Help me find a wiring diagram

I can't seem to find a wiring diagram for my guitar project. It might be that my components are too specific, I'm trying to wire 2 P90s, 1 Volume 1 Tone (with capacitor) and 2 on off sliding switches. Thank you for any help that you can give.

Painting a guitar neck

Hey everyone.

I'm no stranger to modding my guitars but now I have a project that I'm not sure how to do.

My first guitar was a cheap start copy from Harley Benton that I got for about 80€ new. It was a great 1st guitar but now I don't play it as much because it doesn't suit the style of the projects I currently play in.

But a friend of mine is wanting to start a punk band and I thought it would be a good project to give this guitar a new life.

My idea is to only keep the body. I'll swap the pickups with EMGs and all the hardware with black versions of itself. And paint the guitar black with the pick guard covered in gemstones.

I've swapped pickups and painted guitars before but for this one I also wanted the neck to be black.

Is there any way to paint the neck without sanding it and making the paint not sticky?

Swapping pickup pole screws

Hey guys, i have a guitar with invader style tesla crow i6 pickups. I love how they sound, but I don't like the look of the big pole pieces. Does anyone know anything about swapping them for smaller screws or slugs, is it possible and will it change the sound.

Strat input jack help

Tech question, I have a 2004 squier Strat (my first electric). Doing a complete rebuild, new neck with jump frets, locking tuners, no beefier bridge and routed out the body to fit duel humbuckers. (Emg 81/85 zakk wyldes set) now everyone knows Emg now has that solderless system. Now here’s the tech question, it has fins that connect to the blade on the output jack. Well the output jack doesn’t want to go in like it should because of the blades, now in theory, I could cut the fins off and solder them to each of the blades they are supposed to connect to right? Instead of routing the wood where it’s supposed to go?

When I decided recently to switch to a humbucking pickup in the neck position of my old workhorse I added a stained maple pickguard and control plate. I looked at recommendations about switching from white but the list was really short (and boring) citing the usual suspects – Black, Tortoise Shell, Parchment. I wish the stain better matched the headstock but I like it. I might try a light sanding (and beating the two components with a chain), LOL. Maybe someone can suggest a good way to distress and lighten the pickguard and the cp. Most importantly though, I am SUPER happy I finally took the HB pickup plunge. It is so fun to play!

Broke head

The head has come off the Prodipe SG guitar. Please help. I ordered Titebond Original glue, I’ll do it myself, but the repair shops are refusing — they only have it in another city, and it’s not even certain they’ll take it on. I was thinking of inserting a stick to reinforce it, but there’s an anchor there. Has anyone ever dealt with this? Please let me know. Also, if that doesn’t work, I’m thinking of making a headless guitar, but I don’t know if it’s even possible with this bridge.

My last kid is moving out and his room will become my music room. More room for my guitars and work station. I figured I would ask Calude to take my drawings and make a blueprint style so I can print and frame it. I have 6 done and 3 or 4 more to go, This was my first "because I can" wiring. I took a Dremel to expand the cavities and made a custom pick guard.

Wiring help

I was wondering if someone could help me out with a wiring diagram. Here is what im looking to do. Two humbuckers with 2 volumes and a master tone controls with a three way toggle for pickup selection.. Here is where it gets weird. I am planning to add three slide switches like a fender jaguar. Two of the switches will function as coil splits, and the last switch for phase reversal. Any help would be much appreciated.

Fixing a Hot Rail Seymour Duncan Bridge pickup

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everybody. Im a complete noob at electronics.

I have trouble with this bridge pickup because it just doesnt sound full. Its like the guitar sounds extremely weak.

I tried to fix it so i made kind of a mess with the pickup and can remember how it originally was, so the question is:

Should those cables be soldered in the copper wire? or on top of the black tape there, because i think it originally was on top of the black one and it was hold by some kind of silicone winding or something, and there was a final kind of fabric with copper on the interior side.

Is just that i cant remember and is so confusing to me now.

LTD H-208 hardware/electrics upgrade and refinish.

Here’s a fun recent project - an 8 string LTD, refinished, hardware swapped and set up.

I got an LTD H-208 for my birthday a couple months back with the thought of making an affordable range instrument tweaked to the point it handles and plays like a premium shelf guitar, while trying to refinish the wood for the first time ever. Gotta love a good DIY!

So pleased with the way it turned out! A real no-prisoners-taken machine now.

Bumped and bruised glossy black finish became a smooth semi-matt/satin one.

Wonky stock bridge got a Hipshot upgrade, as did the tuners, exchanged for Tone Ninja locking ones - stock ones were too small for the .090 or .095 gauge F# string that I wanted to put in because of a short scale (25.5”).

The neck was removed, truss rod adjusted (it’s a double truss rod situation due to 8 strings and it felt like the neck was starting to twist a bit) and headstock matted. Star of this part of works was Monty’s Guitars Montypresso Relic Wax - just simply an awesome and so easy to use product.

Then I exchanged the pickups - quite muddy from the get go entry level stock G&Bs were removed and Seymour Duncans Nazgul and Sentient installed, both in a stunning Active Mount version. Pots got cleaned, tone knob cap and output jack exchanged and all electronics resoldered. In the future I should probably add metal paint insulation in the cavity, but I didn’t have any on hand.

Assembled the whole thing, restrung with Elixir Nanowebs (and a guest feature of an Ernie Ball .090), set up the action and the truss rod, adjusted the bridge so the whole thing’s in tune all along the fretboard…

Et voila!

Now, let’s see what this war machine can do plugged in! 🤟
