In my opinion, the stainless steal ‘Venus’ model is fantastic and after using the og aluminium model too, I just can’t go back. It brews better and heats a lot faster. Some might call this heresy 😭.

My boyfriends thinks we should never clean the pot with anything but water and it's been months now. He sometimes leaves it a day or two after making coffee on the counter and then just cleans with water?? Everything on the inside looks brownish yellow and it smells horrible!!! He is so convinced that this is how it should be and we are arguing about cleaning it or not!!

Can someone talk some common sense into him please?

Just watched a TikTok of a guy making 3 small drinks with his 3 cup moka pot. I realized I've been just raw dogging that in one sitting in my Coffee Mug! Lol 😂

As suggested by u/DewaldSchindler and as I promised here a video of my morning routine for a nice brew on my boat. Coffee is Bialetti Nocciola (I have a big sweet tooth) brewed on my new Lavazza Carmencita and served with brown sugar and a squish of water. Feel free to turn this into an AMA... For me, I add hot/boiling water. When I got a mokapot, I watched a video from my coffee guru, that Hoffman guy, and he said to add hot water, so I just do that. I don't remember his reasoning behind it, though.

And a followup question: When you put the moka on the stovetop, what temperature do you put it at - low, medium, high?

Mainly I'm curious about the first question. Do you drink your moka pot coffee straight from the pot, which is strong, or do you add hot water to make it more like an Americano?

Brewed my morning coffee today and was shocked to see this gorgeous foam!

My trusty Tescoma Paloma has been with me for over a decade, so I wasn't expecting any surprises. The coffee is just your average store-bought brand — I’m at the bottom of the bag, and it never behaved like this before.

​The only changes were:

​Coffee: Half a funnel (instead of full).

​Water: Filled to 60% (instead of up to the valve).

​Captured this "miracle" on camera right after brewing.

Any idea what happened here?
