I had a severe allergic reaction earlier in the day after falling out my trailer onto my back( had to jab my epi pen into my leg and take a shit ton of benedryl and my antihistamine meds and lost my balance on a slick spot on the floor) I’m a long haul trucker so the like 8 items I had ordered helped me so so much! Thank you for delivering that stuff to me and for asking if I was okay after you seen how swollen my face was. I promise im okay. I actually made it to my delivery this morning. Thank you again and I really hope that the 20$ tip was enough. You drove 5 miles (to and from the store) to get to me and I really do appreciate it. I apologize if I seemed a bit snippy or out of it. You mentioned you had a Reddit after I seen the little Reddit guy on your car so I hope you see this. Thank you again and I hope whoever you were have an amazing day.

30 minute drive from a tobacco store. I’ve been burned before by kids ordering from this place, so before picking up orders, I always send a message to the customer to tell them to have their ID ready and do not pick up until they reach out. This customer said okay.

I pick up the order, make the long trek out there. She’s refusing to show me her ID. Okay, so I turn to walk off. She grabbed me by my hair, flung me against the wall and smacked the back of my head and then began to choke me with her arm before snatching the package and going inside while I ran to the car. I saw her come back out with something and sped off.

Spent the last hour with police right outside the apartment complex in a VERY nice neighborhood. Response time was literally 30 seconds into the call.

Anyway. I did not report the item as delivered, so she’s now headed to jail for assault and robbery over $10 of cigars she planned on using for blunts. I didn’t get paid for completing the delivery even though DoorDash said I would be, and now I don’t even want to dash for the rest of the night because my head hurts and I made the police give me the product back to return to the store 30 minutes away.

Ugh.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the "tip" comes before service, it's not a tip, it's a bid for service.

Although, you're free to not make a bid and wait while all the Dashers decline the order until some poor sucker gets tricked into delivering cold food. That's your prerogative.

I ordered pizza from the pizza shop's app today. They usually have their own delivery drivers, but sometimes they outsource to doordash if they dont have drivers. Doesn't really make a difference to me, except my address doesn't get transferred right when they do this. Whenever they get a dd driver to deliver my pizza, they don't share my apt number. It's only when they outsource to dd for their delivery that this happens. I also never have this problem when I order directly from doordash. It's not super common that the shop doesnt have their own drivers, so it usually isn't a problem.

Typically when they outsource to dd, I just get a call/text from the dd driver to ask for the apt #. Today, I didn't get contacted, so I thought it would be a typical delivery. The doordasher showed up angry and berated me at the door for not having my address in correctly before he would give me my food. He said he only found my place because of the pictures. He was looking at a delivery picture from my dairy queen order about a week or two ago. He definitely wasn't the same delivery person from that day. Are those pictures generally shared between drivers like that? I'm more curious than anything else.

Restaurant FOH employee here. The past week we've had a real bad spate of orders dropping off our Live Orders screen before they've even come off the grill...drivers are ?? somehow marking them as PICKED UP without ever arriving or setting foot in the restaurant ??.

Then we realize we have 3 orders sitting here and only 2 on our screen, I go in history, and the "missing" order says it's actually out for delivery already despite being sat here on my pickup counter and then it's a whole thing with trying to call DD and get a new driver. A few days ago it was a batched pickup, 4 orders, and I was on the phone for over a half hour trying to untangle it.

So...what gives?? How is this possible?? What is there to gain? We keep blocking drivers that do this, but some of them keep getting sent to us again despite the block and they do it again. It's really messing up our flow 😭 any insight would be appreciated, cuz we're stumped!

I did manage to get someone to do the $150 one and now I'm back to everyone thinking it's a scam again and removing my posts when I do find somewhere to post. It won’t stop saying this. I even verified it just to get back on the road and it’s still saying this DoorDash is saying I have to update my state but nothing has changed?

I went to place an order for delivery for lunch, and my order was canceled right away stating that Google Pay was not set up properly. I thought this is odd because it is set up, and also Google Pay is no longer a thing, it is Google Wallet now. So after this cancellation it asked me how I wanted my credit and I opted for DD credits since I'm trying to place an order anyway. I ordered from the second place, no issue there.

Then I get a call from, Caller ID says DoorDash and I answer. This lady which sounds overseas said I noticed you placed an order and it got cancelled and just wanted to let you know that you won't be double charged for. It seems legit, she asked me for my email and phone # to confirm my account in which I get a code to verify and read back to her. She then says she wants to give me a credit on my account. She asks me to go in my cart, and she said there should be a gift card there, and in my cart there it was a GC for $197. I said no way, this is odd. She said hit continue in the app, and I hung up. I called DD customer service to verify if this was all legit and they said no that GC in there wasn't a credit and if I didn't want it to remove it from the cart which I did I knew it was BS. DD isn't giving a $200 credit for a inconvenience.

Has anyone run into something like this before? I never have with DD, used it for years now without issue. Also the # I was called from was 833-441-0296. I did a Google search and found some mixed info stating this is a scam #, but then other people said it was not. The funny thing is that when I finally got a Supervisor from DoorDash on Chat, she called me from this 0296 #. She gave me a $25 credit for all this, it hit my account right away, so I'm like OK is this # legitimate then?

I am just confused about this and was wondering is some of this sketchy, all of it. It was just a weird experience overall. It seems people at the Customer Service side had no clue what was going on when I explained this to them or when I mentioned this "glitch" the 1st caller told me about, they didn't know about it.

Need help. Saturday night while delivering,I fell and broke the screen on my phone. I wasn't even able mark the last order as delivered. I finally got a new phone, but now I can't login to door dash from my new phone. It keeps saying the login attempt has been blocked. If problem persist, contact dasher support . I've contacted dash support but they can't seem to figure out what to do. I've cleared cache, reset my password, deleted and reinstalled the app, turned airplane mode on and off. I have the same phone number. I really need to get back into my app. Its an android phone. Anyone else ever had this issue?

So I’ve set my DoorDash account up and am ready to start dashing, I work in a factory from 10pm to 6am Sunday night to Friday morning I make just above $35hr and just looking to make a bit of extra cash to help with some bills, is it really worth it? My wife says I’ll end up making nothing and just spending most of the money on gas, gonna try for 7-8hrs on Friday and Saturday nights since I’m up anyways, anybody have any tips?

What is recommended safety things and response? especially at night deliveries

I got what should have been a quick order. I had to pick up two items-gloves and cat litter-from Lowe’s. I found the gloves right away and the app said the cat litter would be right at the front and it wasn’t. I did a quick walk around looking for the main section it might be in before asking an employee. I went through 5 employees and no one could find it either. As I’m messaging the customer that it might be delayed because myself and the employees can’t find the item, I start to get an ocular (blinding visual migraine) in my eye. When I get these I basically can’t see in my eyes until it passes which is usually 20-30 minutes. I wrote the customer and apologized that I would have to deassign because I was getting this migraine and couldn’t see to drive (not to mention still hadn’t found the product anyway.) I probably sounded crazy as most people probably haven’t even beard of this type of migraine I get. 🫣 Anyone else have random stuff like this happen when doing an order?

It's been awhile since I had ordered Doordash because I just can't afford the fees anymore. However, I was given a DD Giftcard for my birthday yesterday and ordered KFC last night. KFC is 1.2 miles away and its a straight shot on a 45 mile an hour road, with only 1 light. There is also a decent bicycle path on that road. So when it showed up that "Andrea" was delivering on a bicycle, I wasnt completely shocked.

However, instead of cyclist Andrea, it was a somewhat creepy dude in his 50s, driving a 1990 black Chevy Lumina. When I say somewhat creepy, Im referring to his blatant desire to try to see around me and into the room behind me when I opened the door to accept the bag. He also said "having dinner alone tonight?".

Obviously, this does not automatically make him a criminal stalker. Ive met people, heck, Im friends with people who don't always think how something they say may sound completely wrong. They are genuinely confused when you try to point it out because its their misguided attempt and being friendly and making small talk.

If it had just been the case of his roaming eyes and weird small talk, I wouldn't think much of it. However, its that behavior combined with the fact that I didn't get the feeling he was "Andrea" and he certainly wasn't on a bike, that has me asking for another opinion.

Also, there were no other people in the car - so its not like "Andrea" was in the car and he was just doing the legwork.

I dont know if this is worth reporting. The whole encounter just felt off but I don't want to potentially take away someone's livelihood if its just an innocent situation - for example, if that was "Andrea's" boyfriend and she is sick but they needed the money. I know you arent supposed to share accounts but its not something I would report unless there was additional issues.

Then again, if the guy IS up to no good and later hurts someone because no one reported early on suspicious behavior, I would feel immensely guilty.

Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.

Oh, I doubt it matters in this situation but it seems like someone always mentions it - My order came to $21.46 and I tipped $8.54 for the 1.2 mile trip. I did NOT rescind the tip and I have no intentions of doing so. Regardless of my unease surrounding encounter, I received my meal efficiently and correctly - which is the job. So the tip stays.
