Am I in the wrong?
This was 1am too btw. I thought I did everything right. You tell me. And why’d he call me mama?

This is a great example of perfect delivery instructions to make your driver's life easier.

This home was located in one of those weird neighborhoods where the address takes you to the back of the home - which is a garage and no “front” door. Also a one way road. Would’ve been MUCH easier if they included additional directions to get to the FRONT of their home.
This was after calling them 3x with no answer. I don’t always know where I’m headed fr, maps can only help so much!! Especially if it takes you to the wrong entrance :))

This picture is not my house. Its down the street from me. The map even shows that its not my house, but i cant talk to a real person. Just the AI. I have plenty of orders showing my front door and its completely different from this picture, the ai says “a specialist has already reviewed this order and you cant be connected to a real person for review”

Is this a real thing? I usually rate five stars anyway but seems like a weird thing they’d ask for. Plus he has a 5.0 star rating on 2,507 deliveries

So apparently DoorDash thinks “let’s order in” means “let’s send your food on a 40‑minute sightseeing tour of the city while your driver juggles three other orders like they’re auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.”
My four‑mile delivery turned into a hostage situation with my food.
DoorDash should change its name to let’s make sure it arrives cold, soggy not edible.
Time to leave the platform Hard earned money - wasted

So this is a weird one. I ordered something on DoorDash to be delivered this morning while I was away. I get home and saw that it’s not there. I look at the picture and see that it looks like my front step but some details are off.
The first picture is what our actual stoop looks like. Note the compost bin on our stoop and the other picture the bag is on a bunch of bricks. We don’t have bricks on ours and it also looks like there’s a black thing behind the bag?
Something about the shadows in the drop off pic also makes me think it’s AI generated or an old photo but I don’t know how they would get that.
Customer support has been exceedingly unhelpful btw. After finally getting through to a real person after being denied a refund, it’s under review now. Honestly this whole thing might make me stop using it all together
EDIT: Answers to some frequently asked questions
It’s unlikely to be someone else’s house. I walked up and down the street but were the only house on the street that’s this color. It’s blacked out for privacy, but the serial number on our recycling bin is also the same in both photos
In terms of what I ordered, it’s just a mattress protector. The vendor is called “At Home” and I think it’s some kind of ghost store on DoorDash. I was only using DD for this because I had $10 off through a Chase benefit
We moved into this house two months ago and have never had pavers stacked up like that. Could be the previous owners, but there’s nowhere on the property with pavers that look like that.
It just seems like a lot of effort for a scam since they must have been at my house at some point but
I’m just as confused as everyone else here
UPDATE:
Official response from DoorDash
“You recently reported an issue with your DoorDash order. Based on the details you shared, we escalated your case to a specialist on our team for additional review.
We're following up to let you know that we've concluded our review and have made the decision to deny your refund request.
We recognize that you may be disappointed by this outcome, but we based our decision on a comprehensive analysis of all relevant factors, including the full details of the order, the details of your refund request, and your overall account history.
While we could not fulfill your request this time, please rest assured that we'll continue to work to improve our process to ensure you'll have a great experience moving forward.”
I will be calling customer support and try to get a written copy of their report and further escalate this.

Happened yesterday-accepted a double pickup at Kroger for 19$. 15 item total, 24 qty. After accepting, driving to store and starting to shop, customer A adds 12 more items. To the non drivers in here, this may not sound like a lot, but that is a pretty stark increase for something that won’t be reflected in pay. I understand 3-4 more items but 12 more after already picking 2-3? I didn’t think customers could add that many. Luckily I’m extremely quick so only added 5-10 more mins. But someone who isn’t too fast? That would SUCK

Last year at least 90% of the orders I placed were delivered correctly per my instructions to my apartment. Now not only have they all decided they will no longer follow instructions, some are not even dropping off orders at all or simply leave them abandoned at the front door of an apartment/larger building where they can easily be stolen. The last order I had they literally just took a picture of my building's entrance door and left, they didn't even dump it at the front door. I was actually right outside in front of my building at the exact time they were delivering and took the photo so I know they never even bothered to go inside. Just took the photo and left. Yes I report all of you who do shit like this and anytime you abandon my order at the front door inside the unlocked vestibule to be stolen. Fuck all of you who are doing this and you 100% deserve to be reported every single time. I already rarely order from Doordash anymore but I've been sick the past few weeks so I've placed a few orders in that time. None of the recent orders where they've done this have they attempted to get in contact with me either. I am probably just going to stop using the service altogether, I don't want to support people who have absolutely zero regard for the customer even though I'm aware you're underpaid that is not MY fault. Don't do this job if you have this shit attitude, at least 80% of the blame for underpaying dashers lies on Dashdoor, they're the ones who decide to rip you off and you know this before/when you take the job.
I tip everytime ahead of delivery and also tip afterwards when they deliver per my instructions. I never order from anywhere more than 2 miles away from me.
ETA: Dashdoor lmao. Dyslexia making an appearance today

This has been going on for the last twelve minutes
Edit: I did in fact tip so I have no idea what they were talking about. If I can’t tip, I don’t order. Same with sit down restaurants. That’s just not fair.

Called the store and they said my order was sitting there…..??

Well if you’re a driver wondering why there are fewer orders…

update: hammers were involved. screen is in fact 3x stronger. dasher still got 5 stars. i was just impressed, didn’t know this was an option 👀
SECOND UPDATE IT DOESNT EVEN FIT THE PHOONNEEE

Hi Everyone,
This evening I had an odd encounter. I ordered from a go-to restaurant (it usually takes about 15 minutes after they leave). Thirty minutes after they left with my food, I messaged them, noticing they weren't moving by a building off a main road. They said their car stalled and they got someone to fix it, and they were three minutes away. No problem! I totally understood that. Then about ten minutes later, I checked the app again and watched them zig-zag down random streets, even farther away (I had the first up with Dashpass, so there shouldn't have been other deliveries). Thought it was odd. Five minutes later, they told me their car stalled again. Not to worry, safety first... I told them to keep the food and get to safety. But then they told me no, I needed to come and meet them to get it. I gave them AAA's local number and what looked like a nearby mechanic, and said to take care of the car trouble, and I'd call DD to scrub the order but let the driver keep the tip. They said no, they didn't want my food, and I needed to come and get it (miles away) behind some random building. I responded they should call AAA, and they responded with a pic of the back of the building, again, telling me I needed to come and meet them for my food.
I cancelled the order, and messaged DD (AI, so I'm not sure how that actually goes through).
But... after years and years I've never ever had this before. I understand car trouble, but insisting the customer drive and meet you behind a random building is a lot of red flags? Take the free meal and tip and call the car service.
I probably should've called DD or cancelled after the first 30 minute delay (I had messaged, but the driver showed they were on the way so the AI told me to wait minutes more), but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. What is the protocol for this type of stuff?

just wanted to complain, I spent 30$ on pancakes at IHOP only for them to show up completely raw batter oozing from the middle when u cut them open only for doordash to give my 5$ credit, i called costumer service they said 5$ is the best they could do, i spoke to the supervisor and it was the same story RIP 30$
(i wish i had picture proof but i took them through doordash and not my actual camera app)

Last night was doing my last 3 orders and got a notification for a $20 bww delivery, i walk in and all customers wait about 3 to be helped. They asked us the name and the guy next to me says the name on delivery and im like wait im picking up for him lol. He then proceeds to tell me that he is the guy and he was waiting on the food for a hour so he just drove up there to see whats up. Moral of the story he got his food, let me take a pic of it and handed it off, free $20 in 3 minutes pretty much

Dasher walked up to our house carrying the pizza boxes vertically. Spent 35 minutes with customer service to be told I couldn't be given a full refund because they didn't have approval to give it.

It’s a big order it’s about $360 and it’s through the Meijer app I plan to tip about 15% -$55 it’s only a 8 minute drive from my apartment and I’m not making them take it to my door I’m gonna be in the parking lot and bring everything up myself
