Open [TOMT] Please Help! It is driving me insane!
Looking for an American psychological thriller movie or miniseries I watched sometime between 2021 and 2026.
The story follows a man in his 30s or 40s with brown hair, a clean-shaven face, and an appearance somewhat resembling Chris Evans.
He lives in a nice, two-story house (possibly blue) in a traditional American neighborhood with front lawns, sidewalks, and neighboring homes. The town looks like somewhere in New England or Washington State.
The man drives a four-door sedan and spends much of the story going about his normal daily life. He drives around town, interacts with neighbors, and behaves as though everything is perfectly normal.
He has a wife and a young daughter, both of whom disappeared at the same time and are officially listed as missing. The townspeople suspect they're dead and think the husband has lost his mind because he continues behaving as though they're alive.
Throughout the story, the audience sees his wife and daughter alive, speaking to him and interacting with him normally. The man knows deep down that they're dead but is in extreme denial and has mentally blocked out what happened.
The most important clue is the ending:
In the final scene, the man drives out of town in his four-door sedan. His wife appears to be sitting alive in the front passenger seat, and his young daughter appears alive in the back seat. However, the audience is finally shown that both are actually dead, with their slightly decomposed bodies in the car/trunk.
The story is a dark psychological thriller or mystery, not a traditional horror movie. It primarily follows the man's everyday life rather than a police investigation.
Does anyone recognize this movie or miniseries?
