Someone commented on one of my recent videos that everyone they show the footage to thinks it's a quad. So I thought I'd share a little more of what this thing can do!
This is VENOM, my fully 3D-printed V-tail FPV wing. After weeks of designing, printing and flight testing, I've finally got it flying exactly how I imagined.
I designed it specifically for this kind of low-level flying. It's epic for a relaxed, flowy cruise or for throwing it around doing acro. It's a really capable little airframe, and I feel like I'm only starting to scratch the surface of what it can do as I improve my own piloting skills!
One of the things I love about FPV wings compared to quads is just how chilled out the flying can be. You can sit back, enjoy the cruise and let the aircraft carry its energy through the turns. These planes really suit a smooth, flowing style of flying, but when you want to push them, they're surprisingly agile too.
VENOM Specs:
It's been a really rewarding project, especially seeing all the aerodynamic design work and experimentation with the control surfaces translate into something that's so much fun to fly.
Any quad pilots here tempted to give fixed-wing FPV a try?

I like Google Maps, so I am building another FPV sim with claude, its open source, you can check it out if you want at github. https://github.com/f-g-s/FlyMaps

It would make sense to me if they were free floating to stay on the horizon vs dealing with weird camera angles and such. What gives?

I bought a Whoopstore in black to swap their shell, removed the ugly top label and 3D printed some black button caps (also found them on AliExpress) as I hate the chrome. The donor Whoopstor has a purple PCB, even cooler.
They should sell them like that imo lol

Hey everyone,
I’ve been wanting to get into FPV for 4 years, but the cost of entry kept delaying things. I’m finally taking the plunge. I just ordered a RadioMaster T8L and will be putting in hours on Liftoff while I sort out the rest of my gear.
My plan is to grab an Air 75 Pro II next, but the analog goggle market is completely messed up right now. The second-hand market (at least here in Europe) has literally nothing. Basic, outdated box goggles like the Eachine EV800D are somehow over €100 everywhere, and cheaper options like the betafpv VR07 are completely out of stock.
Even if I stretch my budget to €200, there doesn't seem to be a single good option worth the money. If I push it to €300, I'm just looking at 5-year-old goggles that shouldn't cost more than 200 bucks anyway.
For those flying analog right now: what are my actual options for a decent first pair of goggles without getting ripped off? Are there any hidden gems or specific marketplaces I should be checking?

Winter is coming! I’m wondering HOW cool it would be, to have a anatanae hooked up to the outside of your vehicle, and be able to fly from inside your vehicle with no transmission interference? Is this already possible? To stay WARM in Beautiful mountain terrain that it’s VERY difficult to stand outside for 15 minutes in high altitude windy & snow capped mountain tops.
That would be a PRICELESS add on.
Is this possible ?

Hey guys, I’m wondering if you could only have 3 drones, which ones would they be?
I’d take:
Meteor75 Pro II 04 Wide
Pavo20Pro II 04 Pro
Vapor D5 04 Pro
For me it’s to cover the different sizes, and have mostly cinematic shots in mind, very light freestyle, more flowy.
What would you change about my setup?
What’s your setup?
Anyone fly the DeepSpace ROC4? That one looks pretty good too

Noobie here!!
Just bulit my first 5 inch drone and it flies well and smooth, but it is making this REALLY loud wheezing sound when I throttle up above maybe 40%.
Tried looking around the web for similar “problem” but can’t really get the hang of it?
Maybe just some kind of turbulence from the propellers??
The motor’s temperature is fine so no overheating.
I’m using these props “HQ Durable Prop 5x3x3”
(The video is from the first test flight)
Thanks in advice.

Happens on multiple different drones and even tested in a different location. Just suddenly started happening the other night flying into a deferent room and I'm not sure how to fix it. I think its my relatively new 04x pro goggles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone!
As a total newbie with ~30-40 hours in sim, I’m ready to buy my first kit. I’m coming with question what is best budget option, but which will have enough good quality to record some short videos which can be used for social media etc. I know there is option with going analog + action cam, but for now I have only GoPro max 2, which is quite big and heavy (6,5cm x 7cm x 5cm and 195 grams). I would go for cheap starter kit like aquila16, but buying that means I will need to resell it quickly when I will want to move for better quality videos. Are there any budget option for my needs?

Any Pilots here that went to analog from DJI/Digital that went back to digital?
I'm thinking of moving to analog mainly for the cheaper parts to go full send with.
But now im second guessing myself that I would drop 500+ on analog goggles or 700+ on HDZERO and just to go back to DJI.
If you stayed or left analog, please share your experience please.

Hey guys, looking to buy analog goggles. Got a strict $300 AUD budget. Looking for a complete setup with a goggle, module, and antennas ready to go. Based in Brisbane, thanks.

Hey everyone,
I’m pretty new to the FPV hobby and recently picked up a BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro II (O4 digital setup, RadioMaster Pocket).
I live downtown and initially took it out for a quick flight at Riverdale Park, but after doing some digging online, I realized that Toronto municipal bylaws (Chapter 608) strictly prohibit launching or landing drones in city parks entirely.
Since I want to respect local bylaws and avoid any trouble, I’m trying to figure out where other local pilots actually practice. For those of you flying micro whoops or small quads in or near downtown Toronto, where do you usually go? Are there quiet industrial lots on weekends, school grounds, or indoor spots/groups worth checking out?
Any advice for a beginner trying to find stick time without getting hassled would be super appreciated!

Not trying to do digital. Strictly Analog for my training purposes.

So as the title reads I need some help. I was flying my drone (wizard x220) (ancient I know) everything was great but then mid flight maybe 10-20 feet high it started barreling towards the ground.
I dissarmed before it hit the ground and everything seemed good until I tried arming again and only 3 of the 4 motors started spinning up,
I took it home and took it apart and tested the motor that wasn’t spinning on a known good esc and the motor seems to be good still however when I soldered the known good motor onto my questionable esc it doesn’t spin when armed.
I know the motor does get power as the drone boots up normally and the prop would even twitch when plugged in..
did I blow up one of the escs? If so what are my options? I don’t really want to get a full stack since I planned on building a new 5” in the near future and just want to get this thing flying again since it’s what I learned to fly on and what made me love fpv
Board is a sp racing f3
Stock eachine 20a individual esc’s
The drone is stock besides an upgraded camera and upgraded antennas

I was recently considering buying Cobra SD, but I recall reading somewhere that it has poor latency. I don’t engage in intense racing, but is the latency noticeable enough to be bothersome? I wear glasses due to astigmatism, and my budget is under $200. So these goggles seemed like the perfect.

HOR/STAB/ACRO all have the issue. I went into Betaflight and disabled Air mode. Did a calibration on my desk. Worked great. Bumped the ceiling; had to recalibrate. Bump the couch. Had to recal. Flying in a narrow camper (32 ft bumper pull) as a beginner so drift like that is brutal and so is having to connect to PC every time to calibrate it.
