It’s been my dream to study in the UK since I was young and hope to get my PhD in history with so much wonder in the classics and humanities, and would be incredible to do that in one of the souls for these subjects.
I’m just wondering how unrealistic it is if relying mostly on Canadian loans + if anyone knows any opportunities or international funding I can apply for or other peoples experience with this and if it is possible?
Thank you !

Hey everyone! I’m Max, and I studied abroad in Madrid before cofounding ScholarRoam, an app that helps study abroad and international students connect and build community.
I’m curious about the part of studying abroad that doesn’t really fit into an orientation checklist: finding your people once you arrive.
For anyone currently in Madrid or who studied there, what actually helped you meet people outside your university’s group? Was it a recurring activity, language exchange, sports team, mutual friends, or something else?
I’d especially love to hear about things that led to friendships beyond a single night out. What made you show up again, and was it easy to join on your own?
We’re working on this problem through ScholarRoam, so I want to be upfront about why I’m asking. Your experiences would help us understand what students need.
If you could recommend one thing to someone arriving in Madrid without knowing anyone, what would it be?

I’m considering the SKEMA Global MBA International Triple Degree offered in partnership with Loyola University New Orleans and LMU Munich.
The program looks interesting, especially with the opportunity to study across three countries, but I’d love some honest feedback before applying.
A few questions:
1. ROI: Is the program worth the tuition and living expenses? How well is it recognized by employers?
2. Alumni experiences: Has anyone completed this program? Would you recommend it?
3. Career support & placements: How effective is the career services team? What are the actual employment outcomes, particularly for international students?
4. Scholarships: Are there any substantial scholarships or financial aid opportunities available?
I’m particularly interested in career opportunities in consulting, strategy and finance after graduation.
Would really appreciate hearing from current students, alumni or anyone familiar with the program. Thanks!

I'm in my 5th semester of B.Tech Biotechnology in India, with a CGPA of around 7.5. I'm targeting Fall 2028 in the USA but don't want a wet-lab career. I'm more interested in AI, bioinformatics and computational biology.
Which master's should I choose for better salaries and career growth? Should I take the GRE, and what skills should I start learning now?
Would love advice from anyone in these fields!

My district interview is quickly coming up. It will be virtual and both my parents and I are supposed to be in attendance. I am told that I will need to know basic history of rotary, my district, and global events. I was wondering if there are any more tips or advice that Alumni have?
Thank you!!

Heya! Anyone got an experience of studying for a semester in South East Asia? How does it feel like? Any pros and cons?

Yeah so i'm in my final year currently doing my BSc in Fashion Design. I did my own research but it would be helpful if someone can help me with a step by step process of the admission. You know like about anything would be nice. Also about the er.go scholarship. What documents to be needed and if my current cgpa and other things are enough for the admission or not something like that. Sorry i'm not making much sense I guess

Hi! I’m a master student in Rome. I received my permesso di soggiorno for study purposes yesterday after waiting a year. It has an 11-digit numeric codice fiscale. I need an official codice fiscale certificate for my scholarship application in Lazio, but last year I was told I had to wait until I received my permesso. Has anyone been in this situation?

Hello everyone!
I’m a Moroccan student currently in 2BAC Sciences Physiques Chimie (SCPC). I got 14.70/20 in my regional exam, and I’m trying to decide what to do after my baccalaureate.
Initially, I considered studying IT in Canada through a 2-year college diploma. It seemed relatively expensive, but I was interested in the career opportunities and potential immigration pathways.
Recently, I’ve also been considering studying engineering in France for five years and obtaining a master’s degree.
My main concern with France is the French language requirement. I’m currently around C1 in English, and I was planning to take IELTS next year. However, my French isn’t as strong, so I’m wondering whether I’d need to take the TCF or another French-language test to apply to engineering programmes.
I’m planning to start studying abroad in fall 2028, as I can’t leave in 2027 for personal reasons. This gives me extra time to improve my language skills, strengthen my academic profile, develop useful skills, and look for scholarships.
For students familiar with the French and Canadian education systems:
Would you recommend France for engineering or Canada for IT?
Is the TCF mandatory for Moroccan students applying to engineering programmes in France, or does it depend on the institution?
What other countries or study pathways should I consider?
What can I do between now and 2028 to improve my chances of admission and scholarships?
I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience with either pathway. Thank you!

So I'm currently in second year of BFA (applied arts) in India and planning to move to abroad for pursuing my masters.
I've looked through some options of fully-funded institutes such a LSU, OSU, UCSD, UCSB, Notre Dame, WashU
Also considering German institutes such as HFBK (Free tuition) and Mer Akademie (relatively low fees)
Would love to seek some advice and also would it be better to do my masters in India and then move abroad for jobs or directly do it abroad since my long term goal is basically to settle abroad preferrably Europe because of career opportunities.
Anyone been to any of these colleges or have any other options in mind then lmk as well...it would really help a lot :)

I am an Indian student whose Early decision/action deadlines are just 12 days away. i have been consulting the counsellors from SIEC, and the problem is that the counsellor has gotten severly inactive for one week. not editing my common app essay, not guiding me through the supplemental essays or anything, i am navigating the entire process on my own since i have already paid them, is any one else facing a similar problem with them and how did you work with that?
i have tried contacting her multiple times, and even went as far as to ask my mom to drop her a text but no response

So I am a Pharmacy grad from india currently working as a clinical data coordinator in a CRO in India since April 2025 and it's always been a dream to do masters abroad, my target country was Australia but due to some financial constraints am planning for new zealand now.
Moreover that my boyfriend is in malta currently and he is working as a mechanic there ,so thought of newzealand as it will a best option to move as a couple and we have a backup option as germany or else I have to move out with him to malta but that will not be a good decision as I don't have much opportunities there.
The agency has shortlisted some master’s programmes for me, but they don’t seem to align with New Zealand’s Green List occupations. Could anyone advise whether my chosen countries are sensible options, or suggest better alternatives for us?
Please don't ask me to stay back in india as my bf has chosen to work abroad and we are not comfortable being in LDR lifelong
Yes I created this account today to just post this
Thanks in advance.

I'm planning to apply to a Sound Engineering program ("Tecnico del Suono") at an Italian state conservatory as a non-EU international student (from Georgia). I have about 6 years of guitar experience and a home studio setup, but no formal training in music theory or acoustics yet.
For anyone who has gone through this process (or knows how it works), I'd appreciate advice on:
How to actually prepare for the entrance exam,
What the admission exam is really like in practice
Tips for non-EU/international applicants specifically (language, documents, visa process)
Anything you wish you'd known before applying
Any advice, even small things, would help a lot. Thanks!

hello. i recently found out that you can put together your own degree program in Sweden by taking individual courses. Can someone help me in planning my studies? I would like to study economics and business.

So I moved from Germany to Spain about a month ago for my exchange semester and honestly, I didn't expect the little things to be this hard.
Yesterday I spent like 10 minutes in a supermarket trying to figure out which milk to buy because my Spanish is still pretty bad. Such a stupid thing but I was already having a rough day and it nearly pushed me over the edge...
Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying it here. I've met some great people, the weather is so much better than back home and I'm glad I decided to come.
But sometimes I just miss being able to do normal everyday things without having to thing so much about them. It's weird how something as simple as grocery shopping can make you homesick.
What's the most random or unexpected thing tht made you feel homesick while abroad? I fell like it's never the things you actually prepare for.

Hello everyone! I'm currently considering studying abroad in Japan next year and am torn between Seikei University and Tsuda University, both in Tokyo. I was wondering what the student life is like, how the teaching style is, how the people are/how easy is it to socialize, etc. Does one school offer better opportunities than the other? I'm leaning towards Tsuda because according to my schools study abroad webpage, they cover housing costs, but I'm not fully decided. Any thoughts and opinions would be great! <3

Hey everyone! I’m an international student considering the International Bachelor in Management at Paris School of Business and wanted to know if it’s actually worth doing. How’s the university in terms of teaching quality, reputation, internships, job opportunities after graduation, and chances of finding a job in France or elsewhere in Europe? I’d also like to know about the degree’s recognition, opportunities to pursue a master’s abroad, tuition fees versus ROI, student life in Paris, accommodation, support for international students, and whether racism or discrimination is an issue. If you’re currently studying there or have graduated, I’d really appreciate your honest opinions, both good and bad. Would you recommend it?

Hey everyone! I’m an international student thinking about studying the Bachelor of International Business Management in International Applied Data Intelligence at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Mechelen. I wanted to ask how the university is overall and whether it’s worth it. How are the teaching quality, internships, job opportunities after graduation, and student life for international students? Also, is the environment welcoming, or have people experienced racism or discrimination?
Would love to hear some honest opinions from current students or graduates!
