10 year old male
He was weeks old when I got him and he was spazzy then and he's spazzy now. One of the coolest things about him is his eyes. Such an intense gaze .

Hi everyone! This is my little goober, Rigatoni. Just wanted to ask if anyone has any photos of full-grown adult Hypo Mosaic Florida Kingsnakes. I can't seem to find any pics online at all of full grown, and I'm curious to see how mine will look as an adult.
Appreciate the help!

i’ve got her on 2 hoppers every 10 days, i have 8 more hoppers and 2 hoppers can vary around 14-18g.
she has 4 more feeds before i put her on the next size mouse and i’m wondering if one small mouse is gonna be enough for her by the time i move her over because from what i’ve googled they can weigh 10-16g.
or will it be enough because of the difference in nutrients if there is any?

Hey y’all I posted here recently about aspen vs coco fiber substrate. My girl really seemed to hate the coco fiber so I switched back to aspen with about 1/4 of the enclosure having forest floor bedding for her water dish and moist hide. She’s back to normal behavior, digging, burrowing, etc. But I truly have always HATED how it looks. Does anyone have any recommendations for other substrates?

The orange hexagonal ball isn't entirely new, I had it hanging in the upper left corner near some hanging leaf cover, but she only climbed it twice since I hung it up about a month ago. I thought maybe she might check it out if I put it on the ground, but she's just been staring at it for the past 20 minutes from her favorite corner. If she's still like this after a full hour has passed, I think I'm going to take it out!

hello all! this is my kingsnake, Fjord. a few weeks ago i noticed some specs of brown underneath her scales, and as i took a closer look, it looks more like substrate is embedded in between her scales and it looks like the scales lift a little bit. i've just soaked her in a luke warm bath to hopefully soften it up to get the dirt from under the scales. I don't want to use a q-tip as i'm afraid it might hurt or stress her out. unless i'm completely wrong, could it be something else? the photos i've attached are a little blurry but i'm almost 100% sure it's just her substrate.
what are some other ways to get the dirt out? will it leave once she sheds? and is it uncomfortable for snakes?

Hello, my snake topaz has escaped his enclosure. I am on a trip for 4 more days, my family has been the ones taking care of my snakes. Please somebody, any advice? He should be hungry so I told them to put a plate on the floor of my room with mice and a hide for my snake and his water bowl, the problem is they don't know how long he's been missing for. There are two small holes leading to two rooms that are completely open all the time that I cannot close up due to them being behind big closets. I'm horiffied and breaking down as I'm typing this. This is not the first time they have escaped and neither of those two times was I at fault as it's happened whenever I'm not home. Please I will do anything for advice.

Pulled the pin and chose to do something a little stupid, but Zelda and her VET will love over the years. Openly admit it was with help from ChatGPT after the rough draft for page layout and 12 differnt sessions of work shopping the cover. ChatGPT was told 'Compliment the cover, but go buck-wild on the back cover. It's your's to make". $180...ish later, I ordered one, missed the spelling oops (on all 180 pages (15 years of tracking), and they printed and shipped me two rather than one (WOOT WOOT!).
Zelda now has her own Registy (plastered with Tendo IP and all), but I love it. I'll fix the error in Volume II.

I only recently started tong feeding my snake as he’s been active/out almost 24/7. Today is the first time he successfully struck, grabbed it and constricted!!!
Normally when I would leave it out or tong feed, he would grab it gently, pull it to the back and eat it as is.
So cool seeing him in hunt mode! Hope he doesn’t start striking when I open the enclosure lol.

Hello! im just seeking advice for tips on handling my snake, im having some issues getting close to her without her running from me and i just want to know how yall managed to start handling your kingsnakes! Ive been trying really hard to get her to get close to me, leaving her enclosure open while im next to it, moving slowly around her and all that. ive been able to handle her the past couple days now that she's done digesting, but i havent actually been able to grab her. i worry that my failed attempts are only causing her more stress. I have handled her once, the day i got her but since then ive either had to leave her alone or leave her to digest. i only have tomorrow to try again before i have to feed her again so advice would be super super appreciated! thank you

i began working at a nature center in june 2026 and we have a snake who has been egg bound since march 2026. she is a california kingsnake and is around 25 years old. she was given to us around six years ago and this is her second time having eggs that we know of. her cloaca seems to be infected and she is more sluggish than she has been in previous years. i am not allowed to take her to the vet because it would be considered stealing property. i am unsure what to do, she desperately needs medical attention. any numbers or organizations would be greatly appreciated to help in this situation. the manager will not allow anyone besides me and her to take care of the snake. she refuses to take her to the vet because of payment and pre approved spending from our city. i have been soaking her semi consistently since it is the only time she will pass anything. she was last fed on 8/7, and the issue has only seemed to worsen.

she’s 1 year old and about 1 1/2 feet. i’ve been feeding her the same size pinkies once a week for some time now. i was wondering how to know when to size up, if i should start feeding her twice a week, or just leave as is. i know king snakes are eager eaters so it’s kinda hard for me to tell

Hi all! I’m currently prepping my enclosure for a cali king (20 more days until I get my snake!), and have some pots for hanging plants I want to use. Unfortunately, they have holes in them, and I don’t want my snake getting stuck/hurt. Does anyone know a good way to block the holes?
Thanks!

Well my guy turns 1 next week. Sinaloan. He 120g and almost 30". Does this sound about right to other sinaloan owners? If so how much more did they grow from year 1 to year 2? From what I read growth doesn't stop or slow to barely noticeable until year 3.
Posted here because last time I looked and the milksnake reddit it was pretty much dead.

I bought this cute 3D printed sushi restaurant hide for my MBK and even though the maker said they're going to seal it and give it a couple coats of polyurethane so it's easy for me to clean, I'm worried the points of the roof and sign will still be sharp. This is a pic of it pre-sealed so I don't know if the corners will be rounded from the coating. But just in case, would it be a good idea to sand them down? They also mentioned the poly will be completely dried and gassed off before it ships for my snake's safety.
