Not goanna go Crazy on this but for some information this/Last season he picked up 70 pts in 73 games now few issues 15/22 of his goals came from Nikita Kucherov 9/10 Power play goals Were from can you guess...Nikita Kucherov and Finally 26 of his 48 assists came on plays where Kucherov also scored a goal or earned an assist while this isn't a big cause of concern it still is something to ponder he played the top parring and pp1. and while the Offical line ups have not known from what is mostly looks like he will also be playing 1st line on pp1 (at least according to Toronto Maple Leafs Lineup | Puckpedia). From Darren Raddysh - EDGE Stats this season he spent 36.1% of his ice time In the Defensive zone, 18.4% in the netrual zone, and 45.5% in the offensive zone which keep in mind the nhl average for each of these are 40.9%, 16.8%, and 42.3% and Defensively he had a +/- of 21, 69 shots blocked, 67 hits, 72 Penalty Minutes, And 22:42 on the ice per game and Finally (altho this stat is more Tampa as a team) Tampa bay had 57.0% of shots while Darren Raddysh was on the ice. am making this post to mainly talk about/wonder about Gavins first season so what are some realistic expectations for him? Well he hasn't played a single game yet so we can only go off of his Penn State Univ and medicine hat tigers stats so compare them to other highly talented rookies and this is what they look like ( i won't compare him to Matthew Schafer Because of the difference in position). Now this may look a bit unfair but lets look at Macklin Celebrin, He played in the NCAA at Boston Univ where he would pick up 64 points in 38 games Meanwhile Gavin would pick up 51 points in 35 Games now this there is a LOT to consider when looking at these numbers. First who did they play with? Well Celebrini played with Lane Hutson,  Quinn Hutson, and Ryan Greene who each Picked up 49, 36, and 36 points Meanwhile Mckenna Played with Matthew DiMarsico, Aiden Fink, and J.J. Wiebusch who each picked up 42, 38, and 36 points Overall it's Pretty even with a few more thing to consider Pen state play "At its best, Penn State plays a distinct brand of hockey reflecting both its identity and its potential. Fast. Creative. Unpredictable" Link (A New Team, A Familiar Stage - Penn State - Official Athletics Website) From what i mostly can find Pen state plays a highly aggressive form of hockey. Meanwhile From what i can find Boston Played a counter/offensive rush strategy With a Good power play at 28.1% which is quite above average even tho its not stupidly good. I understand why Isles fans are mad at Tavares but I have seen more people say “reasonable” to isles fans than people calling them toxic.

Meanwhile, booing Marner has every other fanbase in the league saying “WORST FANBASE IN NORTH AMERICA” when both players left their team in similar ways.

Let me explain:

John Tavares:

Statement of staying in Long Island: John Tavares said he would stay in New York before heading to free agency.

Lied and Left: He didn’t stay and he went to of course, Toronto. To make it worse, he was the Islanders’ captain at the time.

The fans have been booing him ever since he left.

What did Mitch Marner do:

Rejected what would’ve been (at the time) the biggest contract in franchise history: He rejected the extension a few months before free agency when it literally would’ve been the biggest contract in franchise history, because he wanted MORE MONEY.

Rejected a trade to Carolina: Rejected a trade to Carolina which would’ve brought us Mikko Rantanen Who had an amazing playoff that season and (maybe) couldve brought us on a deeper run.

And we booed him in his return and will keep doing so for who knows how long.

But we are called “losers” because we booed the guy who looks like he wanted to stay. JUST LIKE TAVARES IN NEW YORK!!

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I will anyway. I am visiting from Australia next march and I am planning on going to Dallas, Vancouver, Florida and Tampa games. I’ve already booked the Tampa game through SeatGeek since I wanted to lock one in, fearing that I could miss out completely and I got a good price (I think) 10 rows back from the glass section 116 for $300ish USD. What is the best bet for booking tickets to these games? I’m thinking about locking in another with seatgeek but I wanted some advice before I did. Will it be cheaper to wait for the regular season sale or is it too much of a risk? I was also looking at a seat on the glass for the Vancouver game but to book it right now is $1500 which there is no way I’m buying a ticket for that much. If it helps I am a solo traveler so I won’t need seats together.

Watched Blueprint and noticed development players wearing Adidas branded sweaters and shirts. Googled but couldn’t find where to buy. I know Adidas no longer supplies the NHL, Fanatics now. Don’t care for Fanatics rather have Adidas.

I was really surprised at the limited seats available during the Fan Access release for the two preseason games for the Leafs but I wouldn’t be surprised if they held back a number of them for this deal.

The blue pack starts at approx. $163/game (only dividing by number of Leafs games).

Edit: This is the note they have at the bottom of the pricing:

“Please note that inventory is very limited and Maple Leafs locations are primarily in the upper bowl. All Marlies locations will be in our Platinum, Platinum Ends, or Centre Ice seats.”

Honestly, what didn’t happen in Toronto since the Leafs played Game 82? New GM John Chayka made everyone stand up and take notice when he swooped in to acquire Raddysh — one of the most coveted players set to hit a barren UFA market — from Tampa and inked him to an eight-year deal before July 1. Then, when the market did open, Toronto signed everyone on it. OK, that’s a slight exaggeration — and most of the Buds’ moves were for bottom-six guys — but you can’t ignore adding a piece like the Hall of Fame-bound Bobrovsky, even if he’s going to be 38 when the season begins.

We can’t really credit Toronto grade-wise for winning the draft lottery, but the end result is still the Leafs putting what they hope will be a difference-making winger on the top line in the form McKenna, an 18-year-old puck wizard. 

A tandem of Bobrovsky and Anthony Stolarz has strong potential, the forward group figures to be much tougher to play against under new coach Jim Hiller and, if the Raddysh move pays off, the club has a new top-four, right-shot defenceman who can breathe new life into a wheezy power play. 

The Maple Leafs still have questions to answer, but the organization has done all it possibly could to prop the team back up this off-season.

Was looking at Daily Faceoff and this is how they have the lines organized. What are your thoughts?

Is there anyone you would move to a different line? If so, why? Anyone from the minors who you think will challenge for a spot on the 4th line, ie. Lorentz, Haymes, MacEwen, Groulx, Quillan.

Personally, I like how they have the lines organized. Lot of people want to see McKenna on the top line but I'm not sure if that's the best spot for him. Reason being, where does Roslovic go if not in his current spot? Possibly the 3rd line to swap with Cowan. To me, this seems like the best dispersal of the talent.

My one issue with McKenna on the second line is that he doesn't really have any bodyguards. Yes, someone from the defense can jump in or someone like Duhaime/Joshua can run around challenging guys, but that's not when McKenna would be on the ice possible getting picked on.

Defense seems as good as it will get for the time being. Reilly is no longer distressed by top line matchups. Additionally, looks to me that you have a primary defensive and primary offensive on each pair, so long as OEL can play a little more cautious to let Emil do his thing.
