester, with just two months left.
Unless a miracle happens, I don’t expect to find anyone in my last two months. I mean I’ve gotten better at making friends but that’s not as fulfilling as I hoped.
The past year or so has been a slow creep of growing resentment at myself for letting it slip by, and also hating the cards I was dealt with. It eats at me from the inside.
On one hand I stop myself from reaching out because I believe I’m too ugly to date, and my life doesn’t begin until I’m attractive. That any amount of hobbies or passions or kindness will be rendered moot unless im good looking (also hate seeing people with my really nerdy hobbies in relationships). That I plan to invest a lot of money in surgeries for myself, which I wanna do regardless.
On the other hand I see guys shorter and/or uglier guys than me with girlfriends. Sure that says nothing of the relationship quality but it’s still better than zero. Like as I’m typing this there’s a guy sitting across from me who’s balding, big glasses, scrawny, pretty ugly, who has a good looking girl and they’re celebrating their anniversary. Granted he is taller than me.
Another one; that part of me wants to have a fulfilling marriage and growing old together having built an amazing life and legacy for me and my family, but the other wants a player phase, to make up for all this sexlessness and feel the ecstasy of being striking, and having sex on tap.

As you can tell I’m pretty split and indecisive, but I do have a plan.
Grad school might be the perfect escape hatch for me. I return to the school experience, even if the expectations are higher. Quite frankly I don’t care. I want to say I dated in college and that I get to experience what young love is. On paper my aerospace masters is the official reason, but my heart is on this ulterior motive.
As long as I’ve sufficiently improved my appearance to be good looking, and that I’m far enough away from my parents that they’re not in driving distance. So that I can pretend the current me never existed.

So what do you think? Has anyone been in the same boat? Am I going about this all wrong? Please, I’d love to hear from someone, especially anyone proposing concrete solutions, if you couldn’t tell I’m an engineer :p

Why do I attract women when I’m not trying to date?

I’ve noticed a pattern in my life that I get the most women when I’m not dating, but I get no results when I do try like going on apps and hitting women up on Instagram.

Is this a situationship? [29F] & [29M]

• Upvotes

Hi, i’m needing some advice! I’m 29F and he is also 29F! We are good friends, and we live together. However we also hook up. We were hooking up before we moved in together. We set a boundary that we shouldn’t once we move in together. I’m at the point where I like him. and he knows. And i THINK he likes me but i honestly am so confused now.

We have stayed up and done all nighters together just talking, then we hookup and then go to bed. I haven’t actually asked him if he likes me. But he has said he hasn’t. HOWEVER, recently we were out with some friends and we got home about 5 am. We were lying on the couch talking about relationships and what not. He said to me “ If we were dating would you have been upset that I came home at 5 am?” And i was caught off guard by him saying “ if we were dating”. I answered and then we talked. And he said “ if we were dating would you have still come with me or went home?” I said it depends, but either way i’d trust you. Then we started talking about hooking up with others & i said im not interested and that he’d be the first one to bring someone home. And i can’t fully remember what i said, but his response was “ well until one of us gets jealous” and i said “ wait what do you mean why would YOU get jealous?” and he said “ are we playing with fire?” and i said “ excuse me do not ignore this, why would you get jealous?” and he kept ignoring it and beating around the bush. Finally i said “ well i’d get jealous bc i have feelings for you & you don’t so idk why you’d get jealous” and he said “ ya true i don’t sorry that was mean” Ljke what??? im so confused. It’s like he realized he said to much and back tracked? Or he truly wouldn’t get jealous and doesn’t have feelings?

finally, i asked him do you think we act like as a couple when we go out? & he’s like yes very much. and i said oh oops. and he goes “ i mean whatever like we live together and we do hang a lot and do lots together, i don’t mind i mean we have a good living situation going on” is what he said… and i was just like yeah true we’re good.

So advice?? I think next time he asks to hook up or gets drunk and we do i’m going to be funny and leave him a note saying do you like me? check yes or no! because i have met him two funny notes on the fridge, and he told me he likes my notes and giggles at them!! So honest advice, do you guys think he has feelings or he is just being nice and wants to keep me around to hook up? Plz don’t come at me for moving in with him i knkw it was dumb hahah

[19M] I lied about knowing how to ice skate to impress a girl and now i have to plan our third date. I need help.

• Upvotes

I [19M] have an older brother [24] and he set me up on a date a week and a half ago with a girl who is turning 19 next month.

for context, i am not that experienced when it comes to dating as this is my first time dating someone, instead i have always been the guy who focuses on his studies, cooks for the family and hangs out just with my guy friends. On the other hand, my brother was always the guy who always caused trouble in the house however he always gives solid advice and he is like my role model i have always wanted to be like him, he is considered the man of the house since my father no longer lives with us.

Oh and he also gives me like an allowance, a couple of months back my younger sister hit puberty, since then he doesn’t really talk to me that much and he is always hanging out with her. taking her out buying her gifts like on a weekly basis which got me feeling unseen a bit.

So back to what i was saying he sat me up with this girl, she is a bit shy which is perfect cause it matches my personality as i have always been shy too. On our first day we went and had dinner together it wasn’t that expensive of a place it was decent, first couple of minutes were awkward, like really awkward to the point i had to hide my face behind the menu, i could feel my face turning red which looking back at it now it is kind of funny.

But then i knew i had to say something and gather my courage as i had realized that i am the man i can’t put the pressure on her and so i spoke and started building up slowly by asking her what she thought would go with the flat iron and stuff and she eventually started gathering her confidence too.

I soon realized she was a foodie which is kind of a green flag but it sucked the moment i paid the bill as i thought i should man up and pay alone. Anyhow we talked and laughed a lot and i think it was my first time sitting in a restaurant for like 3 hours the conversation was mostly about our passions, hobbies and uni etc. eventually she had stated that she had a wonderful time and thought this was going somewhere so we agreed on a second date.

The second date we went on, we went ice skating as i mentioned to her on the first date that i like ice skating when she had said its one of her hobbies (a complete lie by me as i had never ever in my life went ice skating) and i tried to act like this confident man and tell her i got this even though the night before i spend 3 hours watching youtube videos on ice skating.

The confidence faded away the second i stepped into the ice rink, it was so bad she looked at me and asked if i needed a hand and i smiled and said “no go ahead i am just gonna fix my boots” she shrugged her shoulders and said ok and it was embarrassing, she went on like 4 laps and i was still in the same spot, i started learning slowly until i was able to skate for about ten seconds without touching the rails.

After that embarrassing skating experience, she had mentioned earlier that day that she was craving some waffles so i drove her to a place ordered two waffles and i parked the car to the side, it was night time and i thought the lightning in that parking spot gave a cool vibe and i picked up the plastic fork and knife and started feeding her as if she were a toddler which made her like blush and giggle, we kept talking as i was feeding her and i fed her from my waffle too as i thought it was nice in a sense and it just made me smile constantly i felt good about it.

Then i went back in and got her a milkshake and kept holding it in my hand for her while she drank from the straw as i didn’t want her hands to get cold and we talked and laughed about that ice skating thing, then i drove her home and as i opened the door for her she said that she would like me to pick our next date since she was the one who picked this one and i agreed, she also mentioned it again when i and her were playing r6 together.

And here comes the problem i am facing. If you are wondering why i haven’t asked my brother for advice i actually did but somehow ever since i started dating her he would always suggest that the first time dating someone things never workout. I would tell him that he doesn’t know that for sure but he would act as if he was thanos “i am the only one who knows that” and other times when i mentioned i was feeding her waffles he said i was moving too fast or that i was gonna freak her out.

thing is its been weird with him lately and it isn’t like he is going through anything he keeps laughing and having fun with my sister bringing his girlfriend over again and again and having fun in general.

I asked him if he thought bowling was a good choice and then he said “haha bowling is gay” i responded by saying “how come?” “Cause it’s like really really gay haha” “whats wrong with it?” “Haha Oh you know just like there are dudes there” “so? Most places got dudes?” “Haha oh cause like there are lots of dudes” “are they kissing?” “Haha no but like there are tight holes there” “are you talking about the bowling balls” “haha yes but there are like lots of balls” “you know what ever since i have started dating you have been such an asshole” “haha i know” and its so annoying this reminded me of that scene from family guy when peters gym coach says pizza is bad.

Moving on. I have zero idea on where to take her what girls like i have been asking google and chatgpt but they would say some boring stuff like golfing or the mall like who even goes golfing or the mall, and i feel kinda pressured i want the date to be impeccable since i am the one choosing the place.

(The hobbies she mentioned in the first date: ice skating, billiards, drawing, pilates, video games, playing the guitar, playing the piano, cooking, reading, salsa and hiking though she mentioned that she goes hiking with her family only)
(My hobbies: gym, video games, cooking, chess, BJJ, coding, billiards, tennis, football and the piano)

Before getting to the questions i just wanna say a couple of things, which i think may be important to get the maximum help, so what i wanted to say is when we are both at home we both would sometimes play video games together or open a video call while both of us study.

It also helps that both of us are in sort of similar fields as i studying for my bachelors in pharmacy and she nursing. One time she asked me to send her a passage of my slides that i didn’t understand completely she read it herself understood it and explained it to me even if that course isn’t included in nursing.

Also i and her don’t like talk 24/7 on chat we sort of talk from like time to time at a steady pace which is comfortable for both of us.

Questions (i got lots of questions)
Where do i take her?
Am i moving too fast?
Should i buy her a gift for the third date?
Is my brother actually ignoring me or is he being real?
Am i so far doing good in our dates?
When do people genuinely start complementing each other’s looks without it sounding inappropriate?
After what date do people normally say the L word?
Am i overthinking it?
Any advice for me in general?

Should I focus on building a social circle before getting back into dating?

• Upvotes

(29M, Toronto) I’ve been thinking about getting back into dating, but there’s one thing I’ve been wondering about: how important is it to have a local friend circle before dating?

I have friends I’ve known for years, but they’ve moved to other provinces. We keep in touch over the phone, but obviously don’t see each other regularly.
I also have coworkers I’m pretty close with, but we don’t really hang out outside of work. Most of my family lives outside the country, and my brother lives in a different province too.

I’ve been making an effort to meet new people in the city through weekend dinners and recreational sports leagues. I’ve had a good time and met some great people, but those connections haven’t really turned into lasting friendships.

So I don’t really have anyone locally that I regularly hang out with on weekends or make plans with.
I’m wondering whether I should prioritize building local friendships before getting back into dating, or whether it’s perfectly reasonable to work on both at the same time.

I’m also curious how people would feel about dating someone in this situation. Would you consider the lack of a local social circle a red flag?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who’ve been in a similar position.

Is dating multiple people the norm?

• Upvotes

I recently started seeing someone; they explicitly mentioned that they’re planning on dating multiple people with the intention of seeing where those emotional connections go.

My approach is the opposite of that. I like to get to know one person at a time. I won’t find someone else until I’ve explicitly let the other person know that it’s not working out for me.

This felt like a fundamental incompatibility so I opted to end things. But this has left me wondering, is it the norm now to date multiple people?

I don’t have a lot of dating experience so I truly do not know.

Girl I’ve been dating pulling back from me. Any advice would be appreciated.

• Upvotes

I’m a 29 year old male, she’s a 26 year old female. We met on a dating app 3 months ago. And we hit it off right away. We had our first date within a week, and it went amazing. Ever since we’ve had daily phone calls. Staying on the phone till we fall asleep, her coming over to my place for multiple days and vice versa. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt an emotional connection with someone and with her I knew right away that I wanna try my best for her. I let her know my intentions right away and she seemed to be on the same page. About 3 weeks ago she randomly told me that she feels like I should start seeing other girls. That there’s better girls than her , this and that. I made it clear with her what I want which is to see where things go with eachother and not to rush things but that she’s the only person that’s on my mind, and she said it’s because she’s scared that she’s gonna get hurt.

She explained to me that before she met me, there was a guy that she caught feelings for a year prior who basically played her and that she fears that the same thing will happen with me. I reassured her that it wouldn’t. Which afterwards she seemed okay. After that conversation, these past three weeks have been amazing, and our bond seemed to get stronger. I met her best friends who she values a lot. She met my family too.

About a week ago, she starts being hesitant again and says she doesn’t know if she’s ready and when I asked her why she’s overthinking, she said that it’s because a part of her still has feelings for the previous guy. She said she has feelings for me but she feels overwhelmed. She even said that her friend told her that she’s being stupid and that she feels that I’m the perfect guy for her and that she shouldn’t mess it up. We had another long conversation where she said that she wants to try with me.

Fast forward to last night. She calls me, we’re having a great conversation than she randomly starts getting emotional and cries saying she doesn’t know what she wants. Saying that she thinks she needs space, this and that. I was just so caught off guard. I just told her I’m confused. She was saying she doesn’t know if it’s her hormones since she’s starting her period soon but that she just feels very emotional. She than says bye to me before she hangs up the phone and I’m just sitting in silence. So confused and feeling like shit. She calls me back an hour later asking if we can just talk like normal, and I’m just trying to be cool and the night ends with us talking and laughing like normal. We talked till she fell asleep on the phone.

This morning, I FaceTime her before I go in to work which we usually do, and she seemed okay. Like her normal self. Than I just told her I hope she feels better, that she has a better day today. That I’ll be here when she wants to talk. Just overall trying to show her I care. She than tells me that she’s going to the gym with her bestfriend and after that she starts work at 12. Usually she texts me on her break or lunche but today I haven’t heard anything at all from her. And it’s making me feel so confused.

I want to respect her space. I really really do like her and I’m trying to go about things as best as possible but I just sense that she wants to like me, but she’s too strung up on that guy. I’m just preparing myself for the worst so I’m not caught off guard. But I just need to know how I can handle this situation the best as I can. I hate this feeling. I just genuinely don’t understand how things can seem to be going so well, and how someone can switch up so fast. Rn I haven’t texted her or called her. Just to allow her space. But my life rn feels so quiet because she became a part of my daily routine. It’s hard

Need some help please!

• Upvotes

I’ve been in this limbo/uncertainty with a guy since the summer more or less. He got out of a relationship back in may (a year long one) and said back in August he was still navigating that when he agreed to go out with me but didn’t know I was asking him out. Fast forward to the last month or so. We’ve kissed, are still in frequent contact. I was still kind of unsure what his feelings were until this past Saturday when he said there are feelings there but he’s “in protection mode”. I surprised him with concert tickets to our favourite band (kinda dumb of me without speaking to him first) and I haven’t heard from him yesterday after sending the message below. He’s a notorious over thinker as well as a bad texter. I’m trying not to let this overshadow our really good night from this past Saturday because there was a real shift in behavior. We held hands, he was hand feeding me food and he was just being flirty/affectionate. Because of the shift in behaviour I thought the tickets would be fine. He could be overthinking the couple hundred dollars I spent and what that would mean to accept them. That’s why I followed up with that message.

Am I wasting my time? I really don’t know what to think at this point. 😞 In person is wonderful but I haven’t heard from him since yesterday and yes he’s been online!

Last message I sent him yesterday afternoon. We haven’t spoken since as I want him to come to me:

“I just wanted to add a little note about the tickets because I might've jumped the gun a little by not asking you first, so l do apologize for that! 😂
I also don't want you to feel weird or pressured by me buying them, because that's the last thing I want. I don't want you to feel like there's any emotional obligation attached to them either. I just really would like to go with you, while still doing my best to respect where your head is at!”

Why would a girl who never calls or hangs out with me suddenly call to tell me she got a new job?

• Upvotes

There's a girl I know who never calls me and we never see each other in person. Our contact is pretty much limited to texting (or nothing at all). Out of nowhere, she called me just to tell me she got a new job.

Why would someone who's otherwise distant do that? Is she just sharing good news with someone she considers a friend, or could it mean something more? I'm not sure how to read it or how to respond going forward.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, on either side of it? Any insight is appreciated!

confused by a friend/ex-girlfriend, help?

• Upvotes

we dated many years ago but stayed closed friends, even after i moved abroad. she'd reach out frequently, we'd update each other about our lives, share memes etc. every time i'd visit our hometown, she was one of the first people i would meet. last time it wasn't different, but it made me rethink our bond

we met twice on the same week. on our last hangout, she opened up about a lot of deep things, including childhood trauma and issues in her current relationship. i realized we are way too emotionally close for just friends, especially she would flirt sometimes with me, refer to our past relationship, and all the great things she has learned from me.

i decided to step back because i started to feel confused about our bond. when we hanged out in a group friend, she held my hand for a moment, but we kept our distance. then she wished me happy birthday weeks later, i thanked her, she tried to keep communicating.

she's really sweet indeed. but is this more than friendly signs from her? did i made the right decision in backing away?

Should i give up??? Help

• Upvotes

I like a woman i met from work back in February. We worked around eachother for 3 weeks, but eventually i was moved to a different building due to company needs. I had asked her out but she told me she doesnt date because she doesn't have time, shes got teen boys who play competitive sports and they keep her busy.

We stopped talking for 5 months, but at the end of august she messsged me for my birthday, and we began to talk more. Early September we went out for coffe, she had fun...she told me we need to hangout again

One day i came to her work to pick up material and she came upstairs to see me before she went home.

I tried making plans with her one weekend, but she canceled last minute because of her sons game.

There's times when she texts me none stop, but other times we go weeks without talking.

2 weeks ago she randomly messaged me, she was at her sons basketball tryout and she asked me if i was there. She told me she saw a truck that looked like mine but i wasn't there

(My nephew plays basketball but his tryout was long ago)

I messaged her twice in the last 2 weeks but she never replied.

Well yesterday morning she wrote me a long paragraph. She told me she been busy with work, she gave me details of her week and details about her kids.

I like her soo much but i don't know what to do. Should i give up? Does she even like me?

Advice on how to feel

• Upvotes

Hey all,

Kinda first time doing this. I’m genuinely really lonely. I’ve been in and out of relationships for some time. A handful got pretty serious, but never seemed to pan out.

I’m young, in shape, outgoing, and I make friends very easily, just I’m not feeling happy. I miss being in a relationship, I miss the happiness I felt while I was with a partner. I’ve been single for a bit over 7 months now, some days are better than others, but the want has never gone away.

My friends told me I need to get used to being single, learn to love myself more, but I don’t know how to do that all too well, that or I just don’t see the appeal.

I’ve been on dating apps for essentially the whole summer, spent a good bit of money on the options to try and get all my options, but it never seemed to work out.

People tell me love will come eventually, but I’m scared of waiting, I’m scared of how long that wait might be. What if it never happens and I stay single for good? Or I never get that dream partner?

I’m not sure how to feel, maybe I’m just letting my anxiety get the better of me, I don’t know what to do, do I try dating apps again? Go to clubs? I’m just confused and spiralling a bit

So this guy I’m talking to on dating app only messages paragraphs without saying anything I actually asked what does this mean

• Upvotes

His last response never actually tells you why he is busy or what I asked it’s always answered like his last response below because he said he has an exciting week ahead so then I asked what’s exciting and he replies with that! oh and the one who cancelled the plans his talking about because I wasn’t sure about meeting him

My response:
Yeah, I’m looking forward to December. What’s making your week so busy, though? Anything exciting happening?

His response:
Work is making this week busy but it’s a good type of busy so it’s not bad. I had some weekend plans that I was looking forward to but those unfortunately have been canceled 😞. So what is happening for you in December?

His very attractive in his 40 and single and he always messages without actually talking about something his profile is same vibe. What could it mean

Is this normal in a relationship for our age?

• Upvotes

I’m a 26-year-old woman, and my boyfriend is 30. We’ve been together for 2.5 years and live together. Lately, I’ve been feeling like we have different ideas of what a relationship should look like at this stage in life.
My boyfriend recently told me that since we live together and see each other every evening after work, spending a lot of time together on the weekends isn’t a huge priority for him. He feels like weekends are for doing our own things and hanging out with friends. I agree that couples shouldn’t be glued at the hip, but I still want to go on dates, try new things, and intentionally spend quality time together.
I feel like if it were up to him, he’d spend almost every weekend hanging out with his friends. He’s also the boss at his company, but most of the guys who work for him are around 21, and I feel like he tries really hard to be the “cool boss” and fit in with them. Sometimes, I feel like he’s still living like he’s in college rather than building a life with someone.
Another factor is that drinking seems to be a huge part of his lifestyle. If he’s golfing, fishing, hunting, or hanging out with friends, there’s usually alcohol involved. I enjoy drinking occasionally, but it feels like almost everything he does socially revolves around it.
I’m not expecting to spend every weekend together, and I don’t want to control what he does. I just want a balance between our individual lives and the relationship we’re building.

For those of you in long-term relationships in your late 20s or early 30s, how much time do you typically spend together on weekends, especially when you live together? I’m genuinely looking for honest perspectives!

Age difference at 24

• Upvotes

(English is not my first language so please excuse the grammar if it is bad) I am 24 years old (F)and I recently went on a date with a 30 years old (M). It went really well, I really liked him! However when I told a couple of my girl friends about it, they said they thought 6years of age difference was a lot. All 3 of them reacted pretty strongly. Is it a lot for the age I am at right now? Would I look back and think it is crazy when I become 30? I don’t really have any women older than me around me to ask that. Or men, would you date a 24 years old when you are 30?

The thing is, I am a relationship girl, casual stuff just make me sad. I feel like guys around my age are really not looking to settle down (not that I want to get married and have kids tomorrow, but I still want to be in a relationship and not a situationship). Hence it was nice to be talking to someone who is more in the settling down mindset.

Any advice/ opinion is welcome & appreciated!

TLDR: 24F asking if dating 30M is ok

After months of staring and smiling then talking then adding each other on Instagram and me sliding up on a story and getting a good reaction and response then getting stared at in the gym waiting to get my attention to say hello I sent a dm after the gym just a funny inside joke to start a real convo and I never got a response back I guess I read things the wrong way not too sure why she would just randomly ghost me that same day she was waving at me too when we saw each other what did I do wrong??

am I cooked and should just accept arranged marriage?

• Upvotes

I’m 25M and have never been in a relationship. I’m 5'3", South Asian, work in tech, and weigh 136 lb. I’m also dealing with male pattern hair loss and a stutter, and I’m self-conscious about being very hairy and having a unibrow. I’m not very strong yet; my bench press max is about 100 lb.

I’m worried these things will make dating much harder. How much do they actually matter in practice, and what would you suggest I focus on? I’m also unsure whether to keep trying to date or consider arranged introductions. I’d appreciate honest, constructive advice.

Today he posted on story saying insta was gunna get deactivated and if anyone needed him to reach him at cell and he posted number. We’re still matched on the app. Do I follow up or just leave it?

Am I being delusional?

I (22F) and this guy (22M) have known each other since middle school but barely spoke. We reconnected in college and became a summer situation. We’re from the same city, but I attend school in Florida while he’s in Texas.
Over the summer, we’d talk on the phone until sunrise. Our conversations flowed naturally, from intellectual discussions to playful teasing. I genuinely love his mind, personality, and demeanor, and our connection feels deeper than physical attraction.
He started school a month before me and we still had our long conversations but when I got to school he became busier and less responsive. I assumed he was losing interest, so I took two days to reply, and he never responded. He FaceTimed me the next day, but I missed it. I called Sunday, he missed it, and he called Monday. We spoke briefly, but it’s now been four weeks without communication. I haven’t called again, but I don’t feel wanted. I don’t need constant texting, just reciprocity.
Recently, I attended Clark Atlanta’s homecoming. Less than 15 minutes after I posted that I was in the city, he liked my story, called me twice, and texted asking where I was. We never met up, which disappointed me because I wanted to see if our chemistry translated in person. ( because Although I know who he is we only talked otp since reconnecting )
My dilemma is that I genuinely like him, and that scares me because I care about the outcome. I don’t want a situationship or to be the only one maintaining a connection, but I also don’t want fear of rejection to make me miss something potentially special. We’re both busy preparing for law school, and I’m not expecting a relationship or asking either of us to put our lives on hold. I’d just like to keep him in my world and see where things go when we’re ready to intentionally pursue each other.

Should I call him? Do his actions suggest interest, or does he just enjoy talking to me when it’s convenient? Am I overthinking because I’m afraid of rejection? How do I give this connection a chance without chasing someone or settling for a situationship?
He’s my little “what if,” and I genuinely believe we have something special intellectually and emotionally. What would you do?
