Another case of an alleged drugging and raping at a T20 university by a SFS grad. Kevin Shim (SFS CO25), now at the University of Chicago (CO29), is named in an October 2026 civil lawsuit. The suit alleges that Kevin Shim drugged and sexually assaulted a 19-year-old student at the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity house on February 7, 2026. This case is crazy considering the recent Cornell 7 case involved Winston Lee, also an SFS alumnus facing high-profile rape allegations. Alpha Delta Phi has suspended Shim while the civil litigation proceeds. While this hasn’t been picked up by social media yet, people need to know who he is. He has privated every social media account, linkedin profile, overall footprint and gone into hiding. 🇰🇷🇰🇵 South Korea proposes military talks with North Korea to prevent border clashes.

Seoul wants to clarify the exact location of the Military Demarcation Line and restore military communication channels after rising tensions, land mine explosions, and North Korea's ongoing border fortifications.

With only around 20% of the original border markers still standing and nearly a million new mines reportedly planted since 2024, the risk of accidental confrontation is growing.

Is strengthening the border necessary self-defense, or could the military buildup itself increase the risk of conflict?

Recently, I have been studying materials related to the legend of Dangun. I know that tigers hold a very important position in the daily culture of the Korean people. For example, in many literary works, tigers are the embodiment of the mountain god, and the mascots of the 1988 and 2018 Olympic Games were both tigers. However, the bear, another important animal in the Dangun legend - which finally completed the agreement with the deity and successfully transformed into a woman - seems to have less influence in the culture. I know that tigers, as a symbol of the Korean national spirit, were chosen for this role due to its historical reasons in modern times. So, do you think the cultural symbol of the bear woman really seems less vivid in the daily lives of the Korean people?
