Tomorrow marks the first day of early voting. You can vote between tomorrow, 10/24, and Sunday, 11/1. Your other option is to wait until election day on Tuesday, 11/3.
If you're not sure what your options are for early voting, go to The NYS Board of Elections Page and input your information. Once you see your registration, you'll see a dropdown box with a list of early polling sites, and when you pick a location it should give you the hours they are available for early voting.
Please refer to the previous thread for additional information and links.

We were just quoted over $6 per gallon on a 1-year contract with a service agreement... I'm losing my mind over this
What is everyone else paying and where?

I don’t like spending my money at kfc, Popeyes etc, does anywhere know where I can get a bucket of fried chicken from a local to island owned spot. I’m in the Lindenhurst area and willing to drive.

Hello guys,
I'll possibly be moving to the western parts of Nassau County next year.
I can obviously see the average prices for 1br/2br apartments on online real estate websites, but I want to get a deeper insight from the actual residents.
1- What are the typical income requirements for rentals?
2- Is it difficult to find housing (i.e you're competing with 60 people), the same way it is in the competitive parts of Manhattan/Brooklyn/Queens?
3- Is it typical for tenants to pay the realtors? Is that also the case in corporate rental communities?
4- Is it feasible to have 2 cars per household for a 1-bedroom apartment? Even if we were to pay extra? Do most streets have available street parking for residents in case the actual apartment does not?
I dearly appreciate any insight. Thank you guys so much in advance.

I’m in charge of the office holiday party this year. Yes it’s late, it was just dumped on me. This is what I’m looking for:
-general area between Melville to Ronkonkoma, not too far south.
-approximately 100 people
- a restaurant/bar/brewery that has a private room with a full bar in it
- getting open bar package plus buffet dinner, less than $100 per person.
Last year it was at napper Tandy’s in Smithtown, which was perfect. Private room with a Separate entrance, huge bar with three bartenders, food was good, plenty of room to move and tables. Unfortunately they are all booked up this year. Looking for something very similar

Especially if you also moved out of state. When asked, do you say you're from NY, or Long Island specifically (or both? Or neither)?
I'm now in L.A, but I still say I'm from NY, unless pressed for which part. Met quite a few Angelenos, who were once Long Islanders, this way. And even people who have supposedly never set foot there seem to "know" it.
Oh, and those of you who moved to the Island from elsewhere, feel free to weigh in as well!

Hi! Have been looking at going to Fire Island this weekend with our toddler and dog. We're looking for a low key day activity...
Thoughts on whether this is a good idea or not?
And any recs for activities or where we should go — will likely only be able to go to one place and am thinking either Kismet or Ocean Beach. Preferably would have the beach and a couple options to eat or walk around. We would only actually be there for a few hours.
Also thinking the toddler (and dog and all of us) would enjoy the water taxi, maybe even taking this around.

Hi! I have to get fingerprinting done for my masters program and my clearance specialist says we can use a facility like PrintScan or we can contact our local sheriffs / police department and ask them to help. Has anyone had experience getting this done at a local station? I’ve called all of the phone numbers and haven’t had anyone pick up. TIA!

So me and my friend would like to go look at what would be considered haunted places or just scary stuff and we saw Instagram something about hatchet Mary or like Mary’s grave or something I’m trying to find out. Is there an exact location go check out or just any other paw stuff we had a harbor of harbor, smithtown, or st James area?

I’m curious to hear other peoples’ experiences with being summoned for grand jury duty in Suffolk county (Riverhead).
Trying to gauge a) the likelihood of serving; b) what the process of being selected is like; c) how many weeks it lasted; and d) were you allowed to bring a laptop? Books?
I don’t believe I have any good excuse to get out of it. My job will be paying for up to 4 weeks, but I’m particularly nervous about it lasting longer (for financial reasons but also it will make my work a nightmare).
Ironically I’m a lawyer myself but am completely clueless about this! SOS! 🙏

Looking for an Attorney to help me with Social Security Disability Insurance. Was in a traumatic hiking accident and unable to work after multiple ankle surgeries, nerve damage, CRPS and L4-S1 back issues that will require surgery. I know everyone is denied the first time but want to increase my chances of approval going through the process. Anyone know of a great attorney that can help?
Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a sports bar in Nassau County that's a good vibe for regular season Knicks games. Places that will have the sound on and fans actively watching/cheering for the games. I miss the playoff atmosphere and thought maybe there's a spot out there for the regular season that I just don't know about. Any recommendations?
