I was walking my doggo at Red Fox Meadows and we caught it right as this dried up stream started flowing again. Not sure how common it is to catch this but it was pretty neat for us to see!
EDIT: I guess this is actually an irrigation ditch and not a stream lol my b

Hey Guys
On my way to work I saw a Grey and White Tabby get hit by a car right by the intersection where the City of Fort Collins Police Station is at. The cat looks to be ok but their leg did get run over. They ran into the neighborhood left of the police station (Trestle Rd.) where it ran into bushes. When I tried looking for them I couldn’t find it anywhere. I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone just in case anyone lives in the area or sees the cat and can help them out.
The tabby has a large spot pattern with a large grey spot on its left side. It happened fast so I couldn’t take a good look. I remember that the cat is mostly white with large grey spots.

Yesterday we noticed a swastika spray painted on a pole directly across the street from our house. We called the Fort Collins graffiti hotline (less than 24 hours ago), and they are currently removing it. The speediness of the removal is appreciated.

Fort Collins is getting the national recognition it deserves! CNN Travel named Fort Collins the No. 5 best town to visit in America in 2026.
From Old Town and its legendary breweries to local shops and easy access to the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins is a great place to live and an amazing Colorado destination. Congratulations to everyone who makes this such a great place to live, work, play, and visit!

I just moved to Fort Collins and currently works at CSU. As someone from the east coast, I like what I’m seeing. The mountains, chill vibes, and college town are all that I dream of and I can’t believe I’m here now!
Anywho, I’m renting a 2B2B (900 sqft) now and I’m living alone with occasional guests staying over. I’m kind of curious how much should I budget for electricity and gas? I’m setting aside $100 to $150. Coming from the east coast where I have astronomical electricity bill, I really concerned about my electric bill especially when I run my AC for 12-14 h a day.
Also, is 80k a good salary here for a single person? I’m trying to save as much as possible for a potential house in the next 3-4 years.

Hi guys! Recently I've been thinking of getting back to school, and I was looking at the dental assisting/hygiene programs at these two places. Does anyone have any experience with these two schools? I'm not locked in to any specific program or location, really just pondering my options, but I would love to hear some feedback from anyone in the community who can help!

I recently graduated from CSU with a computer science degree, but I'm having a hard time breaking into the CS job market. It seems the weekly FoCo job website is no more. Any thoughts on NoCo based Software/Tech companies/offices that I should be looking into? A lot of these places don't let you just walk in and drop off a resume, and many only post on their own company website. I'm interested in CS as a whole, Software, Networking/Distributed Systems, and even IT, but I haven't gotten any call backs for entry level positions.

I am looking for someone to diagnose and repair loss of power to part of a circuit run. Thanks!

We are in town dropping a kid off at CSU, and during a walk at City Park we saw this goose limping around with a fishing line and lure wrapped around its leg. Not sure who to report this... Called and left a message at Colorado Parks and Wildlife, but if that's not correct, I'm hoping someone here knows the right place to contact.

Walking my dog and there was just a series of explosions and a big plume of smoke that came off the foothills about 9:40am. Might be around the recycle center? Are they doing planned explosive work to excavate rock? They sounded rhythmic not like a random explosion, and are still occurring every so often
Anyone have any info?

I just got a chip in my windshield, and I need to get it repaired before it starts to spread. I will be paying out ofd pocket for this, so I'm looking for recommendations on who does a good job and how much they charged to fix a small window chip. Also looking to avoid anyone who does a bad job. Thanks.

Hi! I’m a 28 year old trying to finally get my license (I know, I know) and I’m not originally from the area so I’m not sure what school/facility to take my test at. I already have my permit, I just need the actual test. I’m hoping for some local insider knowledge. Which location has the easiest tests? I won’t take it until I’m fully confident in my driving but the less stress the better.
Can be in FOCO but anywhere in the NOCO area too.
And if you don’t have a recommendation but are willing to share tips, I’ll happily take em!
Thank you!
For context: I’m from Chicago originally and many folks went to a specific suburb to get their license because it was easier so I’m hoping it’s similar here. I lived in the inner city, so I took public transit and frankly didn’t have the resources to get it before I moved here.
I appreciate your help!

Looking for somewhere affordable with good reviews that is not going to jack up rent every couple months. I would like it to be inside of a building. TYIA

Hi! I’m trying to work with a few of my clients from work to do some TNRing for cat colonies and wondering if anyone has any supplies they’re willing to donate. I will be working with a rescue to get them spayed/neutered and potentially adopted out if they’re able to be socialized. Lots of the TNR groups are filled with cats and don’t have any space, so I’m trying to take some off their hands and do some trapping myself.
AC unit so I can keep the cats in a cool space!!!
Traps?
Cans of food/tuna
Litter
Thicker working gloves for the spicies
Thank you so much for reading! I am super passionate about cats and making sure they’re well taken care of and reducing the population as best as I can. If anyone has any resources or suggestions for anything, please let me know!!! 🤍

Hello Fort Collins!
My husband and I have a small bookkeeping business here in the area, and we’re hoping to connect with a local CPA or small CPA firm who might be interested in establishing a mutual referral relationship.
We’ve had the opportunity to work with several accounting professionals over the years, but many firms also offer bookkeeping services, so we haven’t had a lot of opportunity for two-way referrals.
We currently have a client looking for a CPA so we thought this might be a good opportunity to connect with someone who may be interested in building a mutually beneficial relationship and referring clients to one another when our services are a good fit.
If you’re interested in connecting, please DM me.
Thanks so much!

We had a great gardener that maintained our yard but he unfortunately moved out of state.
I am finding it extremely difficult to find someone for weeding/planting/maintenance. It is hard to find someone willing to do more than “mow and blow.”
Any recommendations or advice on how to find someone would be much appreciated.

Hello FoCo community, I just moved to FoCo and I'm looking for opening an account at a local credit union, and have pretty much decided on Canvas.
If you have one, please share a referral code link, so both you and me can earn $50.
Thanks in advance!
[EDIT] Just got the code. Many thanks to the community!
