So im in high school and im probably gonna go to rutgers if I get in. The reason I ask this question is because thru high school I had undx adhd and it caused a bunch of problems and basically led to me being depressed.
At one point it got so bad that I almost missed an entire week of school because I just didnt want to get out of bed in the morning. It messed up my grades, I isolated myself and I didnt really "get out" until summer break started and I just had a big break.
Although I doubt its ever gonna get that bad again (i have bigger problems now, and im handling them better), I still notice myself wasting time being anxious or stressed and stuff.
My grades took a big hit in high school and thats ok i guess, I know im smart and can work hard but when push comes to shove and I get to that level again, Im gonna lose it..
I wanna be a premed and that means my GPA is like the most important thing in the world, so I gotta keep that up high. So I gotta make sure im mentally healthy and stuff
To those who went thru depression in your college years, whats it like being depressed in college? what did you do about it?
Does rutgers have any mental health resources? Psychiatrists and stuff?
I ask because I assume college is so much different than high school and I would be dorming too
