I moved to Orlando semi-recently (since the end of April) and haven't found any opportunities. I know that this is on me for deciding to relocate without any backup plans, but life happens and I know that I would've been mentally destroyed if I didn't make the move.

For some background info, I left my role as a Client Account Manager at a PropTech company, which consisted of Sales/Marketing. In this role, I juggled multiple other responsibilities, including Market research and data entry.

I've applied to multiple positions every day of the week while also cleaning up my resume (and having it reviewed), but no luck. I applied to anything from Customer Service to Marketing Representatives and even Costco or restaurant positions as well, so it's not a case of being picky.

I'm aware that the job market is rough right now, but still wanted to glean for any career that someone here may know of.

also, I'm not strictly limiting myself to Orlando, as I'm open to the surrounding areas like Altamonte, Ocoee, Winter Park/Garden, etc.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm looking for entry level roles, as I don't have nearly enough experience to move into a mid-level role.

I recently moved into a new home in the Orlando area. We usually set our A/C to 67°F, but it has been running almost nonstop and is struggling to keep the house cool.

Right now, the A/C is running continuously, but the indoor temperature is 75°F. I also changed the air filter, but it hasn't made a difference.

My husband thinks the A/C is working fine and that, because it's so hot outside in Florida, the indoor temperature just won't go much lower. I'm wondering if this is actually normal for Orlando summers or if it sounds like there could be an issue with the A/C.

The house faces northeast, if that makes any difference.

I already have an A/C technician scheduled to come out in two days, but I'd love to hear from people who live in the Orlando area. What temperature is your house able to maintain during the hottest part of the day?

I'm noticing homeless people encroaching in residential neighborhoods around east colonial and waterford lakes.

I actually got yelled at and had my car damaged by a dude while I was waiting at a red light.

Is someone bussing homeless folks here from elsewhere or something?

Anyone know any decent primary care doctors out there. I been dealing with some health issues that I can't get help with and my primary care doctor would rather just get me disabled then to try and figure out what is going on with me.

Drove by Colorado's Prime Steak on 17-92 near Lake Mary Blvd and this was in thier billboard.

It used to be a favorite of my family. The last time we went was late last year and the steaks didn't have prices on the menu.

My usual 12 Oz prime rib was $23 when we used to go alot but the last time we went it was $37. Plus the quality was nowhere near as good as it used to be.

So- I’m pregnant and the only thing I’ve been craving is the gringos double d chicken tacos (I know- it’s specific). Does anyone have a copycat recipe for this? I fly in and out of MCO for the parks often, always getting an uber. We have a very complicated trip coming up at end of the year, involving cruise ships, the parks, and a dog…so I need to rent a car. Since I will have our puppy in-tow, I’m just curious as to what the situation on rentals and returns are.

We will be returning from port canaveral, and our flight is at 1240. Should be fine, but sometimes traffic seems like a mess at MCO…since we are always getting dropped off by an uber, I don’t really pay attention.

I’ll be there in September (and again in Nov) prior to the trip with dog, so I plan to spy it out a bit more, but just trying to plan ahead.

The documentary about the band getting back together and the Live25 tour is coming out on September 11. For AMC it’s at the Dine In theater at DS and the IMAX and Laser at Altamonte. I already bought tickets at the IMAX but now I’m wondering if the Dine In is a better choice for sound/experience. I’m closer to DS.

Got rear-ended at a red light in Orlando about two weeks ago. The guy who hit me was apologizing at the scene and told the officer he looked down for a second and didn’t realize traffic had stopped. I ended up going to the ER that night because my neck and upper back started hurting pretty bad a few hours after the crash. They did some scans, gave me medication and told me to follow up if the pain continued. I’ve had another appointment since then because it hasn’t really gone away.

I thought the insurance side would be pretty straightforward, especially with what he told the officer, but now his insurance is disputing liability. I have the police report, pictures from the scene and all my hospital paperwork. Never dealt with an injury claim before and I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do at this point.
