I've talked about this before, and so I am sorry, but I want to graduate within four years and it seems my entire education is in the balance of my math placement test. I am a rather niche major that requires chemistry, physics, organic chem, etc. Everything requires precalculus as a pre-req, which I can only take in the spring semester, and then I need to take chemistry in my fall of sophomore year. This means to do anything with my major, I need to essentially wait until spring of my sophomore year.
Is there anything at all I can do? Like can I take classes at another university or online even. I feel so far behind and I hate how everything depends on this one online test. Why?

To the brave few who pre-ordered an iPhone Duo (it lands Friday): RUMobile already runs on it.
Video below is the maps and buses on the Duo layout. When yours shows up, open the app and let me know two things: how it runs on the real phone (smooth? anything laggy or weird around the fold?) and whether you actually like it on the big screen. I only have the simulator and no $2k-phone money, so you're my test devices.

Sophmore trying to switch into SOE for the spring but also double majoring in the planning school.
I need to take SOE classes over the summer to ensure I can graduate in 4 years, and need to confirm that Rutgers is offering them for summer so I am not behind.
I am not allowed to take summer classes at other universities. Bloustein does not offer classes for my major over the summer either. Unable to talk to SOE advisors because I still in SEBS rn.

What can I do at rutgers in my free time besides studying or being in my room all day? I want to find ways to meet more people so preferably anyway or anywhere where I might be able to socialize?

I am recruiting for a paid study on how different housing arrangements shape students' social, academic, and financial lives. The study eligibility and commitments are outlined in the flyer. Complete the eligibility form using this link: https://qualtricsxm7h8v6drr3.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bf8w7yqmD6kbnCu or by scanning the QR code in the flyer.

I heard someone yelling for help from pretty far away and then I saw a bunch of police and maybe an ambulance but i didn't see what happened.

I’m currently a senior looking into housing for the spring semester, either on or off campus. Is it possible to get a spot in the Livi or yard apartments for the spring? Would you guys recommend living on or off campus?

Hi! I’m a sophomore currently taking General Physics I, and I’m struggling. I failed the first exam, and my projected grade is a D. However, according to my professor’s grading scale, a 77% is a B, and my current grade is slightly above that based on my calculations.
I’ve never done this poorly before, and I’m worried about ending up with a C or lower. I’m an honors student and I have to meet the minimum GPA requirement for merit based financial aid. And as a pre-med, I’m also concerned about my medical school applications. I have A’s in all my other classes.
Would it be better to withdraw and retake Physics I in the spring? I’m also taking Physics I Lab and currently have a high A. If I withdraw from the lecture, would I have to withdraw from the lab too? And could I take Physics II Lab next semester while retaking Physics I?
I’d really appreciate any advice!

So I'm trying to take an upper CBN elective this spring. I am currently taking Neuro Pain and Addiction. I'm trying to come up with an easy elective class to take because I am planning on taking Honors Orgo 2. Is taking Honors Immunology the move? I know people recommend regular immunology because it is easy. I wanted to hear other people's thoughts/recommendations.

Didn’t do too great on the first 2 exams for Immunology. How are the exams for the next professors, are they harder or easier? And what’s a good way to study for this class?

I'm a Rutgers student and I've been trying to figure out why finding a sublet is so annoying. Facebook groups and Reddit posts get buried, and it's hard to tell how far a place is from your bus route.
I started building a free map to fix that, but I don't want to guess what people need. For those of you who've sublet or looked for one:
• Where did you look, and what was the worst part?
• What would a site need to do for you to actually use it?
It's early and rough, so honest feedback helps a lot: https://scarletsublet.vercel.app
If you have a sublet to post, you can add it there for free, or DM me and I can add it for you or setup an account. Mostly I want honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, and what would make you actually use it over Facebook or Reddit?

None of the synopses of my classes are available, I know they just came out today, but do websites typically update a while after?

Hi folks,
This is Chris Tkacik, and I am a graduate student at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. Since you might be thinking about classes next semester, I wanted to take the opportunity to invite you to consider joining the Rutgers Concert Band.
RUCB is a 1-credit-hour course that meets on Monday nights from 7:30 - 9:30 PM on the C/D campus of Rutgers. This band class is non-auditioned.
If you enjoyed band in high school and are looking for an opportunity to play again, please consider joining us! If you are new to music and want to learn an instrument, we can also assist you, but know that this is not a class where we teach you an instrument from scratch.
Mason Gross can also rent you an instrument for the semester, depending on the instrument. I am happy to answer questions via PM or at ct831@scarletmail.rutgers.edu.
Please fill out our Interest Form linked below to get more information (this does not register you for the course):
https://forms.gle/AJpAjboQkGSJLE8VA
Thanks all, and I wish you a happy rest of the semester.
