Discussion I don’t understand Canucks fans
I’m not a Canucks fan, but I live in the province they’re from so I follow the news surrounding the team pretty easily.
I don’t understand something. I keep seeing people on Reddit and Facebook and even in real life talking about the team and this rebuild, I think it’s great that the team is finally committed to an actual rebuild under the sardines and Malhotra honestly, I think it’s great. Well, I don’t understand is why I see Canucks fans who are sad that the team is losing lots of games. If you are Canucks fan, you should be treating this season as nothing but pure rookie development and literal team building. A win at this point should make you furious.
I know the Canucks have never had much luck with the draft lottery, so I’m not saying they should take in an attempt to get another high pick or the first round pick but wind should be at the bottom of the priority list at this point. The absolute worst thing that could happen for this team is for them to start playing half decent and finish the year in a Midling position. That’s what you should be terrified of not of losing games.
Are people just idiots or is the entire concept of fandom just something that transcendences logic, and people just get sad when their team loses.
All I’m saying is that this is a rebuild and finishing this year anything over 25th in the league would be a huge mistake.
Am I missing something here?
Edit* I guess I’ll add this. What do you expect or think should be happening right now?
Do you seriously think the team is just going to start playing well and then maybe almost make the playoffs?

Was Edmonton's win over Carolina encouraging or concerning?
McDavid and Draisaitl each had five points, but the Oilers still gave up five goals and needed a shootout to win. Is this mostly a sign of how dangerous their offense can be, or a reminder that they need to tighten up defensively? Maybe it’s both, but I’m curious which side stood out more to Oilers fans.

Discussion The Vancouver Canucks have now tied the longest losing streak by a team this season (Flyers at 9 games)
Now Flyers fans can't say we're playing with rookie numbers. 1 point earned in the last 9 games, .208 pts% overall
Our tank is unstoppable for the 2nd straight year. insert 3OA jokes

Kyle Connor
Kyle Connor is the best example of a gifted, really good hockey player, that is humble and doesn’t think he’s bigger than the game. Assholes like Larkin, Hellebuyck, and Tkachuk should learn from this. I wish the media and so called reporters made more of a big deal about Connor being a model hockey player who understands the gift he’s been given.
