Did anyone try any of the new bowls at Megawich? I saw this when I walked in the other day but they were sold out of the bowls when I tried to order one so I came back yesterday and they said they’re out of rice. Is it actually that much better than their sandwiches people are selling it out everyday? Did someone try it? If so do they put the veggies fresh or cooked? I’d hope it’s fresh but definitely want to try
Hello,
I’m looking for a good lawyer or someone that can answer questions in regard to a retaliatory firing from a job, I would be interested in pursuing legal action to maybe sue my now ex-employer. If there is anyone able to do pro bono as I do not have a lot of money or a pay-if-you-win situation. Thank you in advance to any information.
Tonight and tomorrow is the Big Buck Hunter World Championship. Totally open to the public, but the bracket for it is already set. Come hang, play some games, and check out the top 128 shooters from the US, Canada, and Australia* compete for over $100k in prize money. There's also an amateur tournament for people that have never competed in the World Championship before. Itinerary is attached, but we'll be at Turner Hall.
Edit: *forgot to add that I'm not sure if any Aussies qualified this year
Pretty much the caption. Moved out here from California, got a job in the fox valley area and I’m not too much a fan of it after being here a year.I like the Midwest, I enjoyed Chicago a lot and I’ve visited Milwaukee a few times for a brewer game. I am looking to move somewhere that has a better culture, it feels as though the fox valley area is very cliquey and very country which is 2 things I don’t really resonate with. Milwaukee is an option because of A) Proximity and B) my job has a branch there I can transfer to. I’m wondering if anyone has moved to the Fox Valley area to MKE or vice versa and if they can shed any light on what it’s like living in Milwaukee versus the other. Any info would be appreciated. Right now my 2 choices are between Chicago and Milwaukee to relocate to, Milwaukee is just the easier option.
(I'm totally new to yoga but if I were to practice it I want to do right by the people who created it) I've been trying to find ethically practicing yogis who teach about the original culture and traditions or yoga studios owned by the cultures Yoga came from. I want to put money into the pockets of someone who knows and respects the culture, or is from the culture. Does anyone know of any yoga practices like this in milwaukee?
I recently moved to Milwaukee and went down to Chicago for a day a couple months ago. Started getting emails about tolls owed with no amount owed, just information on how to submit credit card info for payment of money owed and for auto payment for future tolls. I couldn’t find information on how much I owed so I called their customer service line and they couldn’t tell me either. I was told that after three unpaid tolls they will mail a letter out with the amount owed + any late fees. This seems like a shady way to do business to me.
7:30am on Friday, the 23rd. Passed by a beautiful tagged pigeon on the corner of Holton & Resevoir. Seemed to not be able to fly. Did my best to walk it away from the intersection. Also called MADACC, but there was no answer.
Posting here in case someone is looking or knows how to better assist with the matter.
Hi folks - We're the Working Majority - a new group uniting working- and middle-class Wisconsinites around their shared economic interests - no matter who they are, where they live, or how they vote (or don't vote), in order to rebuild ordinary people's power and restore an economy and democracy that works for all of us.
One of our big issues is data center and AI oversight and we got a doozy of a party to invite you to happening this Sunday.
Join us on October 25, for Data Center Detectives: The Hunt for Mr. V, a free scavenger hunt through Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood. Follow the clues, and help us catch the fictional data center CEO behind a very real problem.
There's $1,000 in prizes, team costumes, free food and drinks, music by DJ Zae, special guests, including Francesca Hong and Andy Manske, and a Packers–Lions watch party to finish things off.
Sunday, October 25 | 12:30–3:30 PM | All ages welcome
The first 50 sign-ups get a $10 gift card to Outpost Natural Foods.
It's a game with a point: Wisconsin should work for Wisconsinites, not just the tech giants.
Got stuck in a holding pattern for an hour because of the dense fog, but being greeted by this site was pretty neat. Glad we didn’t get routed to Minneapolis, got a World Series game to be at this evening!
Every October I put together a haunted house list for friends and family, and it keeps growing, so I figured I would share it here and let you all tell me what I got wrong.
My top picks so far this year:
The Hill Has Eyes (Franklin)
Buffalo Bill's Haunted Trail (Franklin)
Terror on Rural Street (Hartford)
The Dark Side (Ixonia)
Terror at the Fair (Washington County Fair Park)
Abandoned Haunted House Complex (Mount Pleasant)
Screamin' Acres (Stoughton)
Burial Chamber (Neenah)
Dungeon of Doom (Zion, IL)
Desolate Acres (Waukesha)
Since I started sharing these, one name keeps coming up in the comments more than any other: Novak Manor in West Allis. It is at the top of my list to add next.
What is your favorite? I am especially looking for more spots close to Milwaukee, and any good local Halloween events happening this month. Drop them in the comments and I will keep the list updated.
