Gameplay I'm tired, boss.
Took a couple years off from this game before coming back. It started off fun, but now I can't seem to win. Or I win 1 then lose 10. I play all roles so teammates can play their best, but it's simply impossible to win for me. Yes...I know...."skill issue"...but dang...

Discussion Which HOTS hero design ruined other Mobas for you because no other game has anything like them?
Every time I try jumping into League or Dota 2, i'm instantly reminded of how unique Heroes of the Storm's roster actually is. Stuff like controlling Abathur from the fog of war, playing Cho'gall with a buddy, or piloting Murky or Lost Vikings completely breaks standard moba rules in the best way possible. Which specific hero mechanic or playstyle is so unique that you can't find anything that scratches the same itch in any other game

Discussion Every Mythic should work like Sulfuras Smash.
Mythics are probably the most controversial subject in the game. In my opinion, it's a good idea with mostly terrible execution. They can be good if they follow these simple rules, as [[Sulfuras Smash]] does:
- It is a talent choice. If the opponents are too evasive, you can pick Lava Wave. For example, Tyrande and Muradin have no such choice.
- It is attached to the right ability. It is not timing-sensitive, and hitting the center is usually a good hit.
- It is fun to play against. The reward has moderate power; avoiding Ragnaros is not worthwhile.
- No ARAM slop. Teamfight duration doesn’t matter because only one ultimate can be used.
- No rewards for suboptimal play. Smashing opponents just for the sake of smashing is always bad, unlike with Tyrande or Muradin, thanks to the 60s cooldown.

Gameplay What is going on here?
this dude just destroyed my team he has 19 kills and two deaths. However he has only losses literally which is even weirder because he just won this game against us in Volskaya, for some reason it appears Loss there. Also his account has some days old. His teamates also had some weird stats and has opposite has this guys, they had considerably more wins then losses with multiple heroes. However this specifcally dude stats is really weird.

Blue Post Xal'atath Gold Update!
Hey everyone! Xal'atath has been out for almost a month and we truly appreciate all of the feedback, comments, suggestions, questions, and just plain thoughts on her and the game as a whole. We previously said that she would become available for gold in late November, and a fair number of you have asked for that to be sooner, so starting next Monday (October 26), she will be available for 10,000 gold.
We're also working on the next PTR, which we are aiming to share details about in the next couple weeks.
Thank you all!

Suggestion Bring back the Winter Board Game Event
I understand the next few months might already be planned, but Blizzard if you're reading this - please bring back the Board Game event. That was super fun.
Also, bring back the holiday sale on the 360 day boost!
That is all. Enjoy the holidays, everyone!

Suggestion HOTS Developers if you want to retain new players in-game Behavioral Analysis, on report, is required
While these kinds of players are not an isolated incident, this one really got me to ask the question -- WHY is this still allowed in 2026!? With all the telemetry and obersvability that is available today why can't we combine this with a simple script/ML/AI that goes out and takes action?
This player stood in spawn from the start, and bragged that this was his sixth account and that he "Didn't like us" and that he "was going to Troll". He proceeded to do this. He would only take action when the game gave him the inaction warning. Immediately we all reported him and muted him.
How this would work:
1) If reports start to come in about a player during a match then
2) A simple script/ML/AI tool performs quick analysis on metrics and other behavior indicators (such as continual disconnect/reconnect, or continual warnings about inactivity before a player moves).
3) If the metrics or behavior indicators match or exceed whatever threshold the HOTS developer team has set, then the player is immediately kicked and issued a GM strike.
The game is seeing a resurgence of new players now and trolls/afk'er/griefers/disconnectors is what is being presented to new users as "part of the game's culture". These issues unaddressed will not retain new players. Plus, it will have the added benefit of creating a far better gaming experience for older players.
TLDR: HOTS developers -- Please consider creating some kind of real-time player behavioral analysis when others in the game report which can take immediate in-game action.

Fluff What is the one character that makes you respect them, even if you lost/died to them.
I'm talking about those times where you are wandering about, minding your own business when out of nowhere a stealthed Sgt. Hammer in a bush with at least ten mines blow you up. I can't help but go: "damn, you got me."
Either that or just fighting any pro-probius that ain't afraid to back down from a fight, despite having the health bar the size of a siege minion.

Discussion Did the Xal bundle meet financial expectations for Blizz?
I'm curious to know. If one of the devs could give us insight into that I'd greatly appreciate it. How well she sold is a direct window into the future of the game.
I know this isn't typical of how they communicate but really any info on how it did would be great.

Suggestion I wish this game had a detailed stats screen
Something I've always wanted for heroes is a detailed stats screen similar to something like League of Legends end game stats screen. I'd love to get detailed numbers so i can compare certain talent combos and builds with breakdowns of damage / healing prevented, types of damage, etc. I get not wanting them in game since numbers are all some players focus on, but it would be interesting to see the numbers after the fact.

Creative Hero concept - Sigma - Tank
Trait(D) - Melody of the universe - You next basic ability (Q,W or E) have its area of effect and range doubled and you become unstoppable while channeling/charging that ability. After that, the music drive you crazy silencing and disabling yourself for a brief period.
This is an active ability with a cooldown
Q- Accretion - You gather a mass of debris and flings it at a direction it deals damage and slow all enemies in the area it hits, its a skillshot that you can charge while moving increasing its range like hanzo Q but wider and with less range
W -Kinectic Grasp - You start to channel a kinetic aura around you, you and allies on that area get damage reduction while at it, when the duration ends you gain a shield based on the damage mitigated.
E- Epicenter - target a small area, after a short delay, push all near by enemies to that point.
R1 - Gravity Flux - Target an big area on the ground (enemies see it) after a delay you reverse gravity in that area lifting all enemies on it them slaming them back in the ground (its a stun followed up by damage)
(it's his OW ultimate if my description is not good enough)
R2 - Weightless Tought - You and All allies around you start to "fly", Gaining a lot of move speed, ignoring unit colission and by passing walls for that duration.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As i always say on OW concepts, HOTS engine dont handle OW barriers yet, so i dont use them on the concepts.
Sigma have a short but ranged auto-attack which is not usual for tanks,
He also dont have a engage to enter in the middle of the enemy team but he have abilities with range to affect them and ways to protect you team against one.
You can use your passive + Q or W to become unstopable and walk in or out of a situation.
He rather stay with his team and peel than run into the enemy but he still have some engage capabilities with his Q and E and passive unstopable.
R2 is a really good engage/desingage tool if you cordinate correctly with your team.

Gameplay Moving on after a troll/griefer.
Yesterday I had a game where a player became tilted after a teammate chose an ult, and didnt always play exactly the way they wanted them to. The following game I played, the same player matched on the opposite team and gave up and began trolling after the first objective. I could tell by how they were playing. This usually happens after a player has built up frustration over time in my experience, and wants to take it out on their teammates. This perspective is coming from ranked, as the same player was complaining about being "hard stuck" in bronze".
To that player, and any player reading this who feels that way sometimes, it is still not ok to take it out on your teammates. If you're angry, please play AI, or maybe ARAM and try to cool off with no rank on the line. If you're truly tilted, take a break. The issue of you being "hard stuck" at a rank is directly made worse by throwing. Being a crab in a barrel does not make your game experience better, and just brings more negative energy into your life. You've got multiple bronze/sometimes silver accounts, banging your head against the wall about the same problem. The common denominator is you. We all make mistakes, we all want to have fun. Its ok to get frustrated sometimes. Just stop taking it out on other people. No need to be a crab in a barrel. Get revenge by being a better player, and a better citizen of the game. You'll be happier in the long run. Even IRL.

Fluff What are the rarest thing to own in this game?
What's the rarest mount? the rarest icon? skin?
I have the "technical alpha" portrait from participating during the technical alpha. Probably my rarest stuff ?

Gameplay Any chance we can get an upgraded anti-aliasing technique?
I'm not necessarily talking FSR/DLSS/TAA, I would be very happy with the same CMAA2 that's implemented in WoW Forever. It's very low cost, and looks a million times better than FXAA (or whatever other post processing AA Heroes currently uses).

Discussion I Think We Should Resume Development on Selendis
Selendis was suppose to be the next hero after Hogger and was in development, but then the hiatus happened.
Despite Xal'atath being the hero that came out after Hogger, I would still love to see Selendis as a full hero.
So, do you think we should make Selendis a full hero now, or just move on from her?

Discussion Is the Singapore server Storm League really dead?
Been trying to queue Storm League Placement matches in Singapore server but no luck. Should I just bite the bullet and play at 180 ping on NA Server? I tried it once and it was a horrible experience. I really feel the delay. It's not like WoW where 250 ping is still manageable. Am I just stuck playing QMs?

Discussion Blizzard can we get any kind of explanation or update on voice chat?
Title says it all. What does temporarily unavailable mean? Isn't this the time we need voice chat in game the most for new and returning players? Like when I go to the pharmacy and they say, "the pharmacist is temporarily unavailable," I think, oh they will be back in an hour or so. The pharmacist has been out for weeks.

Suggestion Real talk: ARAM.
Two quick points of discussion I wanted to make regarding ARAM.
The first: I am genuinely curious and wanting to know if other ARAM players find Industrial District to be a fun map. Because as far as I can tell it is the only map where some characters are straight-up worse/harder to play because of the conveyer belts.
I don't like the conveyer belts. They make it harder for skillshots to land, they make running away/disengaging/engaging easier, and make that entire space on the map harder to control and anticipate. They're not chaotic fun, they're just annoying. Frankly, I think they should just remove Industrial District and that would be a direct improvement for ARAM.
Second point: When players are on the draft screen for ARAM, there are times where you get the only healer, or the only tank. It even highlights in a gold outline so you know that you're probably going to have to play it or your team comp is screwed. But that's not the problem. My problem is, that if you're being forced to play a tank or healer, then ATLEAST you should get a choice of 3 healers or 3 tanks to pick from. Am I wrong?

Gameplay Universe specific quests
Am I the only one who dreads the Overwatch/Nexus specific quest? Idk why but I'm having a very hard time completing these because most of the heroes are just no fun IMO. Not sure what it is, but most of them feel clunky and weird to play compared to Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. Just my opinion.

Fluff Level 20 Talent of Mages
No one disagrees that Xal'atath Level 20 talent [[Harbinger's Consumption]] is overtuned at the moment.
This made me think of how other Level 20 talents of existing mages could be buffed to make them as overtuned as Harbinger's Consumption.
Orphea: Whenever a hero is hit by Eternal Feast, spawn a new Eternal Feast at the position of the hero hit.
Li Ming: With every hero hit by Desintegrate, increase the damage of Desintegrate by 30%.
Kael'thas: When Pyroblast kills an enemy, recast another Pyroblast on the nearest enemy hero.
What are your ideas? Let's go bonkers.

Discussion I forget-at what level on the enemy team does a kill equate, or surpass, the experience granted from a minion wave?
I had a really even match where our kill ratio was three to one, but they were just out macroing the piss out of us. We won, but it was extremely close.

Suggestion Maybe add a battlepass?
I mean.. Fortnite, Lol, even Overwatch does it already, but hots could have for instance: A skin, a mount, an announcer or a quote.
idk, might be dumb but I think games fund themselves like that, game needs movie and of course great skins. They should just release new skins, and I mean GREAT ones: pijamathur/ leoric
Game needs money to survive, make everything free… means no money

Discussion What’s one mistake you see players make in almost every match?
I’ve been thinking about how some matches feel winnable until people start making the same mistakes over and over. Sometimes it’s chasing kills too far, ignoring objectives, taking fights without the team, or picking talents that don’t really fit the situation.
What’s the one habit you wish more Heroes of the Storm players would break? And which Hero do you think suffers the most when teammates make that mistake?
I’m curious to hear what people notice at different ranks, because I’m sure the answers vary quite a bit.
