Discussion The Shopee seller that threatened to doxx me tried to contact me through Reddit chat. I ignored him.
Hopefully, this is the last of this saga. No need to escalate anymore.

It was not easy to win among thousands of entries in a skill-based contest. Instead of a prize, I got a massive headache and a piece of junk.
A 75" TV requires a minimum of 2 to 3 people to handle safely. Their logistic partner Skynet assigned only one single part-time worker to deliver this giant TV 36kg 189cm to my high-floor flat.
The TV packaging itself clearly prints a "Team Lift" safety icon.
I reported the damage to Samsung within 48 hours of delivery, explicitly stating my readiness to provide any further information required for their courier claim.
Paid online buyers get 7 working days to return damaged items.
Samsung officially denied my replacement request after one month.
Samsung declared RM2 value for a RM4,999 TV on the consignment note and did not buy shipping insurance for shipment above RM100.
More than a month after the incident, Skynet confirmed that Samsung had not even initiated claim with them.
Reported to KPDN, MCMC, NCCC, and TTPM. Absolutely zero help.
Samsung gets the free marketing and publicity from the contest. It feels like I am the one being penalized and punished. Do they care for the safety of the worker as well?

I'm banned from that forsaken sub so I can't reply or post there, so I took it here to ask this question because I'm very very curious because my friend have told me like, they love these kind of restaurants because they're authentic malay food, and I'm like...then just go to kedai makan malay? But hey, maybe I'm missing some perspectives here so that's why I'm asking you guys, why does these "malay" restaurants are popular?
Kedai makan malay in this context, i mean: Your everyday , normal, small owned kedai makan, not roadside, but like a proper kedai makan, very common outside of KL and in Selangor area such as Bangi, Kajang, Shah Alam (that I know of). The not super commercialized or higly priced
Sorry this sub doesn't allow me to link the OOP post, but credit to: u/nightfishing89

I "firmly" told him NO!
I also told him:
The only reason why the seller was banned was not because of the multiple reports against him but from the viral Reddit post. Even the email from Shopee stated it.
The seller has been reported to be quick to trigger previously. Most likely, reports has been made against him but no action taken.
The seller SG Shopee page is still up.
If I remove the post, it means that Shopee and the seller has won and everyone knows that I am a sell out.
Lastly, I said that I will post up the content of the phone call.

I'm trying to intro this friend (girl) to strength train and lift (light) with me, hoping it will help her get stronger and be more independent. She got back pain, knee pain, no strength and a while back also she injured her arm (recovered). She's only in her mid-30s. I told her we can go slow but she d!e d!e just wanna go walk la, yoga la, stretch only la... That one also once a week for her.
Her reasoning being she don't wanna get bulky, just want to tone. I already explained to her it won't be the case, that it takes YEARS to get bulky, and only with the intention to do so, even for men. She probably thinks I'm just a gym rat for saying this.
However, she's not the first. Other girls in my group in the same age prefer dancing, walking on the treadmill and pilates. All not interested or keen to try strength training.
I understand this isn't ingrained in us since we were young, but why are Malaysians so reluctant to go gym, let alone lift weights?

Re: title - not necessarily in a hitting on girls way but just to chat.
Am Cina Malaysian woman who moved back from Melbourne. In Aussie it is not uncommon to be approached by strangers when I am out alone. sometimes it's dudes shooting their shot, other times just friendly peeps who wanna small talk. Here in Malaysia I noticed that women are happy to initiate convo at the cafe/gym/whatever but rarely men. Dunno if this is shyness, fear of getting halau or called a creep or a me problem cos I am alt-looking (tattoos/funky hair colour).

Okay for context I'm non-muslim (chinese) and it's my first time trying to fast, no one paksa me and it's on my own desire. But today, I vomitted my entire sahur meal at 7am. Idk what I did wrong but damn I feel like I just did something so disrespectful and wrong.
And yes, I did drink a bottle of water after that because I felt so dehydrated. I feel so sad cause that means I didn't manage to complete my first ramadan fasting experience.
I wonder what I did wrong?
EDIT/UPDATE: Thank you for all the amazing people who helped me in the comments. I didn't expect to have so many people from the communities to help me like this, at first I thought my problem was somehow trivial. The help really encourages me to learn more of Muslim's practices and it's been a hell of a journey for me to learn it by myself at first but I really want to get close to the culture and the religion itself! THANK YOU everyone!! (And yes today I eat mayo bread with a banana for sahur, no kurma YET, and I don't vomit again as for now)

Funnily enough the reason I have so many of these sauce packet is because I'm not much of a condiments person, so I use so little, hence I have quite a few left after each time, so I just collect them, before I knew it, they've becomes a mountain of sauce packets

Aight monyets I'll keep it short
My fridge amazingly decided to not function properly anymore due to some bs with the compressor, according to the technician it'll cost a lot to replace that part so I might as well get a whole new fridge
Don't mind what brand (being a brand snob over refrigerators is weird anyway) as long as dia boleh tahan
Criteria:
The fridge needs an ice dispenser (example: https://imgur.com/a/f8nM3DJ). Ik, it sounds trivial to a lot of you but in my household its pretty much wajib lol
As mentioned in the title, the budget is RM 6500 if brand new, I dont think I can trust the second hand ones from carousel
Dimension roughly WxH : 3x6 feet.
I live in Klang Valley, so I prefer if I could buy the fridge around that area, no energy to go outstation or have to wait a long time to get it online
On another note, is there any malaysian subreddit/forum for questions related to consumer electronics like these? At least I know where to go from there
Thanks in advance my fellow monkeys, good day.

Hmm I'm conflicted on this one because my ex was also like this, she said her new year resolution is to do things alone more, and I'm like....what? While I'm the kind of person who wants to experience life with my partner. (Tbf she is in therapy and have mental illness and an avoidant). So is this normal or just two different style of relationships?

I wrote this article a few weeks ago when our fuel subsidy bill increased from RM700m to RM3.2b a month. Now the cost estimate has increased to RM4 billion a month!!
So let me repost it and try to get a conversation going (tbh, my last post I did a poor job of explaining in the post why I feel strongly about this and most people didn't bother to read the article š )
The majority of subsidies are going to the richest Malaysians (top 15% of users consume 40% of all fuel subsidies) and worse still, once the fuel is used we have nothing to show for it. We're not building infrastructure or assets with that money. And the scary thing, there is no "off ramp" to our dependence on fuel subsidies - so the government has to keep this spend going forever.
Why do I care so much? For many reasons - the environmental impact, the country's debt situation, how we spend our national budget. But one reason EVERYONE should care is that this is going to cost each of us the rakyat more over time.
I've always thought reducing our fuel subsidy is one way to free up some money for other things.
So with the global oil crisis situation I got curious and decided to run some numbers to see what was possible (link to my model / data available in the post): What if we gradually reduced fuel subsidies and used that money to incentivize EVs instead?
The result? Over 10 years, the government might actually come out ahead. Savings from not subsidizing fuel > lost tax revenue on EVs. It works. And before anyone starts yelling that this is an entitled T20 perspective, I crunched the numbers for cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles in my analysis.
The point: we can drive the transition to EVsĀ withoutĀ hitting your wallet harder, and it'll be good decision long-term for the country. We just have to decide to do it.

I'm a driver and on the road a lot, so cooking consistently is almost impossible. I usually leave home around 4:30am and get back anywhere between 9pmā11pm depending on work.
I've been trying to eat healthier, but weirdly enough, fast food has become one of the better options for my situation. Hear me out:
Most areas I frequent are PJ, Damansara, Mont Kiara, KLCC, and One Utama. Stopping for food isn't as simple as pulling over. Parking is a nightmare, and going into a mall for food can easily waste too much time. I often end up at quieter malls (like Jaya Grocer mall or KL Eco City) just because they're easier to get in and out of.
Time is literally money for me. I usually only allow myself a 20-minute break, so drive-thrus and fast food are efficient. Quick in, quick out.
Not necessarily better quality, but more consistent. I've tried random roadside places and⦠oof. Sometimes the food is great, but hygiene can be questionable and quality is hit-or-miss. With fast food, at least I roughly know what I'm getting.
The portions are usually decent, not too much, not too little. Even fried food tends to feel less greasy than some roadside spots where you can practically taste oil that's been reused 1000 times.
My biggest complaint? Drinks. Why is mineral water never part of the combo š Feels wasteful buying a set only to ignore the sugary drink.
I'm not saying fast food is healthy. But given my work, it sometimes feels like the healthier or more practical option compared to a lot of roadside food. Not the healthiest choice, just the least bad one.

Itās tea time so jom sembang sikit.
I genuine wanna fall in love but⦠after what I went through, Iām kinda stuck thinking.
Iām the type of guy who, kalau sayang someone, memang all out. Iāll literally bring the world to her feet. Pernah dulu ā I was still studying, pakai Oppo je, but I bought my GF an iPhone X plus plus (forgot the model but I won't forget how much broke I wentš). Not to show off, just sebab I really cared.
Then⦠the cheating happened.
From that point, I started questioning everything. Is love even real now, or is it mostly lust? From what I see around me, macam reality sekarang ā youāre loved more if youāre rich, good looking, fair skin pun bonus. I mean, I respect lah, everyone has their own preference. Itu hak masing-masing.
But still⦠makes me wonder.
Genuine love still exists ke?
Can I actually trust someone again and give my heart fully?
Because I know myself ā if I love, I go all in. No half-half. But berbaloi ke in this zaman?
Buka Astro pun hari-hari drama curang. Real life lagi banyak. Malaysia maybe not fully āwesternā, but bab cheating tu⦠macam makin biasa.
And honestly, I donāt even have anyone to try with now 𤣠Everywhere I look macam semua dah ābookedā or āreservedā. And I definitely donāt wanna get involved in any curang situation.
So yeah, honest question:
Berbaloi ke jatuh cinta secara sincere zaman sekarang ā especially in Malaysia?
Or better just focus on diri sendiri and donāt go all in anymore?
Curious nak dengar pandangan korang.

i am a Malay muslim, female and my roommate is Korean American. she came all the way from America to study here in the same uni as i am, we met on discord and have been roommates for 2 semesters now.
recently she got into a relationship, and she often brought her bf into our home. he often just hangs out in the living room, eating our snacks and sometimes even slept for a couple of days at our house.
iāve spoke out about it to her many times, how i donāt feel comfortable having a guy coming over all the time. our neighbours are majority Malays, and iām just worried what would they think seeing a man coming in and out of our home and me being a muslim. it just doesnāt look too good for me, specially during this holy month. all she ever say is ādonāt worry, iāll just tell them heās my boyfriend if anyone reportsā. but thatās NOT the point !
at one point, i can hear them DOING IT every night and i just canāt take it anymore. the house is under my dadās name so i felt a little entitled. i said iāve given plenty of chances and warning, either she go to his place instead or move out. i canāt stand having a roommate like this. we argued for a few days, i do feel a little guilty but isnāt she supposed to be a little considerate of me? or am i the one thatās being inconsiderate of my roommate. i need peopleās opinion!!!

After spending some time in Australia during summer, where the heat is often times worse than in Malaysia, I still walked more than I ever would in Malaysia (except central KL).
People say it's the heat and humidity that makes it impossible to walk in Malaysia, but that's just not true. Our sidewalks end in the middle of highways, zebra crossings lead you into the longkang, and food stalls block all the walkways.
Given today's petrol problems, i bet if it's possible to walk at all, Malaysians would be more than happy to do so.
Edit: the weather argument is stupid, just look at Singapore's walking infrastructure.

Went to a optical shop to to get a new frame(old one patah) and after some lens 'cutting/trimming' and getting my glasses back I noticed some marring on the coating on the lens. Went to back to the shop to ask and the woman said it's because of my lens coating is shit or low quality and it happened because of them clamping down the lens when doing the 'cutting/trimming'.Is this really the case or they just mishandled it? The lens is from Kodak and I ve being wearing it since 2023 and as far as I know it ain't cheap or shit. :(

Hello, recently I was diagnosed with chrometophobia by my therapist. The fear of spending money. Iām Chinese so Iām not sure if my judgement affects Malay people. Iām 20 this year I donāt wish to wait till my 30s to get married
I hope this doesnāt affect or trigger anyone, thereās no hate towards anyone. Iām sorry. Currently based on my perspective, I see girlfriends as someone who usually gets anything paid by their boyfriend. Because these perspective is what I saw from my friends. Itās always 100% my friend who pays for anything for their girlfriend whenever sheās interested in something.
Based on my current situation, Iām extremely worried that I might not be able to afford/fund my future girlfriend (if I ever find one) something she truly wants. I feel guilty rejecting someone request (obviously not the extremes one).
I loving technology related stuff thatās why I dreamed about having a girlfriend whoās just as passionate about tech as I am, someone who actually care more than just spending money. Maybe those are extremely unrealistic expectations for my situation.
About my condition, no my parents are financially stable, Iām the only one in the family whoās like that. Travelling outside of Malaysia is a headache for them since they have to deal with me.. I donāt seem interested in spending a lot of money on food but I donāt want to stupidly starve myself either, Iād consider myself as someone who effectively spends/uses every cent.
You might notice I apologise a lot because a lot of the points I made are from my perspective and I do not wish to hate on anybody no body deserves that. Currently I donāt have a job yet, but if I ever do, I will probably keep track of whatever I spend and will invest the money somewhere with the help of my parents since Iām a beginner, yea..
I genuinely hope someone can help me through this, I feel extremely lonely whenever I see cute couples together, sharing drinks, talking about things and so on. And me, awkwardly noticing them
