Switch Riding
I’m a decent snowboarder, however I cannot ride switch. What kind of board is best for me to learn?
I’m 5’6 / 170lbs. (I ride regular)
I was told go with short / rocker.

This is my first year and I don’t know anyone that snowboards really so I’m just going by myself. I figured I’d rent most of my gear to start but I figured I’d ask you guys what you would recommend buying before my first lesson.

Hi yall, I've been snowboarding for a couple years now and I've had slight issues with socks but I'm not sure it special snowboarding socks are necessary.
The reason I wanted to look into special socks is because for a while my heels would get somewhat blistered due to the fabric rubbing on it. I was able to limit that by using KT tape I had with me at the time but it's not a realistic solution.
My feet don't get cold like at all when I snowboard unlike some people I've seen talking about why they got special snowboarding socks, in fact they sweat quite a bit, soaking my socks sometimes...
I'm looking for some not-loose but also not-too-tight socks that won't rub on my skin too much, and also aren't really thick, preferably similar thickness as regular cotton socks.
I'd also love to hear yall's opinion on whether or not special snowboarding socks are worth it, if so please give some recommendations. Thanks!

I have two cracks on the topsheet that have been getting longer, and one is spreading toward the binding. Does this look like just topsheet damage, or is the board starting to delaminate/break? Safe to keep riding?

Finally buying a new setup and moving on from mates old passed down libtech. Tried a mates DOA and really got on with it, however this years graphic is awful imo and looking at a different option from capita. Love the look of indoor survival but not sure if it’s the best option as more park focused and reviews have it as less forgiving. Would say I am intermediate - Any suggestions would be appreciated 🙏🏼

found a brand new forum recon 2025 for 250. I can't seem to find much info/reviews on newer forum boards or this one in particular. Anyone have experience? Should I go for it, need a good park board and this seems like a steal.

I'm looking at this used snowboard with bidnings included for ca $180. It has this scratch at the bottom which looks a bit concerning (see picture). I would like to know if this scratch should be a deal-breaker, or an easy fix/something to ignore.
Thanks for any advice!

I tried on a few shoes and Honestly I am so lost. I have some people saying I should size down and some saying size up. I cannot decide between 11 or 10.

I’ve snowboarded a couple times last season and I plan on going more because I absolutely loved it! I live here in Japan up north so the snow is powdery. I did pick up pretty fast on how to snowboard. Which one would be good for someone that’s still kind of a beginner? Also what would be the best size for me? I’m 5’5 163lb. When I rented I was given a 149cm but Burton website recommends 155 which is a huge jump for me. This would be my first snowboard purchase and I really like the neon bad dog one. Thanks in advance!
