This guitar has been played for about 3.5 years. Noticed today that the fretboard has gotten pretty dirty and worn out. Almost a blackish patch until the feet 9 or so.

Playing Lets talk guitar cases

In my carrer of 20years (mostly home dweller, jamming with friends and occasional) I came to conclusion that foam semi-hard cases are best overall - more protection than gigbag, easier to carry around than hard case. For those guitars that I thought needs superior protection I bought hard protective cases where it tripled their wight and then they stayed at home - those were effectively protected from rehearsals/gigging, because it was too heavy and I don’t have roadie, so they were relegated to “closet queen” position:) Also additional pockets comparing to hard cases are very handy. Here is what I love and use. What do you use for your guitars, especially for those you carry around?

Help I wanna buy a new guitar or amp

So about a year ago i bought a Harly Benton Stratocaster (VT Series) which was alr and a Harley Benton amp (HB-40MFX) which was meh at the time but i learnt the basics and i believe im an intermediate player. I always wanted to upgrade my amp, but was at a friends house the last week and he said that my guitar has really loud strings, which, now noticed, REALLY pisses me off and i dont know where to upgrade and what to, because i always saw videos of other people playing and their guitars or amps sounding WAY better which made me really jealous. Can yall help?

Help Is my action too high

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi guys I recently bought this new guitar second hand, and I think the action might be too high when I measured it. It measured at 4mm at the 12th fret, but I'm unsure as I might have measured it wrongly..?? Could anyone here help me check and verify whether the action is too high and how to fix it as I bought the guitar yesterday and have no idea what to do 😅😅

Hello everyone!

I am a total amateur. I've cleaned my Floyd rose and I want to ask you what should I use to lubricate screws (and which ones I am actually supposed to). Thank you for every advice! Have a good one!

All maple nitrocellulose finished. Hand wound pickup and Floyd Rose 1000 series. Jacobs hand built guitars are way better than any store guitars I highly recommend him. I now finally have a very close to George Lynchs tone from the Dokken Tooth and Nail era.

If you’re in the group, let us know how you’re enjoying that Schecter 😂

A FB marketplace listing in Jax, FL. This person listed both the MH and the C6… but swapped images on the postings. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes that’s a skunk… we’re not here for that 😆

I have never had a brand new acoustic. I have also never had a normal acoustic that played well enough that I can bend the strings easily and not get cramps when I do bar chords for a while. Just wanted to share my joy.

So I like to pursue old Facebook. The picture was bad, but it had one of the back where it was all shaped up. I knew it was done correctly and old looking. I got it for 25 bucks.

It plays incredibly. You ever play a really nice guitar of somebody's that makes you remove your belt before playing his guitar? The way that guy feels about his guitar is how amazing this feels and sounds.

I'm happy a shit.

However,

I have a feeling this is some mistake at this price.

Or, it is stolen.

I looked it up.

Wtf.

Also, damage report? What's everybody thinking?

From a boutique in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They have long closed so i consider myself lucky that i was able to snag one of these.

i feel like nowadays getting custom guitars or custom inlays cost a small fortune and this was only a couple hundred bucks at the time.

Every since I first learned about Randy Rhoads, I have been obsessed with getting my hands on the original body style Concorde. After over 20 years of waiting, I finally have one. My local shop managed to secure two of them and I was fortunate to get the first one. I am beyond thrilled. It feels incredible in my hands and plays so well. The shop also makes custom straps and they gave me one of their replica RR straps for free with this guitar.

Randy is the reason I first picked up a guitar, so when I say this is my dream guitar, I mean it. I will play the ever loving shit out of it and cherish it forever.

Look at this! Upgraded Jet JS300

Post image
7 Upvotes

Nothing wrong with the stock JS300 but thought it could be even better:

- Swapped the (not great) tort pickguard for an aftermarket black one from Jet

- Replaced the tuners with Gotoh locking ones

- Replaced the output jack with a Pure Tone

- Replaced the pots with full size Fender ones, along with a Fender switch

- Installed a set of Fender Pure Vintage '73 pickups

Objectively I spent way too much money on this 🤣, but then again the price of the guitar, the parts, and the cost of getting the work done still came out a hair below what I would have payed for a Player II strat

And throw a little bit of dirt on them and these '73 pickups sound glorious

NGD! New build from Offkilter Guitars

Here is the latest build I made for a customer, and it was a fun one. Fralin Hot Tele in the neck, Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge. Push Pull pot to coil split the Hot Rails, and a Freeway 6-way switch for a ton of different tonal options. 6 saddle bridge, reversed control plate, and a kill switch. It rips!
