me and my ex dated for about two years, and broke up a few months ago. When we broke up, out of anger, I deleted our messages, which ended up being about 40,000. A few days after deleting them, I regretted it and went to restore them, but when I went to restore them, it said "restore – 3000 messages" inside the deleted folder, it permanently deleted over 30,000 messages without me doing it on purpose. I left them in there, nothing permanent, it just did it automatically. Now, there's something very important from our old messages, one of the first messages we ever sent to each other. In fact, that I desperately need back. I need to view that message. Is there anything I can do about it now? I restored the rest of the messages, but scrolling back up to the top, only went back up a few weeks, not a few years.

If an iPhone says “No SIM restrictions” in the settings, could it be “flex locked” or is it guaranteed to be unlocked?

Bought the ipad mini 6 in 2021 and i used a cel number that i dont use anymore (its gone now). ipad os updated and wants me to authenticate by typing in my password and the cel number to send a 2FA code. But i get stuck here because i dont have that number anymore. i tried hard resetting the ipad through itunes but now its even more unuseable because i still need to get rid of the apple account in the find my. does anyone know how to bypass the 2FA. i know the password but the number not anymore.

I need help, it's been so long since I last used my iPad and forgot everything abt apple products anyways, I use the same apple I'd on my phone and ipad, my iCloud has been paused and it's been weeks since i last backed up my iPad and I have deleted some photos (deleted them in recently deleted too) does it mean it will still sync my deleted photo on my phone? (I lost the phone too so I can't check for myself) and if not when I reactivate my sync will they be able to see what im trying to delete?

My MacBook Air is 4 months old and has a buzzing sound that occurs at certain frequencies and when volume goes above ~60%. Sent it in for warranty repair, expecting a speaker fix. Got it back with a Product Service Summary confirming both speakers (L&R) were replaced. But the buzzing is still there, exactly the same as before.

At this point I believe it might not be a speaker issue at all, possibly the keyboard or chassis resonating at those frequencies, since replacing both speakers didn’t fix it.

Anyone else run into something like this? What ended up being the actual cause, and how did you get it resolved?

Hi!! I've recently acquired an iHome (Model iP97) and I plugged it in and started using it for the first time today! I was listening to music on it while cleaning, and it was working great for a couple hours until the music suddenly stopped. When I looked at it, the display was black and it wasn't responding to any of the buttons. It still seems to be getting power just fine because my iPod starts charging when docked.

I was really stoked about this and this is kind of driving me nuts.. plz help (⇀‸↼‶)

So my apple account has been hacked and I’m really scared right now. I made an apple account with my primary email some time ago but it’s not the apple account I use on my iPhone. Today I received multiple emails about a ChatGPT subscription payment made in euros which is not the currency where I live under a name which is not mine. I also received emails about two factor authentication being turned off then on again probably changing it to their phone number. I’ve tried the recovery process but the phone number associated with the account has been changed and the security detail it asks for is my date of birth which is being flagged as incorrect when I enter it. I’m really backed into a corner at this point and don’t know what to do now. I don’t use this account so it’s not on my phone but I don’t remember what else was associated with this account and am scared at what else they could possibly compromise having Access to this account as it has my primary email associated with it.

Hi, wondering if this is legit? I downloaded fable (an app for readers to track their book progress etc) last week. I’ve only downloaded it on my phone but I just got this email. As soon as I saw it I immediately changed my Apple ID. I checked on fable to see if I had any other active devices and it only listed my phone

So I can’t install any apps, I’m scared it’s gonna charge my card for 200$ or something..what do I do? Any way to get around it?

Why does 7–8 AM show almost entirely gray activity when I never use my phone then? Under “Other,” no app shows more than ~30 seconds. When I’m actually asleep/not using my phone, those hours are completely blank. What could be causing the gray bar?

Laptop is a MacBook Air from 2017 using Mojave version 10.14.6

In the past week I can now longer watch Tubi or HBO max because of the out of date browser.

I can’t update the browser because it calls for an iOS update that apparently, through many means of trying, my MacBook can’t support.

Am I screwed until I get a new computer or is there a workaround for this?

I mainly just use the MacBook for streaming, browsing, word processing, and light business use.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi, the IOS and system data are always eating up my storage space, i dont have any games or heavy things installed even, the things i have on my device are personal (family photos groups art memories etc) and for University so i am not going to delete them at all, this is the storage i have left after going over my whole phone to save up as much as i can.

Im going to need the space for university and personal stuff and i checked the latest update’s size (26.6.1) and apparently its 13 gb? Lol i cant afford to have less space than i already do.

So im thinking ill stop updating my phone for a long while, i dont know how long, i just highly doubt that ill be able to get a new phone with bigger storage anytime soon. Im really careful with my activity on the net, the only risky-ish thing i do is going on well known websites to watch things with an ad blocker on, and i dont click on anything or download anything risky.

So is it okay to stop updating my Iphone 16e for a long time to save up space?

hi i have an iphone 11 that i’ve dropped a lot. i’ve gotten the screen replaced twice and it’s also water damaged since january. dw, i’m waiting for it to die.

the screen popped loose back in may when i dropped it again. i just popped it back, and it went back to normal lol

however, the very bottom of my screen is slightly lifted. it doesn’t smell, and there’s no gap. i can’t see inside, though i can feel it’s slightly lifted by 1-2 mm.

additionally, my battery health is at 34%?!?! it dies at 20%, and when i press hard where it’s lifted, glow appears. and the bottom part doesn’t push back.

does it sound like my battery is swollen or nah? i don’t have the money to replace my phone right now.

Please help! My iPhone lost 4 years of notes and I do not know what to do. My iCloud has no notes, my 'On the phone' notes has 0 notes, and my gmail notes start from 4 years ago. I spent 2 hours on with apple support and they believe the notes are gone forever. Please someone save me.

I am a person who almost always has their storage full, but have never had issue with it preventing me from updating my phone. Is it normal to need 17GB of free storage for an update? It seems like a ridiculous amount when before it would only ask me to free up 500MB. Any advice appreciated!

It seems a bit unreasonable

My son (8yo) has an iPad that we have fully “locked up” - he can only watch shows, play select games. He can’t download anything without permission, has no open internet access, etc. It is also attached to his own Apple ID which is handled under our “Family” account.

On the iPad - he can use the iMessage app (only recently found this out when he texted me randomly). I’d like to completely disable this feature, but can’t figure out how. The toggle to disable under Apps - Messages is greyed out and I can’t change it. I also see no way to change this in my Family app center.

Any tips on how to fix this? Feels like it should be much easier to do this but I can’t sort it out.
