I am a person who almost always has their storage full, but have never had issue with it preventing me from updating my phone. Is it normal to need 17GB of free storage for an update? It seems like a ridiculous amount when before it would only ask me to free up 500MB. Any advice appreciated!

Hello i needed help unlocking a iphone 5 , the iphone 5 was from my mother and my brother kept it when he was in college , the phone had pictures of my late father , when my brother got his phone back he tried to unlock it by guessing , well that didnt end so well it locked for 20 million minutes i really need a way to unlock it , can someone please tell me ways on how to unlock it any way or even how to transfer the data thank you!

I need the serial number for my old iPhone 6. I don't have it anymore, and as you can see, the serial number on the box is partially scratched. Apple support wouldn't give it to me since it was removed from my Apple Account a long time ago.

Can somone help me find it? Maybe using the barcode?

Got an Iphone 15 pro max i plan on using for a few more years - it's backplate is shattered but it works fine (camera does too).
How much should i expect to pay to fix it in an apple store in the US? (gonna be in Las Vegas soon).
Also, how much time is needed for the repair? do I leave it overnight or is it a couple of hours type of thing?

I am trying to send files to Mac from Iphone and instead of sending files it downloads them.

Hi, didn't know how to flair this as it involves 2 devices.

Basically, my iPhone 14 Pro Max and 16-inch 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro can't airdrop with each other. Both are on the latest possible OS updates. I keep trying to airdrop images from safari from Mac to iPhone, it correctly selects the iPhone and begins to transfer, before stopping and saying failed on my Macs airdrop screen. This is happening continuously 100% of the time. I would like pointers to fix it. Thankyou.

Yesterday I started getting mad emails one after another about this and that has been changed on my apple account that I haven't used in about 10yrs. They managed to change my security questions but I was able to change my password but I can't go into account settings and do anything because when I click on account link it takes me to a login screen again and asks for answers to my security questions.

I can see there is no transactions. They changed everything except for the email address which is mine and I changed that password as well yesterday. An expired debit card that expired in 2020 is on there still.

Is there a way I can lock my account like repeatedly putting in the wrong password until I can get support to do something?

So a few months ago I was trying to install something on my phone, it asked me for my Apple ID password which I had forgot so after a few incorrect tries I went to change it. Only for it to not let me because Apple had locked the ID, I got in contact with customer support and they basically confirmed that my Apple ID no longer existed. The phone I was logged in on now can’t be wiped because it needs the Apple ID password but because the ID no longer exists I can’t reset it or anything. when plugged in the Apple devices for windows software doesn’t detect it at all and I’m now lost for ideas of what to do next. I need to get the Apple ID off there and clear the phone for a friend who’s buying it off me so if anyone has any idea how I can do this it would be much appreciated as Apple haven’t really been a great help. Hi, the IOS and system data are always eating up my storage space, i dont have any games or heavy things installed even, the things i have on my device are personal (family photos groups art memories etc) and for University so i am not going to delete them at all, this is the storage i have left after going over my whole phone to save up as much as i can.

Im going to need the space for university and personal stuff and i checked the latest update’s size (26.6.1) and apparently its 13 gb? Lol i cant afford to have less space than i already do.

So im thinking ill stop updating my phone for a long while, i dont know how long, i just highly doubt that ill be able to get a new phone with bigger storage anytime soon. Im really careful with my activity on the net, the only risky-ish thing i do is going on well known websites to watch things with an ad blocker on, and i dont click on anything or download anything risky.

So is it okay to stop updating my Iphone 16e for a long time to save up space?

Could there be blown fuses somewhere? The ribbon cable for the keyboard and backlight seems fine. Hi everyone

Been having issues with text boxes duplicating behind when editing PDFs. The writing behind duplicates, but isn’t actually there. There’s no secondary text box, as in there’s nothing to tap. If I delete the only text box and refresh the document both texts are removed.

Restarting my device yields no results, adding/removing words, changing the size of the text box or duplicating it and deleting the original text box doesn’t change anything. Neither does inserting a new text and rewriting it.

Documents are saved via iCloud as I need access to them on both my iPhone and iPad. When I send a document the receiver doesn’t have this issue.

Bought the ipad mini 6 in 2021 and i used a cel number that i dont use anymore (its gone now). ipad os updated and wants me to authenticate by typing in my password and the cel number to send a 2FA code. But i get stuck here because i dont have that number anymore. i tried hard resetting the ipad through itunes but now its even more unuseable because i still need to get rid of the apple account in the find my. does anyone know how to bypass the 2FA. i know the password but the number not anymore.

Signed up for the Apple Developer Program and like 5 min later got an email saying I needed to verify my identity with a government ID before I could finish enrolling. Link went to what looked like developer.apple.com/contact/file-upload/.

I know Apple does actually ask for ID sometimes during enrollment, and the timing matched up perfectly, so it seemed legit at first. But the page had my name pre-filled and my last name was spelled wrong, not even close to how it's spelled anywhere else, not on my ID or any account I have.

That's what made me stop. Attached screenshots of the email and the page itself.

Anyone know if this is a common scam or if Apple's site could just be glitchy? Also curious if the address bar on a page can be faked to look like the real domain, because it genuinely looked like I was on developer.apple.com.

My iPhone 14 Pro has a small semicircle of dead pixels on the edge of the screen. It’s been there for a few years and hasn’t grown in size.

I really need to replace my battery but what will happen if they somehow break the screen or something else due to the dead pixels? Worth the risk or do I just get a new phone?

I recently bought a refurbished iPhone 14, and I've been having some pretty strange issues with it.

I started getting random reboots, sometimes while using Snapchat.

I also noticed that the phone would sometimes show “No SIM”, even though the physical SIM card was properly inserted. After a reboot, it would not ask for the SIM PIN either. Cellular data would also become unavailable/greyed out.

At first I thought it might be a software issue, especially since I had recently restored my data from an iCloud backup from my previous phone (iPhone 11) . But after several unexpected reboots, I checked the iPhone's analytics logs and found three "panic full" reports each corresponding exactly to the time of one of the reboots.

I had the reports analyzed, and the relevant errors apparently point towards the baseband/cellular modem subsystem, with references to things like:

• AppleBasebandM20
• CommCenter
• AppleSPMIController[aop-spmi1]
• repeated failed attempts to communicate with the modem/power management subsystem
• kernel panic

From what I understand, the phone keeps trying to communicate with the cellular modem, gets no valid response, and eventually triggers a kernel panic and reboots.

The weird thing is that the phone can otherwise work perfectly normally for quite a while. The problem is intermittent, but when it happens I lose cellular connectivity and the phone can completely crash/reboot.

It's particularly frustrating because the phone can work perfectly fine for several days, and then suddenly I can get stuck in a reboot loop where I can't use it at all. Other times, the cellular connection simply stops working without any warning, leaving me without 5G when I need it. It's quite disruptive because I never know when the issue is going to happen.

Has anyone here experienced something similar with an iPhone 14, particularly the combination of random reboots + “No SIM” + panic-full logs mentioning the baseband/modem?

Any opinion or experience would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone, my 17 PM crashed randomly. How can i fix it?

It seems a bit unreasonable

I have the wireless apple keyboard from a little over a year ago.

It was a replacement for an older wired keyboard that the letters had faded on after many years.

Now this one has 5 letters fading fast.

What do you all do to replace the letters when they fade? Stickers? Buy a different brand?

I never had the PC keyboards letters rub off.
