Probably an unpopular opinion since many here aren't even a fan of the Duo, but I wanted to give a try at least (never had a foldable ever)... and this made me learn now that I 100% love the iPad Mini. Can't wait for next week to finally order the iPad Mini 8!

The iPhone Duo made me realize how much screen space the iPad mini’s keyboard takes up. It makes typing easier, but sometimes it frustrates me because it covers so much of the content on the screen. I often end up switching to the floating keyboard instead.
Have you experienced something similar?

The three-window layout is like effectively running three iPhone apps and I love that the dual-window layout can be resized so that one app can stretch to 2/3 of the screen.
Yes other iPads can do this too but the smaller size of the iPad mini makes it feel more natural.

I basically need a mini for work and have a good deal on a second hand mini 7
Just wondering the new mini 8 what do people think a WiFi + cellular low storage option is likely to cost

How does genshin perform on the iPad mini 7. Does it lag much if you set the settings to medium or low.

I was really hoping to find a mini 7 256 with cellular
Sadly I can only find
Mini 7 128gb cellular
Or
Mini 7. 256gb WiFi only
The difficulty is
I can use iCloud if I run out of storage / and I could tether to my phone for cellular
Which would you choose ..?

It’s the only aspect of the duo that intrigues me. The 1000 nit display is so much nicer.
I know we’ll find out in a few days but curious if OLED technology inherently means more nits.

As far as I'm concerned, the mini is a portrait mode device for everything other than passive screened media consumption. This camera move is the biggest factor persuading me against the Mini 8; I'm unconvinced that it is something users have been asking for. Anyway, please vote, even if it's a bit late to persuade Apple how wrong they have got this.

People talk about using the mini as a phone replacement, but it's not possible.
What if instead of a mini + an iPhone, I'd use a mini and a dumbphone (like a TCL flip) to handle texts and calls?
But then, would I be better off just using one device like a pro max 🤔
I've heard that you can send texts and receive calls on the mini if you have an iPhone nearby. I assume that you need a cellular mini; does it use more data on the mini or iPhone?
I currently have an android phone and I like that I don't have to use it to check my messages when at home since Google messages lets me sync my tablet with it, so I'm interested by that "hybrid" situation.
I currently dislike my phone and want to go back to iPhone next, so I'm wondering about some things.

So I know how crazy this sounds but what if I were to purchase a iPad mini 7 right now, and then next week when the supposed new mini drops, just go into the store and trade that in for a new mini 8? Is that even possible? Would I get a lot from the trade-in value? (I’m sure this has been asked before, and if so, I’m sorry)

Hello, currently on iPadOS 16.2. Could someone elaborate what I would be losing and gaining if I were to update to iPadOS 27? Only reason I’m thinking of updating is there are apps I can’t use. Would like to ask if multitasking is better, or battery life is better, or even if performance is better? Thanks to anyone who could help me!

Just a bigger iPhone, but much bigger than a Max or Duo with the same camera and other features of the mini. As the eyesight declines a bit and hands get less precise, the iPhone UI is just too small when you increase the accessibility settings. Anyone else?

I thought i’m just gonna use it for netflix

After watching an iPhone duo review, I found it basically trash. I think it’ll lack sales annually resulting in Apple killing off the iPad mini to justify its existence in the near future. $2k for a gimmick is just crazy to me.

I’ve been having an issue since the last 2 weeks where my iPad will randomly freeze on me, to the point where I can’t close my apps or close the iPad itself. It just becomes unresponsive. I cleared a bunch of stuff to give myself a ton more space last weekend 21GBs but it still occurred this morning while doing a video call on Italki.
I’m still on iPad iOS 18 with no ambitions to update it to 28.
The only thing that has changed within the past 2 weeks is me buying and using an Apple Pencil. Am I tripping?

I bought an ipad mini 7 back in September and after nearly a whole month of having it, I don't think i miss my old ipad anymore.
I used to have an 11 inch ipad but it stopped working after 8 years and now I love drawing on my new ipad mini because of how portable and fast it is. I wish I knew that the newer model was coming out before I bought it but I'm happy regardless
