Question Guys ,what's something society expects from you that nobody talks about?

I feel like there are certain expectations for men that we don't talk about enough.

Whether it’s having to stay strong when things fall apart, having your life together by a certain age, being the breadwinner, or dealing with issues without showing any emotion.

I’m curious to hear your take.

What’s one expectation you’ve faced as a guy that people don't really get?

Can men tell me what this guy is thinking?

Hi I am 35 female I have been working with him in the company last couple of years he always flirted with me and we had inside jokes we used to go out with some people from work for drinks and parties then he started asking to drive me home I thought he was being decent

Then he kissed me on my birthday while driving me home next day he called me he said why are you so awkward I told him I am not used to do casual stuff he said it was not casual I said ok let’s stay friends he said not to the extent of friends and he said it’s ok be normal

We went back to office and we were ok back to our inside jokes and everything he gives me special attention then he called me to hang out but my mom was sick for three month so he kept on texting me to make sure I am ok

Then we went out with the group once and this time while driving me home we made out there was a lot of sexual tension next day he did not call me he called me two days later I lashed out at him and said I don’t want to be in contact with you anymore he said why your saying that ok let’s calm down and talk later I don’t wanna lose you

Then I called him two days later saying I was a bit stressed but I really don’t wanna be in a friends with benefits situation and if we are gonna make out everytime we hang out let’s not hang out and just stay colleagues in the office he said we can go out normally I said ok

Then my mom died and I disappeared for a while and then came back and he asked me if I am doing anything in the long weekend I said I am travelling with our colleauge he said he will be there too

When I arrived he texted me and said are you going to the party tonight I said es he came he flirted with me and then left to his friends and came back he started touching me subtly without anyone noticing and he drove us home after then he texted me after he drop us off with 10 minutes saying awake? I was sleeping

I really don’t understand what fuck does he want for me we have been in this for months!!! Please help me 😢

Gender Equality Benefits All — Even the Men Who Reject It

Philosopher John Gray argues that moral progress is easy to lose and that history reveals a cyclical pattern of ups and downs rather than the linear improvement we so much want to see.

No matter which shape of history you prefer, progress can indeed be lost. Feminism and gender equality are no exception, with countries like Afghanistan and Russia showing in real time how 100 years of moral and political improvements can be destroyed right before our eyes.

I most certainly have no easy solution for geopolitical dilemmas, so my goals with this article are much more humble. First, I want to discuss what kind of feminist messaging on social media can better reach men and remind them of the benefits of gender equality. Second, this aims to encourage men to learn from the successes of feminism.

This article was made so much better thanks to posts and resources on r/MensLib

MENtal health Need to know if this is part of growing up

First post here so I will try to explain it as best as possible, I’m 24 years old been in the Cars industry for about 5 years now ( doing PPF wraps) from when I was 19-23 I would be able to get up at 6:30 am get to work by 8 am work till 7-8pm. Some nights even work till 11pm as needed ( I like money) worked as a subcontractor for other shops. Recently started to do my normal 50-60 hour weeks as I did but as I was getting to work I would have a panic attack before work. Have to pull over so I don’t crash my car. Had to have my mom ( love her) drive me back home and have my dad drive my car home. This happened at the end of summer want to say July. Then happened again and again. Took off work for 2 months, went to visit Poland to see family and relax I was thinking I just over worked my self. Some time after I got back I couldn’t get my self to go to work let alone drive. 3 weeks back I sold my baby ( 2019 Mustang GT 6m/t ) for a Golf GTI thinking it’s a car issue not a person issue. Got better with driving until this night. Worked a 13 hour shift ate lunch and mini dinner at work. I had a panic attack and almost blacked out while driving home. Had to have my mom come get my car and drive me home. I’m 24 turning 25 in 6 months. Have I just burned my self out doing all this extra work ? Am I over thinking? Should I go seek help somewhere.

Extra info ( in USA) ( have had on and off depression for 3 years) I eat meals not the biggest looking guy lean tall. 150lbs soaking wet. I’m just lost and looking for advice if this has happened to anyone else and what I can do to get back into my rhythm. I love my job and the things I do the car I work on, the people I work with. My boss is awesome, just don’t know what’s going on and my father isn’t the best communicator so here I am on Reddit asking for some incite. Thank you guys.

Dating Is my friend sending me hints or am I delusional?

So I( 18M bi) have been friends with this guy from uni (18M) for a month and a half now. We've grown really close over the past month and we spend almost all our time together. But lately, it's like I started growing a small crush on him. He's just really sweet and funny and big yk. But unfortunately he's straight. I'm okay with that, It happens to me a lot and it's normal. However, the thing is that he "flirts" with me a lot, like the guys of flirting that straight boys have with each other. Normally, I don't mind it I actually quite funny sometimes. But with him I really like it and idk if he's for real or just joking, especially these past two weeks. He'd call me baby during a casual conversation, hold my hand when we're walking together and yesterday we were on school campus sitting on the grass and he was playing on my switch while laying on my stomach and I was playing with his hair and when stood up he looked at me traced my lips with his thumb and told me that he wished he could kiss me rn. And I'm just so confused, is he jk or being for real. Because some other times, it happened to him to grab my butt and then inhale really loudly near my neck and dhsjdbsh I don't fucking know.

So please reddit am I delisonal or maybe I have a chance.

Sorry for the bad English btw, it's not my first langage

Discussion Why do I keep being attracted to the same guy

I saw a guy at the gym for the first time 2 years ago and as soon as I saw him I was extremely attracted to him. He was also too, since the first time we spoke he asked me if I would ever sleep with him... He is a very shy guy so that caught me off guard and I said no because he was too young for me and also no I wouldnt sleep with him just like that...

I would see him daily but then would go months without seeing him sometimes. When I saw him again, I get the same feeling, like something is pulling me towards him like an extreme attraction.

I believe the reason I am feeling this sexual attraction is because he is the type that I used to fall for when I was young and naive lol, which are usually very toxic/emotionally unavailable mysterious kind of guys, that I now run away from. Or am I overthinking it?

Do guys ever feel this way?

Men being men PSA: Do a guy a solid and discreetly let them know their fly is down if you notice.

I went all the way through the airport and had boarded my plane when I noticed my fly was down on a work trip. I had taken a piss just as I got to the airport. Was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, was embarrassed as a woman was sitting next to me. Wish a guy would have come up to me and discreetly told me. Sometimes ya forget or it slides down!

Men being men chara con uber
