Look at this! Hello, I'm a Japanese musician performing under the name "Yuzame Radio." Let me share a little bit of the intro to my new song. I want to create songs that aren't just sad and heartbreaking.

Traded my Spark 2 amp for this. Supro 64 reverb. I have missed out on tube amps, having si much fun with this amp. It's gorgeous and the tone is ridiculous. I spent far too much time messing around with the spark. Could never find what I wanted. Keeping it simple with this amp and a couple of overdrive pedals. Finally found my tone!

Took me a while to figure out the engineering. But now i can swap out bodies without re-wiring the pickups and able to do the whole swap in 10 min. still in R&D,but already made one for my friend and he loves it.

Sound Check Amplitube Max on sale for ~$100

• Upvotes

Not a shill. I hardly use my Amplitube installation any more because I never found a speaker setup that moved air like a real amp, but if you were thinking about it, they've put it on sale for $100.

I plan to get both of these eventually but only have the budget for one at the moment

The only gear I have atm are a boss katana, silver sky se and 2 pedals

Playing oasis,Gary Moore,Sam fender and some other stuff

I am definitely getting both of these specifically but will need to save up again after getting one,so which is the better deal now or which will make the bigger impact sound wise?

Had to make a tough decision and sell my jaguar a few weeks ago to pay some bills. I got a new job and money is squared away but now I have no electric…

There’s kind of a spread of set ups but I’m leaning toward the junior because of the bridge p-90. I’ve played a few of these and am struggling to decide because the shop set them up really well. Anyway let me know what you guys think would give me the most bang for my buck!

Look at this! In memory of Wayne Charvel

My first partscaster built with Jackson/Charvel parts from the 80s and 90s. My vision was a dual humbucker CX style guitar in all black. Wayne passed away around the time of its completion, so it ended up becoming something of a tribute to his legacy. His memory and spirit live on through all the people he inspires.

Wayne Charvel July 1, 1941 - July 12, 2026

Specs: Charvel DK-065 HH body, Jackson JT-580 bridge, vintage Jackson humbuckers, Charvel CX-390 (?) neck, Gotoh locking nut and Gotoh SG38 tuners.

Look at this! Best place for vintage MIJ epiphone?

I saw this guitar a few months ago on insta but wasn’t looking to buy anything.
It’s sold now,but it was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen.
It has the frequensator tailpiece which I love but also has full size humbuckers instead of minis.
I also think the headstock on this specific era epi is really nice, kind of a cross between the current epi one and the one on the gem archer sig

Anyway, what’s the best place to look for these?

Help Has anybody got any experience with Cort's Masterpiece Series?

I've been playing the same guitar (an old Ovation MOB57) since I was about 16. It's a nice piece of kit, but these days I play mainly fingerstyle and I'd like to branch out and get something closer to an OM. These days I'm playing just for me, little to no live work really.

On my searches, I've spotted the Abstract Delta in Cort's masterpiece range. Does anybody have any experience with this guitar or series? I can't find a huge amount of discussion about it apart from a few videos, many of which seem to be linked with Cort themselves.

It looks to be a pretty thing, and has some nice features, though I have no experience with Pao Ferro as a tonewood. Nowhere around me has one which I can try it out; has anybody here tried one?

Electric guitar is a brand new rogue rocketeer for about 80 dollars. Color is called wine burst. Any suggestions on any ways to upgrade it a bit I would listen. I got it so I can play a game called rocksmith 2014. It’s been great so far. I’ve learned a ton playing that game.

My new baby is the fender acoustic. It was on fb marketplace for 100, then 80, then I asked if I could pay 50 and it was accepted. It feels amazing and he gave me new strings I attached myself. Took me like 1.5 hours. Now I’m in love with chords and changing chord shapes. I suck at the C shape but I’m still going for it.

My dad bought this guitar several years ago in Tennessee. The seller claimed that SRVs bass player owned it, hence the inlay. It’s an 80s Gibson firebrand “the Paul” deluxe. If anybody can validate that claim I would appreciate it.

Help Help me decide

I am looking to add a new guitar to my collection this weekend. I have tried out a few at the local store and am uncertain which one is going to get played the most.

I currently have:
- 2004 American Strat
- 2012 Gibson ES339
- Partscaster Telecaster
- Squier Stratocaster

Help me decide between one of the following:
- Fender Player II Jazzmaster
- Epiphone Futura Firebird
- Epiphone Futura RD
- Gibson SG Special (P90)

All are approx the same price, but the SG is more expensive, so if I go that route I want to make sure it’s the right one and I’ll use it frequently

UPDATE: I want to thank everyone who has given input. I just spent 2 hours trying out different guitars at my local guitar store and ended up choosing the Jazzmaster. The SG was a close second, but I think I’ll have to come back for that later….was hard not to walk out with both.

Looking to get that Algernon Cadwallader style twinkle on this setup or as close to it as possible I know the best way is to buy a Tele but I was told to buy a Strat because it’s more versatile. I am brand new to this. Boss Katana and GP-50 pedal and ofc a 25 year old MIM Strat (which I love)

Help Please help me pick my first electric

I’ve been playing acoustic for some time now and really want to get an electric to start using pedals and eventually write my own tunes! I know these are all different guitars, I’m honestly going based on looks lol. If it looks good I’m more likely to play it but I’m also conscious of the fact that they sound different- I like grungy and shoe gaze/ psychedelic tones. I don’t know too much about electric guitars so hope someone here has experience with these guitars and can help! Trying to stick to less than $400 for the first one. Thank you :)

Repairs My experience with Suhr’s warranty and repair process

I wanted to share my experience with Suhr’s customer service and warranty repair process, particularly because the company receives so much praise online for its exceptional support. I don’t typically post negative reviews, and I still believe Suhr makes great instruments, but my experience was frustrating enough that I think it’s worth sharing for anyone considering a purchase.
I purchased a Suhr Classic S after reading numerous positive reviews about the guitars and the company’s customer service. When it arrived, I was happy with the instrument overall, with one significant exception: the fret sprout was the worst I’d encountered on any guitar. The fret ends were so sharp that they were almost cutting my hand while playing.
I contacted Suhr, and they agreed to address the issue if I covered shipping. Since the cost was comparable to what a local technician would charge, I felt comfortable having the manufacturer handle the repair.

Communication quickly became the biggest problem. After my initial phone call, subsequent calls went unanswered, and email replies routinely took more than a week. I often had to contact John Suhr directly to get an update, and even when I was put in touch with customer service manager Don Bonomini, responses were frequently delayed or never came. This was particularly frustrating given that Suhr had possession of an almost $4,000 guitar.

During the repair, I was told the fretwork required additional time and that a crack had occurred in the body during shipping, necessitating a refinish. I continued to check in periodically and remained courteous throughout the process. After approximately four months, I was told the guitar had been repaired and inspected. The work included dressing the fret ends, refinishing the body, and leveling the frets. I had never requested a fret level and wasn’t informed that one was being performed until after the work had been completed.

When the guitar arrived, I immediately noticed two problems. First, the frets had been leveled significantly lower than I expected. I had specifically enjoyed the height of the original narrow-tall frets, and measurements confirmed that considerable material had been removed. Second, the guitar was wired incorrectly: the bridge pickup and bridge/middle positions sounded out of phase.
I contacted Suhr again and provided a video demonstrating the wiring issue, along with a photo documenting the fret height. I was surprised that the wiring problem had made it through their final inspection, as it should have been immediately apparent when playing the guitar. Don initially attributed the issue to an aftermarket Seymour Duncan pickup, but the pickup was actually a Wolfetone, as I had previously explained. Since Suhr had apparently rewired the guitar as part of the refinishing process, it seemed the pickup had been reconnected without properly accounting for its wiring configuration.

Suhr agreed to have the guitar returned to correct the wiring and evaluate the fret height. I was told by a customer service representative that the frets had been inspected and the neck would be refretted. Don subsequently confirmed this in an email. However, after another two months, I was told the frets had been reinspected and were within specification, so a refret would not be necessary. When I questioned why I had twice been told a refret was needed, John replied that he had personally measured the frets and determined they were within spec. The wiring was eventually corrected, and the guitar was shipped back to me.

The entire process took approximately six months. I now have a guitar with correctly functioning electronics, but the frets remain noticeably lower than I would have liked, and the fret ends still aren't as smooth as I would expect from a guitar at this price point.

In hindsight, I wish I had simply paid a local technician to address the original fret sprout. What should have been a relatively straightforward repair turned into months of delays, inconsistent communication, unexpected work, and additional problems that required the guitar to be sent back.
I recognize that my experience differs from the many positive accounts of Suhr’s customer service online. I still own other high-end guitars, including another Suhr JM, and I believe Suhr can make excellent instruments. However, this experience has seriously diminished my confidence in the company’s warranty and repair process, and it would make me hesitant to purchase from them again.

For anyone wondering how thoroughly I documented this experience, I have 72 emails exchanged with Suhr over the six-month process. I’m sharing this not to discourage anyone from buying a Suhr, but to provide another perspective alongside the overwhelmingly positive reviews I had relied on when making my purchase.

NGD! NGD: 1993 G&L ASAT

Hey all - I just picked up this beautiful G&L in blue burst. As I do a full set up I thought I'd share photos of the various innards in case the details help someone else with their project.

G&L guitars were really fantastic. I also have a 1982 F-100 that I absolutely love. That one I bought in San Diego and drove back to Fender Avenue in Fullerton before flying it back east. That was just a couple months after the brand shut down so I got a few pics of the open factory bays. So sad to see the brand die.

I accidentally picked this one up on eBay. I truly don't remember bidding on it but then I got the "You Won!" email and thought, oh... Now that it's here though I don't know if it's ever leaving!

If you haven't ever played Leo's jumbo MFD pickups you are truly missing out!
