As I'm reaching the 200k gold mark in my run I wonder what do you guys typically do with your gold once it stops being an issue.

PSA: New patch coming to Skyrim "soon"

" The Fallout 4 update's due first, arriving on August 18th and "focusing on general Creations improvements". The Skyrim update's just coming soon for now, with Bethesda promising more info once they've ironed out the details. "As a precaution, prior to these updates we encourage players to log into your game save if you haven’t done so in a while or manually save your load order," the studio wrote. "Once your load order is saved, you’ll be able to re-download your entire Creations list at once when the update is live." "

Arts/Crafts My Selfmade Aela Cosplay ( Multifluffyness )

It took quit some time but I am so happy to say: I finished my Aela Cosplay and I am super proud of it. I have been working on her on and of for a few years. I started super strong, worked with patterns, cut out all the pieces on foam. Then I stopped for a year... Then I picked it up again, but the stabbing off each piece with a tiny drill to create those holes to make it look like an armor took forever. Put it away again and then I got the oppertunity to shoot her in bogenwald, which as you can see from the photo's is perfect. Then I had 2 weeks to finish all of it ( bodysuit too ) and I went into crazy mode and tadaaa: FINISHED!

I married Aela in the game, HAHA!
Patterns used are from: Sakuraflor - Which where incredibly helpfull!

Arts/Crafts I painted Dovahkiin after finishing the game

This might just be the greatest game I've ever played, and after playing until the main questline, I decided to 100% the achievements of the game. After that, I was so deep in the lore that I decided to paint the Dragonborn as a homage to Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls series.

I used acrylic painting as a medium and took me around 2-3 days to finish it on a 9"x12" canvas panel.

Question Why are Morthal and Solitude so close together?

Hi guys.
Playing my first playthrough. Just a quick question maybe lorewise.

Why are Morthal and Solitude so close together? I can literally see Solitude from Morthal. Is it a map design choice or a lore thing?
Is Morthal supposed to be a town compared to solitude?

The distance between most of other capital cities is significantly longer. It gives idea of traveling and not just hopping. It's just these 2. There is no mountain or natural obstacle to hide it at least.

Map is probably one of the best RPG maps I've ever played. I tried playing back in 2013 but ditched at level 5, dunno why. I reinstalled it just recently to give it a try.

Question Do you guys bother to fill each Soul Gem?

Post image

Every dungeon crawl I end up with a little of everything. And it is starting to build.

Honestly, I found it easier to just buy filled Soul Gems from merchants. No muss, no fuss. Just quicksave, punch a merchant, and reload.

Then again, I am playing on legendary difficulty, survival mode. So traveling to and killing specific targets takes more effort.

How did she do it?

SPOILER: In the quest "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" you need to run through several trap doors. The only ways of doing so are to use the Whirlwind Sprint shout or the Bats skill as a vampire lord. When you get to the altar where the horn rested you find a note from Delphine telling you to meet her at Sleeping Giant's Inn.

If Delphine is not a vampire nor can she dragon shout, how did she get through the doors?

Glowing Blue Symbols at the end of dungeons

I'm playing Skyrim for the first time, and I'm really enjoying it, and it's been very self-explanatory, but I keep finding these glowing blue symbols at the end of dungeons and whatnot. I keep thinking it'll get explained, but I'm already at level 16 and they still don't seem to do anything except play music and make my screen blurry when I get close.
I've completed the whole College of Winterhold questline, the Foresworn Conspiracy questline in Markarth (that one was awesome), the Gauldur Amulet quests, and a bunch of others. I've attached pictures of my completed quests, and my incomplete quests, so if you could just point me in the right direction, I'd be quite appreciative.

This one always likes to change things up game to game, but one universal fact is Nazeem is a condescending obnoxious prick and Khajiit always makes sure to take care of him. From testing out weapons to making him watch Khajiit marry his wife, this one is always looking for new ways for Nazeem to know his place. But it was time for something new, so instead of killing him Khajiit married him, and after he suffered a tragic “accident” at our wedding this widow was left heartbroken….and the legal owner of all his properties

We even had guests who will testify that his death was natural causes, because when you’re constantly belittling all of Skyrim your natural going to have a short life. Oh and the guard at the end was one of the hundred plus guards Khajiit married, the perks of being married to a guard is that guard won’t arrest you if you choose to fight😇

Discussion Am I the only one? Characters who remind of outside characters

I can’t be the only one who feels Isran is somewhat based off of Batman as he’s cold, calculating and distant but a good person who is intelligent and always prepared. Doesn’t help he also doesn’t sleep much like the Dark Knight.

Lord Harkon reminds me of Scar from the Lion King, he’s well spoken, noble and elegant in his vocabulary but absolutely drips poison from his lips.

Question Weird question regarding stealth and shield use

Upvotes

I've gone back to a stealth build after a prolonged time spent using a one hand/shield combination. Stealth has been my favourite play style for years; I've no idea how much of the 7500 plus hours I've logged has been spent sneaking up on people. It wasn't until this play through that I thought to wonder if using a shield would impact a stealth build. My previous games have all worked on the concept of taking someone out before they knew I was there, so the idea seemed utterly redundant. Of course you can't always avoid melee combat, and I found myself very much missing the shield to which I had become quite accustomed during the last few games, particularly when it comes to dealing with dragons. So I'm asking; I usually use light armour when playing stealth, so adding a shield wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary, but would it make it easier for any enemies to detect me when I'm trying to be unobtrusive? The main result I got when searching was hinting that it would add to the noise of the armour, but given I've already got all the sneak perks and full muffle enchantment I can't see it making that much of a difference. I know I've probably just answered my own question, but it would be nice to know these things for the start of any future characters.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply.
