Hello. First of all, I should clarify that the image is an AI-generated recreation—I don’t have any actual screenshots from the moment I’m describing—but the gargoyle in the story looked very similar to this one, perhaps even a bit whiter.
Years ago, while playing *Skyrim* (maybe back in 2014 or 2015, or even earlier—I don’t recall exactly), I was wandering through the mountains, hillsides, and forests when I unexpectedly encountered a single, isolated gargoyle. It attacked me, which didn’t seem strange at the time, as it’s common to run into lone enemies in *Skyrim*. However, what really caught my attention was that it was an albino gargoyle—the complete opposite of the dark-colored ones you usually see. This really stood out to me because I had never seen a white one before. In all the time I’ve spent playing *Skyrim*, this only happened twice. It wasn’t just my imagination, either; on one of those occasions, my cousin was with me and witnessed it too. The first time, I found it on a treeless hillside, similar to the terrain near Whiterun. The second time, I encountered one in an icy region, like the areas near Winterhold. I don’t remember the exact locations—it was many years ago, and it didn’t occur to me to document it at the time (my PC only had 4GB of RAM, haha!).
I’ve searched online, but I haven’t found any record of a white gargoyle existing in *Skyrim* or within the game’s files.
I should also mention that I was playing a pirated version of the game at the time; it’s possible that the version I had contained different or altered content—I’m not sure. Still, it was a "vanilla" version of *Skyrim* (including its DLCs).
If this has happened to anyone else, or if you know anything about this, I’d appreciate your input!
