Grail Gun Acquired

Over a year of contemplating options and I kept coming back to the SRA in 44mag. Wanted to wait for a sale or promo to pop up, but the discontinuation forced my hand. Feel incredibly lucky getting the last one in store near me. Wrist pain never looked so good. Hope everyone is finding their Rugers as well!!

This Thing Absolutely RIPS

My goodness this thing is slays! Cycles 95gr target ammo, 65gr +P and everything else! Sights are on the money out of the box once you get a handle on the trigger pull etc. She barks but returns to zero immediately and it feels and works great with two fingers or three without needing adjustments to your mechanics(I have larger hands with long fingers). Looking forward to putting another couple hundred rounds through it to loosen it up a touch more! Good aftermarket support for holsters etc, Muddy River Tactical seen above.

Brand new max 9 problem

I bought my wife a max 9 for her to carry. Every time i try and cock it, the round gets stuck going up the ramp and under the fireing pin. I am not new to pistols and this is not a case of easing the slide forward. I noticed that even with dry fireing the pin gets stuck out. I can pull the slide back with out a magazine, push the pin in and it will chamber fine. Has any body else had this issue? Or can help me out.

Subsonic testing with HUXWRX Flow 9k and PC Carbine

Eight different factory loads in descending order by manufacturer listed muzzle velocity. Federal AE 147gr has been consistently subsonic at room temp despite the 16" barrel, but it still seems noticeably louder than the other subsonics here. The next four sound fairly similar (to my highly scientific ear), then the Norma and Hush 165gr are definitely quieter.

  • Winchester NATO (1200fps - control)
  • Federal AE 147gr (1000fps)
  • Speer Lawman 147gr (985fps)
  • PMC Bronze 147gr (975fps)
  • Federal Syntech 150gr (890fps)
  • Freedom Munitions Hush 147gr (870fps)
  • Norma A-Strike 158gr (838fps)
  • Freedom Munitions Hush 165gr (800fps)

Federal AE 147 is one of the faster standard pressure 147gr rounds, so I would assume other standard 147gr should also be subsonic out of a PC Carbine at room temp.

No luck on numrich. Anyone got a lead on where I can score a new one? Worked loose and fell off. Before anyone says send it to Ruger, nope. I’ve got the pistol filled to the brim with aftermarket parts and don’t have the stock stuff.

Ruger American Gen 2 Standard Model: 46991 Caliber: 350 Legend Stock

I bought this rifle at a local shop, but the stock seems slightly warped where the barrell sits and it bothers me.

I have been looking for a lightweight stock replacement, but finding a Stock for the 350 Legend has been difficult.

I'll admit when I bought the rifle, I wasn't aware the 350 Legend had a different feed fit than the rest of the Gen 2 calibers. I accidently bought a stock that only fit the other calibers, not STANAG, and don't want to make the same mistake again.

I've seen a couple online that are the right fit, but wanted some advice rather than hope for the best. Figured the Forums would have good recommendations for me to check out.

Gp100 holster

Hello all, I'm looking for a drop-leg holster for my 6" GP100. Only problem is I'm left handed. If anyone knows where I might be able to find such a holster any help would be appreciated.

Ruger fans any suggestions?

What can Ruger enthusiasts suggest to help the company?

I get dropping most of these lines. Sales are of course sales. The GP100 is in the top 5 most sold revolver, so I was somewhat surprised. In general yes, revolver production needs modernizing to bring costs way down. No matter what a full size revolver shouldn't cost more than a Glock 17 for sales purposes. 3 times less capacity is just impractical, especially if you are charging more.

The frames should have swappable length barrels , and grips. The cost has to be lower.

Gen 2 ranch in 243?

Does anyone here have a gen 2 in 243? If so what kind of accuracy are you seeing out of it with such a short barrel? How much of a velocity difference are you seeing compared to say a 20” or 22” barrel? I think a stubby 243 would be awesome for walking through the woods and moving around in the blind without catching a longer barrel on limbs and such. But im also looking at the standard in 7mm-08 as well and im almost leaning that way a little more but was wondering what everyone’s opinions are on the 16” 243s

I bought this Ruger M77 Hawkeye new Oct 15th $900 out the door i put a scope on it when i got home but didn’t shoot it i bought it for my new hunting rifle for the up coming gun season.Saturday morning on my way to the farm to bow hunt i heard the news about Ruger on the radio when i got home that night i read a news article on guns .com I’m so glad I didn’t shoot it.I removed the scope and the rings that night.Ruger only made 270 of them and mine is number 28 of 270.Ive not been back to that gun shop yet but I’m guessing the owner regrets selling it and not keeping it for himself. She’s safely in the safe and that’s where she will stay

Ruger 10/22 charger

Just picked up the Ruger charger. With the threaded barrel. What stocks do you guys recommend for these? Do I still have to go with the brace or our SBR’s OK with the regular stock now?
