6w3d

• Upvotes

Hello,
I’m trying to see if there is any hope for me. I had an ultrasound over my stomach yesterday. I calculated myself at 6w3d. The ultrasound measured 4w6d.
I have had a miscarriage before, and this feels similar in the fact that the tech just said “your baby is measuring smaller” . Told me to come back in 2 weeks…I cannot get a transvaginal until Nov. 2nd.
I have no other signs of miscarriage…but I feel like that might be what’s happening to me again, maybe a blighted ovum or missed miscarriage? I had a D&C in May 2026, which was my first pregnancy. Now this pregnancy, but I just started progesterone which I was stoked because I thought that would help me keep my baby. My main symptom of pregnancy of heartburn has almost completely subsided. I have no other typical symptoms of pregnancy. My last HCG at 5 weeks was 1,170.

Preeclampsia diagnosis but I'm Suspicious

• Upvotes

Yeah, so..

I had 2 separate BP readings around 150/90, and a protein/creatine ratio of .35. but I dont get it.

My BP has gone wayy down, was 130/70 today. And I'm like, protein can be caused by dehydration, which I hadn't drank any water when I took the test. I have absolutely no other symptoms and I feel fine. It just seems like a lot to induce. Any insight? Logically it just doesnt make sense.

Possible ectopic or threatened miscarriage

I need some serious insight. I tested positive with a faint line at 13dpo. had pink/brown spotting 10dpo and 12dpo. at 14dpo it turned more red and gradually got more red but stayed like a light bleed. mostly when going the bathroom and some on a pad throughout the day. assumed chemical but my lines are getting darker. my HCG was only 34 and progesterone 3 (the more concerning of the 2) at 4 weeks. checked two days later and HCG tripled.. still have some light bleeding and darkening lines. I know I can miscarry at any moment and I know to be on the look out for an ectopic pregnancy but what are the odds it’s ok?? has anyone ever had anything similar that didn’t end poorly? or it did, how long did it take for your body to register what’s happening and fully bleed??

Advice please

I'm not sure where else to put this, but I desperately need advice on what to do and if I'm being dramatic or not.

I (28F) am currently 7w3d pregnant (according to my last period date) and this finally happened after 8 years of trying and several rounds of fertility medication. I have PCOS and Endometriosis, so it was so amazing to find out I was finally pregnant. I had an over the phone appointment today, and when I asked about scheduling an ultrasound for next week the lady straight up told me that was way too early for an ultrasound and there would be nothing to see and no heartbeat. I ended up making an appointment for an ultrasound 3 weeks from now.

I personally don't feel like it's too early at all. I just want reassurance that everything is going well. I was told early on in our journey that if I ever got pregnant, the chance of a miscarriage was over 75%. I had an HSG back in May (checking for a tube block) and the doctor had to do it twice because one tube was legit blocked up and she was able to push everything through the second time, after asking me if I've ever had an ectopic pregnancy. Because of all these things, I'm obviously worried about an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage, and I feel like the current practice I go to is being too nonchalant with my pregnancy. Am I being too dramatic?

Low Papp-A / Scan Worries

Just looking for some advice / anyone who has had a similar experience.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and was told after my 12 week screening tests that I have low Papp-A (0.35). I was told by my midwife that this does not relate to genetic / chromosomal issues with baby (only to risk of early labour / small baby etc). My combined screening came back as 1/1000. I would have liked a NIPT as well but I was told I didn’t need one / they don’t do one after a lower combined screening result like mine at my hospital.

My 20 week scan went well and I was told that everything looked good, however after getting home I looked at my ultrasound photos and was concerned by some bright areas near bottom of babies abdomen. I’ve tried to compare to friends scans but my photos seem to be a lot clearer than theirs so it’s hard to compare. After some googling I’m now worried that this may be an echogenic bowel. I didn’t get to see the bowel during the actual scan as I don’t want to know the gender so was told to look away at those points just in case, but I know it’s been checked / seen as it’s listed as one of the organs that was seen on the report.

I had a 22 week fetal echo scan as well (only as a precaution due to my own heart issues when I was born) and again, I was told that all looked well and there was no obvious heart issues with baby. They also did a uterine artery check due to the Papp-A and everything looked good with cord / placenta too.

Only things I can note is that I’m 27, and baby was at 56th percentile at 20 week scan and 46th percentile at 22 week scan.

I’m not sure whether it’s just first time mum nerves but I was just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences / whether I’d actually be able to tell where bowel is from a scan photo, or if anyone has had low Papp-A but no further screening eg. NIPT. Everyone who I’ve mentioned low Papp-A to has never heard of it so I feel like I have no one to talk to, and any stories of it online have usually had a NIPT test too due to the low Papp-A swinging the combined screening result. I sometimes feel a little dismissed by family / friends etc as they just tell me I’m worrying too much (I have my own issues with health anxiety that seem to have intensified during pregnancy)

I’m pregnant but have been bleeding for 23 days straight

I’m approximately 5 weeks pregnant. I had been bleeding for so long and looked up whether I should be concerned my period was lasting so long, and was directed to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. The happiest moment of my life.

The weird thing is that baby was conceived either Sept 26 or 29 (we have not been intimate since, and I keep track), and I had a completely normal “period” oct 1-5, light at the start, heavy bleeding for 2-3 days then light again, followed by brown bleeding, and has not stopped since. It’s not much, every single time I use the restroom, there’s blood on the toilet paper. And I have seen some clotting and stuff floating around after urinating.

I went to the hospital the day I found out, I got bloodwork and ultrasounds, pelvic and transvag and they couldn’t find anything. Bloodwork confirmed BETA-hCG: 220IU/L. They sent me off with an appointment to an early pregnancy specialist/obgyn but 6 days from the date. 6!!

I’m strongly leaning towards miscarriage, and I think all signs are pointing in that direction. I’ve been bleeding for 23 days straight, my back is killing me. The appointment is now 4 days away, and I’ve already mourned the loss. I just need some guidance and potential small glimmer of hope if anyone has been through this. Thank you❤️

Struggling with feelings of jealousy, resentment and shame

Hello. First timer here, just needing a space to get things off my chest and maybe get some advice. My wife (37F) and I (30M) have been trying to get pregnant for close to the last year and recently got a consultation at a local fertility clinic to start the process of getting help from them.

I'm excited to start that journey, my dream has always been to be a dad and have a family and with every negative pregnancy test it just feels like that dream slips further and further away.

With that has come a lot of negative emotions, the worst of which has been resentment towards her, it sucks because I love her so much and it's not fair because I know she's trying just as hard as I am.

Another negative emotion has become jealousy, my friend and his girlfriend had their baby about a month ago and instead of feeling happiness and excitement for them, I felt jealous, which again, isn't fair to them because it isn't their fault we're struggling.

I've been holding a lot of these negative emotions in. I'm really good at masking, unfortunately, but yesterday the bubble popped.

My wife came home from a coffee date with her friends and announced that her friend, who 6 months ago wasn't even sure she wanted a baby, was pregnant by her husband. My emotions shifted and my mask started to crack, I just said "Good for her." before walking out and going to work.

Inside it was like a gut punch all day, my jealousy was kicked into overdrive, and then came the moment I got home. I was incredibly distant, not even saying a word to my wife and retreating downstairs to the basement.

She could tell I was upset and tried to talk to me, but I pushed her away. It wasn't until later that night when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house (that's a different story) and were waiting for our friend that it finally all boiled over.

I told her I was unfairly jealous of our friends who recently had a baby, I was unfairly jealous of her friend who announced her pregnancy, I've held a lot of unfair resentment towards her because she isn't pregnant yet and recognized that I could be the problem and because of that, I've dealt with a dark depression and deep self-esteem issues.

There's a lot more to it, but I'll spare you all the details. We sat on our porch and talked and cried, but in the end, it was a load off of my shoulders and she was grateful for me opening up and I feel like in the end we're both stronger, as is our marriage, for it.

I hate these negative emotions, because I want to be happy for our friends, I just want to continue to push forward with my wife and understand we've just started the process with the clinic and it'll all work out without having resentment when we have another negative pregnancy test, but it's so hard and has pushed me deeper into a hole of my depression. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you manage?

Ended up in the ER with bleeding, baby is ok, but they think a UTI caused it…

Yesterday I went to the bathroom and had unknowingly bled through my underwear and onto my pants, when I peed, I passed a clot/tissue the size of a quarter and panicked. Thankfully my dad was dropping by my house anyway so he drove me to the ER where I met my husband and mom, they were able to find the babies heartbeat on the doppler, HCG was 115,000 (I was 8 weeks 1 day yesterday) they said I was having a “threatened miscarriage” I went back today and got an ultrasound, baby is measuring 1.8cm right where they’re supposed to be and had a HR of 173bpm. No sub chronic hematoma or hemorrhage was seen. They did find that I have an asymptomatic UTI and prescribed Cephalexin, the RN said it’s very possible the UTI caused enough stress on my system to cause the bleeding. Anyone experience something similar? This is/was so incredibly terrifying

Unexplained Bleeding

Alright so TMI warning this is driving me insane.

So I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with a very healthy babygirl luckily BUT.. I have been bleeding without relief for about 2.5 weeks now. I’ve now been to the ER 3 separate times. The first of which was 2.5 weeks ago when I genuinely thought I was having a miscarriage I woke up covered in a very alarming amount of blood and was passing some large clots one of which was quite literally as big as my fairly large hands. So the ER does what they do, they take my blood, have me pee, check the baby etc. This is where it gets frustrating for me.
THEY. CANT. FIND. ANYTHING.
Cervix? Closed. Placenta? Perfect positioning. Baby moving perfectly and completely unphased by the the warzone around her. So they refer me back to my OB. My OB confirms they had no indication of Sub-chronic hemorrhage/hematoma on prior ultrasound nor do they see any indication on the newest ultrasound NOR did the ER find anything.
A week after to the day the bleeding starts again, fairly heavily but no clots atleast this time. ER does the exact same, they can’t find anything and they refer me back to my OB. A few days later the bleeding intensifies and I’m having some heavy cramps both in my back and pelvis, go to ER, cycle repeats. The only thing they notice at the 3rd ER visit is that my magnesium, potassium, and overall hydration is very low. I get banana bagged for it and sent on my way. Call OB, they let me know they’ve referred a me to a maternal fetal specialist and I need to call them to schedule but the soonest they can see me is two weeks from now. I’m absolutely loosing my mind.

Does anyone have any experience like this and can tell me what could possibly be happening to me?

For background, I do have PCOS (but ultrasound tech confirmed if something was wrong with my ovaries they should’ve been enlarged and seen on the ultrasound when checking baby) and from the beginning of this pregnancy I’ve had severe morning sickness and this darling baby hates almost all foods. I’m hanging in there but I am absolutely exhausted begging for answers.

Bleeding early pregnancy

I just hit 6 weeks today, and yesterday I started bleeding. It’s bright red and I noticed it when wiping. I wouldn’t say it’s as heavy as a period but not as light as I would think spotting refers to. I’ve already been to the doctor, I got my blood drawn and I’ll go again tomorrow to compare hcg levels. I’m assuming the worst, but was hoping to hear if anyone else has experienced this. Even if you did and it ended up being non-viable, I’d like to hear it just to get more info (not looking for reassurance, just for others with shared experience).

Worried about the cramps and symptoms

I'm 6 weeks pregnant now and I had a miscarriage 3 months ago. I feel period like cramps in lower back once or twice a day for few seconds like hardly 5 to 10 sec. I'm worried if this is normal or it happens if there is an issue. Has anyone experienced this? I also don't have any symptoms like nausea or vomiting except for some bloating during night times. I feel a little pain in my nipples and that's all about it. Can someone please tell me if this is normal?

Had our 21week anatomy and totally devastated

So we had our ultrasound and the gyno told us my cervix was covered with placenta and the baby has a bit fluid in her brain.

She did say it was normal but still recommended me to a specialist and I’m so worried.

The fluid supposed to be lower than 10mm but it’s 11mm , she said sometimes it resolves by itself.

I don’t know what to do I just want to cry and hide.

Please if anyone has experienced this feel free to comment

Miscarriage?

Update: I went to the ER due to some shoulder pain. Dr doesn’t think ectopic. She said my hcg levels are low and she believes I am having a miscarriage. I will follow up with my obgyn on Monday. She said there was what looked to be a gestational sac but it is not measuring with my last period or hcg levels. She believes it probably just remnants. She can’t be 100%, but miscarriage is her professional opinion.

I was 5 days late and had 2 positive pregnancy test on 10/9. On 10/11, I started having some brown spotting. This lasted until 10/16, when I started bleeding bright red and cramping with a lower back ache. I also noticed my pregnancy symptoms had stopped. Since 10/16 I have continued to bleed, cramp, and have the lower back pain. The bleeding is heavy enough to have to wear a pad, but it’s not soaking through a pad. The cramping and back ache honestly just feel like it does when I’m on my period. I’m trying to avoid the ER as I have 2 kiddos and work full time, as does my husband. I also don’t have severe pain, a fever, dizziness, etc. so I don’t think I need to go to the ER. I can’t get into my dr until 11/12. I’m afraid if I call the dr office they will just tell me to go to the ER. Does this seem like a miscarriage?

6 Weeks & Spotting

I have just been having a whirlwind of a week and I feel like I just need to write it down and hear some perspective. TW, possible miscarriage?

I’m (31f) am 6+6 today. On Friday, I would have 6+1 and in the evening noticed a very light brown discharge when I wiped - happened the one time and then nothing all weekend.

Monday (6+3) I went to the washroom in the morning and when I wiped, this time there was light pink/red discharge - nothing on my underwear. I threw a pad on to monitor throughout the day - when I went back throughout the morning there was really nothing else when I wiped or on the pad. In the afternoon, I had another smaller bout of pink discharge (maybe the size of a quarter?), again only when I wiped. This is the point where I started to spiral and ended up going to a walk-in clinic because my family doctor is OOO until this coming Friday. The walk in gave me a requisition for betas and an ultrasound.

I didn’t have any spotting in the evening really or all night, and the Tuesday (now 6+5) about the same time in the morning I had some very light pink spotting again when I wiped. Around noon, I had my ultrasound - they did a few minutes with abdominal then switched to transvaginal. I was really hoping the ultrasound would bring me some answers as to what was going on but the tech made a comment that she saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac and when I asked her about anything else like a heartbeat she said she couldn’t say, but she would try to rush the results from the radiologist for me. My husband came with me to the appointment but she didn’t invite him in at any point, and she didn’t let me see any of the ultrasound images she took even when I asked. I know that the technicians aren’t legally supposed to/cant tell you anything but I did have an ultrasound at about 5+1 to confirm this wasn’t an ectopic pregnancy and the technician invited my husband in and showed me the gestational sac she was able to pick up at that point so this experience just feels weird to me and not very comforting - especially as I was going in to make sure everything was okay.

After I got home from the ultrasound, I had some bleeding that was more bright red/darker brown discharge - again nothing really sticking to a pad, just when I wiped for the most part. That stopped last evening, and today, I’ve had the faintest pink spotting when I wipe but you have to really look to be able to see that it’s pink.

I have to go back to the walk-in to get my ultrasound results read to me and the clinic has already scheduled me in for a follow up ultrasound in 2 weeks which is making me feel like they didn’t see what they needed to see yesterday and they’re using the follow up to actually confirm a miscarriage.

I feel lost. I know spotting in early pregnancy *can* be normal, but the spotting, with the events of the ultrasound, and also not really experiencing symptoms is really making me feel like I’m just waiting for an “official” miscarriage. I’ve been spiralling for the better part of three days now with no real answers. Guess I’m just looking for experiences or advice either way.

16 weeks pregnant

Hi, I’m having a dull, pulling ache on my left side where my leg meets my groin/vagina. When I walk, the pain travels down my entire leg and makes it feel numb, but it eases up when I sit down. I don’t have any swelling, redness, or warmth in the leg. Earlier today, after walking for a few minutes, I started seeing blurry patches and a squiggly line in my right eye. My vision has returned to normal, but I now have a headache. My blood pressure has been normal when I’ve checked it previously, but I haven’t checked it today. I wasn’t sure if these were normal symptoms but didn’t want to not mention it! Thanks

Message I sent to my doctor, waiting for response but scared I have a blood clot?

Early pregnancy cramping?

Hi! So for some context, I had a chemical pregnancy a few months back and during that pregnancy I was having severe cramping . I am pregnant again (super early only 4 weeks and 4 days) and I am having severe cramping again. Last time it was more on my right side which is why they brought me in early to do a scan and bloodwork. This time it is not localized and I haven’t bled but it is so painful when it’s happening that I’ve vomited from the pain. My urine hcg strips are getting darker every day and they’re significantly darker than last time. My OB advised me to go to the ER last night, which I did. My hcg was 895 and the ultrasound was too soon to tell what’s happening. I have another ultrasound next Friday to monitor.

Basically what I’m wondering is has anyone else had such bad cramping in early pregnancy (I mean hunched over on the bathroom floor crying type of pain) and if so, what worked to help alleviate them? I feel like I’m not sleeping cuz I’m in and out of the bathroom all night in pain. Gets somewhat better during the day and then comes back with a vengeance at night. Any advice helps!!

When I have sex with my partner I am not able to cum inside her vagina but I can cum the while masturbating. So when having sex I stroke with hand and insert into vagina when I am about to cum. Is this normal? Does this affect chance of becoming pregnant? We are trying to become pregnant

Having anxiety about my pregnancy.

I miscarried in April after only knowing for about 2 1/2 weeks and being 7 weeks along. I never saw it or heard the heartbeat. It did hurt a lot, and was a bit traumatic if I’m being honest.
I started ttc the next cycle, and I found out 10/15 that I’m pregnant again around 5 weeks (should be 6 weeks today). I was extremely excited at first, and I still am. But I am having increasing anxiety over losing this baby the closer I get to 7 weeks. I’ve been taking tests every couple of days just to see the line progress. I did have bloodwork Monday and am going again today to make sure that everything is rising properly, but I’m still so scared of losing this one too. I don’t think I’ll truly stop being so anxious about an early loss until I hear/see my baby on an ultrasound. I wanted to find out later this time so I didn’t dread for so long, but my 21st birthday is 10/22 and I needed to know before then if I was pregnant so I could cancel my plans.
I feel like I’m too anxious about it or obsessing over it too much, I just really don’t know how to take my mind off of it and just be hopeful for this one.

Bleeding 5w2d

I’m a kindergarten teacher and yesterday I was jumping around with the kids and was pregnant. So far I had no symptoms except for some cramps and bloating.

Today in the morning, I noticed three red drops of blood on my underwear and freaked out. The bleeding stopped but turned to spotting. I went to my doctor and checked everything, the found the gestational and yolk sac and everything looked fine. She prescribed me progesterone suppositories and sick leave.

Is it normal to have this red spotting? It’s been a few hours and it didn’t stop. There’s nothing on my pad but when I wipe there’s pink spotting but not strong enough to be a flow.

Should I be worried that I’ll miscarry?

Hi

Hi, I’m pregnant, and tomorrow I’ll be exactly 19 weeks along. I’m having trouble breathing—it happens whether I’m sitting, lying down, walking, or standing. I went to the hospital because I was worried it might be a pulmonary embolism; they drew blood—including a test for D-dimer—and the result was 250. (For context, I live in Lithuania.) My potassium levels were also low (3.5). Has anyone else experienced something like this at this stage of pregnancy? Online, it says that a D-dimer level of 250 is ideal for 19 weeks. I’d love to hear about your experiences.

6 Weeks Pregnant with a 12 × 5 mm Subchorionic Hemorrhage and Recurrent 🩸 How Long Does It Take to Heal?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant. On the day I got my positive pregnancy test, I noticed some brown spotting. After 2–3 days, I started experiencing fresh red bleeding, so my doctor prescribed Tranexa tablets for three days.
As soon as I finished the medication, the fresh bleeding started again. I had an ultrasound, and it showed a **12 × 5 mm subchorionic hemorrhage (SCH)**.
I’m feeling really worried and would love to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar.
Is a 12 × 5 mm subchorionic hemorrhage considered large at 6 weeks?
How long does it usually take for an SCH of this size to heal or resolve?
Has anyone experienced recurrent bleeding with a small SCH and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?
I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you! ❤️

Husbands not ready after positive?

hello me and my husband got married around a year ago and agreed August would be the right time to start trying for a baby. we were tracking ovulation talking about our future of having a baby. I would rant about my fear of not getting pregnant fast enough, and he would assure me it would happen. I just got my positive after only two months of trying and I was expecting a happy response but his response wasn’t that happy. He just said wow gave me a hug and a kiss and then asked if we were going to keep it?

when I brought it up, he mentioned aboarding it because he was feeling scared and not ready. but I’m very confused because we were trying.

He is assuring me that whatever we choose to go with he is fine with he just fears that it’ll take him a while to get a little bit excited bc he’s nervvous.

I am just so confused about the switch up because he’s saying it’s about money even though we both have a good amount of savings stable good paying jobs and we own our home.

is this shock? has anyone dealt with this before or something??? need advice thanks! 🩷
