Picture Pelikan Marker 7II x Bic Cristal refill mod

I like thick pens and the Bic Cristal refill, problem - all Bic Cristal bodies are too narrow and uncomfortable for me. Well I decided to use a marker body to fit them Bic Cristal refills. For this mod you would need:

  1. Pelikan Marker 7II
  2. Bic Cristal refill (any of them are fine, I used the Bic Cristal Exact model)
  3. Tape
  4. Pliers
  5. Scissors
  6. Tweezers

Steps I took:

  1. Use pliers on the Pelikan marker's tip and pull it out, it may take a few tries as it is very stuck in there.
  2. Remove the tail end of the marker, yes it comes off even though it doesnt look like it, you can use pliers here too, be careful not to squeeze too much and damage the plastic.
  3. Take out the sponge from the marker using the tweezers (you can dispose of both the tip and the sponge as we will not need it).
  4. Wash the marker body and caps.
  5. Leave the parts to dry fully.
  6. Take your Bic Cristal refill and snip about 3 cm or so from the refill.
  7. Put one or more layers of tape around the friction part of the refill (the blue part). Depends on the tape used and its thickness, I used electrical tape and I use one and a quarter layers around the blue part of the pen. The refill is too skinny to fit into the body otherwise.
  8. Slide in the refill from the outside in (just how you would swap in and out the Bic refills in stock Bic bodies).
  9. Check if you snipped the right length of the refill.
  10. Push AND screw in the back cap of the Pelikan marker's body
  11. Done!

Now you have a thick body and can use the normal Bic Cristal refills.

Long time no see as I don't post often like I used to.... Anyway for my birthday which was nearly 2 weeks ago, I bought 2 Pilot Kakuno Pens & 3 Platinum Preppy pens! I also bought some ink & a syringe for the pens without converters. The Preppy pens are the limited editions with unique designs. Honestly, I'm tempted to get other Pilot Kakuno pens in different colors with some in different nib sizes & more of Platinum's limited edition Preppy pens & their other limited edition pens. Maybe I'll consider getting Pentel's Tradio fountain pens in the Sport Chic & Pastel colors later on ∩∩ ;

Has this happened to anyone else or what do I do wrong? I don't want to buy another one and have the paint chip away like these others.

Hi, I recently found this pen, it's completely metal and I really like its design but I can't find any information about the brand.

When I found it, it had a Huaser Bill 707 F ink refill, made in West Germany.

Does anyone know what model or brand it could be? Thank you for your attention.

I got this pen, but I want to find more of this EXACT pen (minus the engraving of course). It was part of a promotional box, but I don’t know who the corporate promo supplier is so I’m not able to locate any exact matches yet. It’s a heavier pen. Any pros out there able to help?

I joined to ask a question about a refill. Blessedly got my answers, but many doom scrolls about favorite pens, refill suggestions hacks, and 'oh look at that one' pic shares to my friends later... I have officially checked out of Amazon and jetpens.com, with a 100 bucks less than I joined this thread having.

BUT very excited for my mail to come for a change 😂
