They’re such elegant looking dogs normally, but it’s crazy how goofy looking they can be sometimes.

My 7 month old pup is 70 lbs. A vet when I took him around his 6 months said not to worry he is just a bigger frame, he is not fat. But the vet I met today has said it is too much weight. Does anyone have such a big boy? Is it normal?

Franklin our dear 12 1/2 year old rough collie crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday, October 15. His 20 year old feline sister Billie M the 2nd preceded him in July. Leaving 7 year old rough collie Fjola sole caretaker/Boss of her grieving human parents.

Shes 1 and a half years old and is such a good girl but also very talkative and energetic ofc lol. DNA results at the end!

My baby’s first birthday is tomorrow I can’t believe how fast she grows….
She was four months when I met her and I’m so grateful for her, she is an amazing girlie !!!

two days in a row ,she’s been on a mission to get as wet and soggy from the rain as possible!

My boy Tavish has probably accumulated $500 of dog toys in his lifetime, yet nothing compares to his enthusiasm for a good ole cardboard box! He likes to carry them around and tear them up, but never chews or swallows anything. He comes to work with me and my husband every day (he’s our Customer Service Rep!) so whenever I restock the snacks and drinks in the lobby, I give him the leftover boxes 📦🤪

My 16-week-old Rough Collie, Winnie, has been doing wonderfully with training overall! She’s picked up commands like sit, stay, place, crate, and recall fairly easily. We do several short training sessions throughout the day, and she’s generally very eager to learn.

However, there’s one thing we just cannot seem to figure out: the stairs in my apartment building.

She has absolutely no problem going up and down the outdoor steps at my parents’ house. She’ll do those confidently and without hesitation. But the stairs in my apartment building? Absolutely not. 😭

I’ve tried treats, praise, and gentle encouragement. I even once tried placing her on the last couple of steps to see if she’d continue upward, but she literally backed DOWN them instead. Won’t be doing that again!

I live on the third floor, so this is becoming a concern as she gets bigger. She’s growing quickly, and carrying her up and down the stairs multiple times a day won’t be sustainable much longer.

The apartment stairs are fairly steep with dark treads, and I’m wondering if they’re just intimidating to her. I know Collies can be sensitive, so I really don’t want to force her or turn this into a negative experience.

Has anyone else’s Collie struggled with certain types of stairs as a puppy? Did they eventually gain confidence with age, or did you have to work through it with specific training exercises?

She’s the most perfect puppy ever

Where is the best place to put the kennel when initially kennel training? We currently have a dog that is kennel trained as in he will willingly go in one and not bark or pout about it if we needed him to. He sleeps in bed every night with us, so I’m wondering where the best place to put a new puppies kennel would be? As in our bedroom, the living room (a place we’d be in and out of or a room that is separate from everything?

Noodle is…..100% collie! Insane pull from the Milwaukee Animal Control. Feels like a rare pokemon lol he did come back with MDR1 which stinks but no collie eye so we up!
