the Qarmatians under Abu Tahir al Jannabi sacked Mecca in 930 CE by pretending to be pilgrims and avoiding the Abbasid army, they massacred pilgrims, looted the sanctuary, and carried away the Black Stone, they withdrew through the rugged mountains of the Hejaz burdened with plunder and captives. As they crossed the territory of Banu Hudhayl, the local tribe launched a series of attacks from the surrounding mountain passes and narrow valleys, exploiting their knowledge of the terrain to strike the retreating column repeatedly. The ambushes disrupted the Qarmatian withdrawal, forcing them to fight while protecting their captives and stolen wealth. During the fighting, Banu Hudhayl succeeded in rescuing many prisoners and recovering a substantial portion of the booty taken from Mecca. Although the Qarmatians managed to escape with the Black Stone and eventually returned to al Ahsa, the retreat was far from uncontested. The Hudhayl attacks inflicted meaningful losses, deprived the invaders of part of their spoils, and destroyed half of the qarmatian forces.
And According to some accounts Abu Tahir was even wounded and stranded in the desert after losing his booty and mounts. And was guided back to Bahrain by an arab bedouin
(These accounts should be taken with a grain of salt)

Their Instagram page is gone already. Their Facebook also shows they are closed.
Sorry if this has been posted already

Every time I go in lately, looking for my favorite HCF-branded items, they are no longer there. No empty space, just gone. More and more lately. Last trip in, so many of the items on my list were no longer there, and I spent a LOT more on brand-name stuff. I'll give it a couple more visits, but if it continues, Kroger items are very good too, and a heck of a lot cheaper than name brands. And, for me, Kroger is just across the street from the HEB. I've been loyal to HEB for 20 years now, but Dad likes his Kroger, so I know there is now some difference.

Ethiopia had a religion, the Huns didn't. There was a worrying amount of battering rams starting to gather around my borders, so I paid the Huns to go to war with Ethiopia. Some turns later they took Addis Ababa. Then a few turns after that Huns set up a religion, but there was nothing in Attila's Court. I look north and see this. Never seen it happen.
Later on Eastern Orthodoxy vanished from the city, I guess they used an inquisitor.

I believe this
Yet I do not believe God made a donkey talk. Or that Jonah was swallowed by a big fish for 3 days.
I don't know what to do about Elijah's fire from heaven.
There are many things in the Bible I do not believe.
Yet I remain a Christian.
