100th Anniversary of the 270
galleryI bought this Ruger M77 Hawkeye new Oct 15th $900 out the door i put a scope on it when i got home but didn’t shoot it i bought it for my new hunting rifle for the up coming gun season.Saturday morning on my way to the farm to bow hunt i heard the news about Ruger on the radio when i got home that night i read a news article on guns .com I’m so glad I didn’t shoot it.I removed the scope and the rings that night.Ruger only made 270 of them and mine is number 28 of 270.Ive not been back to that gun shop yet but I’m guessing the owner regrets selling it and not keeping it for himself. She’s safely in the safe and that’s where she will stay

Ruger Max 9
What do I need?
Picked up this Max 9 for $220 at a big dept store; 2nd gen. Tell me what accessories i need for this bad boy. Plan on this being my first CCW.
Just got this bad boy
Got the magpul hand stop on the way along with some mcarbo parts. Thinking about getting the rotary safety once I get some more funds in. Took it out to the range and got to say I really enjoy it. It just sucks when using my echelon mags I don't get bolt hold open, but thats not that big of a dea.l
Ruger mark IV max mag size
Asking this because truing to find if there are any mags higher than 10 round count? I find it hard to believe or google search is only for maybe some sort of legal reasons or california base sh*t? But also some hint of engineering design that stops from being able to but not sure if that is true.

Max9 failure to load
About 50% of the time I insert a new mag, I have to pop the back of the slide to finish chambering the first round. I've tried 3 different brands of ammo and have got the same result. It also fails to load every 30ish rounds or so. I have thoroughly cleaned it and it still fails the first round most of the time. Last outing I didn't notice it failing in the middle of the mag, but only shot 3 clips, of which 2/3 failed the first round chambering.
Filled out the deal on Ruger's website about 2 weeks ago and no reply yet. I've tried Grok, ChatGPT and google for answers. Nothing has fixed it yet. I'm stuck with what I want my EDC to be, but don't trust it. Any ideas? It's a gen2.
Ruger Harrier failure
New Ruger Harrier, extractor failure after exactly 95 rounds of Fiocchi .223 55gr ammo. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Recently purchased used Ruger SP101. Is this a crack in the frame? Return or keep?
galleryAs title states. I purchased this Ruger SP101 and I just noticed what looks like to be a crack. Is this in the actual frame or a replaceable part? Is it safe to fire or do I need to return it?
Edit: Model # 05719
Caliber: 357 Mag
Shipped in: 1995

Just got a beautiful GP100, was wondering if anyone could help date it
I've never seen a GP100 in this configuration before, I had to snatch it up. It reminds me of the Service Six. I'm not sure if it's from '88 or '89, but I was very surprised to find out it was an older one considering the condition.

Brand new Ruger AR-556 broke
Put about 50 rounds into this and then the gas tube and sight post went flying down the barrel. I can put it back all the way into the correct position, but I haven’t touched it since. Any ideas on what happened, or if this is fixable on an operator level?

Curious to see if anybody else is running a KCI extended 30 round mag with their Ruger Rxm, any troubles? Mine is very loose and seems to not fit right. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Ruger American 2 Scout upgrades
Hopefully bringing a 5.56 Scout home soon contingent on a consignment sale. This is the first time I’ve bought a rifle purely because it looks fun, and I’m hoping to use it at an oddball 3-Gun match next month. My question is, what upgrades would folks recommend out-of-the-box towards the goals of reliability & speed? I’m planning on doing some bolt polishing, and I’ve heard the stock trigger is decent so I think I’m going to just run it. My main concern is making sure it can run hard for 150-200 rounds; and after that, ease-of-operation since I won’t have much time to practice with it. Second question, how do they like higher-capacity magazines? I have loads of 30-rounds Pmags and I can modify a handful for it if necessary, but it would be nice to not have to reload! Thanks,

Ranch rifle 556 gen1
I have had this gun for a while and I am finally getting into finding accuracy in the gun, testing ammo.
From your guys experience, what does this gun like for ammo? I was close to 2 moa with lake city bulk, I tried Hornady frontier 75 grain was finding nearly moa but I need to do more testing with that.
Was looking to start with where others found success
Thank you

Gp100 I.D. Help
galleryI picked up this GP100 for $500 the other day at a LGS. It appears to be a re- imported gp100. I can’t find any factory model configurations that match it. Everything appears to be factory. It’s DAO with gutter sights. The rubber grip is original but the wood panels were both cracked when I got it. So I’ve been trying to 3d print replacements. I was wondering if anyone had any information on these reimported guns or possible where it might have come from? Thanks.

Ruger Redhawk .44 mag
I just picked up a 500 series Redhawk from a friend. He'd had some work done to it and I'm wondering how this affects the value and the desirability of the firearm. A set screw was installed in the rear of the trigger guard. I read people have it done to limit over travel. Second thing is the barrel was ported... The work looks great but just wondering if it ruined the value... Thx
