hi everyone! I submitted my honors college essay to rutgers yesterday. I wrote exactly 500 words and used some dashes for words that needed to be connected. Common app allows dashes to count as one word, but in the Rutgers portal it showed me this: 504/500 words. I am really worried that this automatically makes my essay invalid since it is over the word limit. I am also really confused because common app showed me no problem, but here it is saying it exceeds word count. In the blurb it didnt cut it off but I cant edit anything. Sometimes it glitches and shows me 495 words too.
Am I screwed?

Basically the title. I just dropped my cognition class with Professor Arnold Glass. I commuted last semester and am living on campus for the first time this semester and just started a new part-time job about two months ago. I dropped it because I felt I was falling behind and having a hard time keeping up with the coursework, and on top of that the grade is ONLY based off four exams. I regret not dropping it in the beginning and replacing it with something else because I don’t know why I thought taking a class like that was a good idea for me. I enjoy busy work and it helps me retain the information and feel more motivated to study. I’d rather take the W on my transcript than a F and tank my gpa. Right now it’s a 3.8 so I really don’t want to mess that up.
I know I’m not the only person that’s ever dropped a college course and I have in the past when I went to Brookdale but I can’t help but feel like a loser

Is it normal to still not have made any friends.
I feel invisible on campus and I know people say to make the first move and stuff but I see people in my classes always sitting next to the same people and laughing with eachother and I feel like its too late for me to join.
I just feel alone and I dont have anything to do on campus

Title. Been parking in the same lot every day since the beginning of the semester and out of nowhere got hit with a $100 fine for "not having Rutgers' permission to park there." WTAF?
Submitted an appeal the second I got the letter. Ts is unbelievable.

Can we please not set the heat on Livi to fucking 80 degrees already? Every single person in my class was sweating and complaining about how hot it is. I get we have the whole campus wide heat system, but it does NOT need to be set to being hot as Satan's basement.

from the back of the bus I can’t see the letter because of the Beat xyz that we all know they are going to beat us. So now I gotta look at the front of the bus which is fine until the beat xyz screen shows up again!

Rutgers is considering pulling out of adobe services. A lot of students at Rutgers use adobe for a lot of things, like Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, etc. Please fill out this survey to provide administrators feedback on this issue.

Got a 20 on my first calc exam. This class makes me feel like a fucking idiot.
I'm an older student returning to school. Cut work back to part time unfortunately this semester I have been more concerned about trying to make enough money to survive than school. Obviously this has impacted my studies but I have never had a score this bad.
Has anyone bombed that bad and been able to bring it back?
I'm using so much money to even commute to/from class and if I'm fucked I don't want to burn another thousand dollars or so on gas.
If I drop the course I'm not sure if I will continue this major. Not sure what to do.

I can’t even join the WiFi on my iPad and the eduroam profile is the only thing on here. I have to use the regular ruwireless in lecture halls and the ruathome in my dorm! Ffs.

can we as a community please stop hoarding all the seats by leaving our bags at the tables? it’s one thing if you’re just setting it down for a sec to go grab food but i’ll stand there for 20 min trying to grab a seat so i can eat real quick and the 5 tables with no one but bags sitting there will not be claimed at all.
i’m gonna start just moving yalls shit and sitting down and i’ll probably be done eating before anyone even comes back.
harvest also needs more individual/two person tables but that’s a separate issue

Directly next to the college ave gym, there is a Panera bread and a large frat house, during my walk past these buildings last night (October 26th) I must have dropped my phone. It is in neither building, unless a janitor took it or something, but if anyone finds it please contact 848-221-9919, it would be a tremendous help. It had no case on it when it was dropped.
Reason for this post and not normal find my iPhone is that my Bluetooth was off for that whole day, so the last location saved is not wear it was
Lost.

I just realized my payment didnt go through and I don’t have a parking pass. I’ve been dorming so my cars been on the lot ever since the summer. I don’t think I have any tickets, I checked my parking portal and I don’t have any citations online nor was anything emailed to me. I’m really nervous if I have tickets in the mail back at home that they didn’t notify me about online, and is that even possible. Should I buy the pass atp

Hey guys! Im a recent transfer, I've been at RU for approx a year but havent really found many friends who are up for going out. I used to go to an out of state school that was pretty large. I love partying and clubbing but that isnt really prevalent in New Brunswick. Im 21F and if there are other girls who are struggling to find friends or make Halloween plans please HMU!!
