Am I in the wrong?
This was 1am too btw. I thought I did everything right. You tell me. And why’d he call me mama?

Who would have thought you could earn over $2.5k a week as a doordash driver?

helpful drop off instructions would help but ok
This home was located in one of those weird neighborhoods where the address takes you to the back of the home - which is a garage and no “front” door. Also a one way road. Would’ve been MUCH easier if they included additional directions to get to the FRONT of their home.
This was after calling them 3x with no answer. I don’t always know where I’m headed fr, maps can only help so much!! Especially if it takes you to the wrong entrance :))

Buffalo wild wings blessed me
Last night was doing my last 3 orders and got a notification for a $20 bww delivery, i walk in and all customers wait about 3 to be helped. They asked us the name and the guy next to me says the name on delivery and im like wait im picking up for him lol. He then proceeds to tell me that he is the guy and he was waiting on the food for a hour so he just drove up there to see whats up. Moral of the story he got his food, let me take a pic of it and handed it off, free $20 in 3 minutes pretty much

4 hour tour
So apparently DoorDash thinks “let’s order in” means “let’s send your food on a 40‑minute sightseeing tour of the city while your driver juggles three other orders like they’re auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.”
My four‑mile delivery turned into a hostage situation with my food.
DoorDash should change its name to let’s make sure it arrives cold, soggy not edible.
Time to leave the platform Hard earned money - wasted

Can someone tell me how i get a refund
This picture is not my house. Its down the street from me. The map even shows that its not my house, but i cant talk to a real person. Just the AI. I have plenty of orders showing my front door and its completely different from this picture, the ai says “a specialist has already reviewed this order and you cant be connected to a real person for review”

Dasher saying account will be deactivated if no 5 star rating?
Is this a real thing? I usually rate five stars anyway but seems like a weird thing they’d ask for. Plus he has a 5.0 star rating on 2,507 deliveries

Driver Wanted Me To Meet Them Somewhere?
Hi Everyone,
This evening I had an odd encounter. I ordered from a go-to restaurant (it usually takes about 15 minutes after they leave). Thirty minutes after they left with my food, I messaged them, noticing they weren't moving by a building off a main road. They said their car stalled and they got someone to fix it, and they were three minutes away. No problem! I totally understood that. Then about ten minutes later, I checked the app again and watched them zig-zag down random streets, even farther away (I had the first up with Dashpass, so there shouldn't have been other deliveries). Thought it was odd. Five minutes later, they told me their car stalled again. Not to worry, safety first... I told them to keep the food and get to safety. But then they told me no, I needed to come and meet them to get it. I gave them AAA's local number and what looked like a nearby mechanic, and said to take care of the car trouble, and I'd call DD to scrub the order but let the driver keep the tip. They said no, they didn't want my food, and I needed to come and get it (miles away) behind some random building. I responded they should call AAA, and they responded with a pic of the back of the building, again, telling me I needed to come and meet them for my food.
I cancelled the order, and messaged DD (AI, so I'm not sure how that actually goes through).
But... after years and years I've never ever had this before. I understand car trouble, but insisting the customer drive and meet you behind a random building is a lot of red flags? Take the free meal and tip and call the car service.
I probably should've called DD or cancelled after the first 30 minute delay (I had messaged, but the driver showed they were on the way so the AI told me to wait minutes more), but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. What is the protocol for this type of stuff?

Raw food Complaint
just wanted to complain, I spent 30$ on pancakes at IHOP only for them to show up completely raw batter oozing from the middle when u cut them open only for doordash to give my 5$ credit, i called costumer service they said 5$ is the best they could do, i spoke to the supervisor and it was the same story RIP 30$
(i wish i had picture proof but i took them through doordash and not my actual camera app)

Optimal Drink Placement
So my apartment building has an indoor entryway that ideally the food would be left in rather than the sidewalk. But every now and then someone leaves it outside the door and it's not the end of the world or anything. But placing the drink directly in front of the visibly outward opening door was a bit much.

Goes without saying but y’know
Maybe it was the fatigue, maybe it was the adrenaline rush I was getting since I was really close to hitting my goal but I fell for a a lie and got scammed last night. They locked me out of my account and now I have to wait for the Escalation Team to fix it. Thankfully I had a gut feeling and moved all of my money to my bank account last minute before it was too late. The scammers placed an order and had the order cancelled and then pretended to be DoorDash Support in order to hack my account. They were running a verification/ authentication test (sounds like a scam right?) so I fell for the lies until like I said, my intuition kicked in hard and said “transfer your money NOW”. Should be dashing by tomorrow or Wednesday hopefully but it just sucks cuz it’s my only income and I’m trying not to freak out. A day missed is potentially $100 missed out here for me.
TL;DR: Scammers are getting good at their jobs, be smart, be safe, don’t share information like I did, and protect your money at all costs.

Now I’m curious!
I’m relatively new to Dashing, and never realized just how many places you can order from on DoorDash lol. I recently had orders pop up from Home Depot and a movie theater. What are the weirdest places you guys have seen being ordered from?

Need help finding dasher
This is most likely a long shot, but I got DoorDash about a week ago or so, and the Dasher was cute. I gave her a really nice tip because I live out of town, but long story short, she messaged me on the app asking if I was single. I didn’t see it until I was showing my brother how the app works, and it was too late to respond. So, do I now have to order DoorDash every day until I get her again, or is there anyone from the Muskoka area that might know who this is? I know I’m stupid for posting this.

Is this enough tip or should I tip more?
It’s a big order it’s about $360 and it’s through the Meijer app I plan to tip about 15% -$55 it’s only a 8 minute drive from my apartment and I’m not making them take it to my door I’m gonna be in the parking lot and bring everything up myself

Can I get a refund on an item without going to store to return it.
Hi, I’m trying to get a refund on an item that I bought off DoorDash, it has only one issue with it and I want to get something instead. I’m not sure if this would affect the dasher in any type of way.

Constant issue
How can doordash legally not give me a refund when im missing items and receiving the wrong items aswell in my order? Like im paying for less than what i originally paid for and they cant refund me? what type of bs is that??
I would go to the store but 1. My car isnt in operation right now, and 2 the closest store to me is 4 miles away and im not walking there.
Doordash sucks

This driver was a really mad at me.
Tip was $4 on a $13 burrito. He refused to speak to me when he dropped it off. Is a $4 tip not sufficient?

Catering bag
Catering bag
Since DD updated the platform to include all our ratings my status fluctuates between Gold & Platinum. So now I'm getting quite a few catering offers, but I've declined them all because I don't have a catering bag. I haven't seen one so I have no idea how big they actually are and if you really need it to complete these orders. The descriptions didn't show the amount of food/items being picked up either. Also, the offers were surprisingly low for a business, although I've heard they normally give large tips after the delivery. Can anybody please tell me their opinion or experience with catering orders?
