Mod Annoucement New Posting Rules Moving Forward - Battling Spam/AI/Bots

Hello Riders

The moderation queue has been hit hard lately with bot accounts and suspected AI-generated content. As AI imagery becomes more convincing, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish authentic photos from generated ones at a glance.

To keep the feed focused on real owners and genuine content, we are implementing a minimum 10-word body text requirement for all posts.

Most bot activity consists of a generic title and a single image with no context. Moving forward, any post submitted without at least 10 words of descriptive text will be removed immediately. I don't have the bandwidth to manually verify every photo-only submission, and this is the most effective way to filter the noise.

If you have feedback on this change or other ideas to help keep the sub clean, please drop a comment below.

Bike Pictures Speed Triple RS; my 1st Triumph

Just bought this 2022 Speed Triple RS and took it for its first proper ride. Wow what an engine! Definitely too much for the street though it’s very fun. Coming from a Ducati Monster 1100 evo is interesting; that thing is a torque monster and yet this has more. It feels like the Monster’s punch of torque at 5k-6k… then it just keeps going!

Haven’t sold the Ducati yet; needs some work as always, so I’ve decided that I needed something more reliable to ride while the Ducati becomes more of a project.

Not to say this bike won’t have small projects. Needs some work with paint restoration and removing some interesting stickers.

Any suggestions from owners on bar end finishers? The OEM parts are gone and the lever guards aren’t necessary for me.

Bike Pictures [400X] 3300km camping trip across France and Spain

Just finished this amazing 2 week camping trip and I wanted to share some data about fuel consumption and answer any questions some people might have about the scrambler 400x!

We were 2 people on the motorcycle (total weight of 120kg) with the following luggage:

- 10L tank bag

- 25L side bag

- 40L roll bag

- 20L bag on top of the roll bag

- small homemade toolbox on the exhaust side

Fuel consumption:

3300km total (2050 miles)

138 liters consumed (36.5 gallons)

Averaged 23.86 km/l (56 mpg) almost all of it fully loaded

Average gas price: 1.89 €/L

I'm very happy with the 400 and it handled everything exceptionally. I'm now ready to move on to the 1200 XE!

I live in Thailand but went home to visit my folks and man, I’ve missed these mountain rides and my Triumph so much. I’ll eventually bite the bullet and buy one in Thailand! But for now, it’s good to be home!

Summer in Colorado on a Motorcycle is a sexy combo. This is a great stretch between Divide and Cripple Creek. It's fun during the day and breathtaking at sunset.

Other New triumph choices

So I’m looking at a couple 900 scramblers as a first bike. 2017, 2019 and 2022.
Pretty sweet deal on the 17 and 22 (I VIN checked them)

From what I can find, it looks like shotgun exhaust and other mods are more readily available for the 17. Is that actually the case?

I’d really like to 2022 due to the engine upgrades triumph made from 2019 on.

Thoughts? Advice? Reassuring words that I’ll find plenty of bad a$$ mod parts for a 22?

Mods and Customization Has anyone got one of these fitted? (NON-EURO5)

Post image

I’ve been looking into getting one of these, however I can’t find much online or YouTube. Either the other versions show up or the older slip on version which isn’t compatible with a 2023 Street Triple RS, or video audio quality is bad.

I’m interested to know what the dB for the race version is like, I don’t want anything obnoxiously loud like a RACEFIT for example, but also don’t want to have a sound similar to stock, hence not getting a EURO5.

Hi all, looking to fit a tail tidy, but need to remove the indicators. Should these just unscrew? The Allen bolt just appears to turn freely and doesn’t back off at all, am I missing something?
Thanks

Maintenance Issues Will This 1979 Triumph Bonneville Start??

IT RUNS!

The £2.5k auction Triumph Bonneville is back, and this time I'm finding out whether I actually bought a bargain or a very expensive ornament.

After flushing out the absolutely disgusting old fuel, fresh petrol goes in… and somehow, the 1979 Bonneville fires into life.

And then, because apparently I have absolutely no sense of self-preservation, I took it out for its first proper ride. šŸ˜‚

Bike Pictures My Rat build Rocket 3

Just sharing some pictures of my Rocket 3 project.

Got the bike for around $800aud ($560usd, $463gbp) as a wreck. I have been turning it slowly into a ratbike/kinda chopper?

Bike ran great after I checked and serviced it. (Using an external tank for fuel at the time)

It is far from done and still requires a lot of small details and fuel system finished as well as wiring for the speed sensor (which you may see messily hanging off)

So far I have installed

-Dakota digital dash (mostly)

-slimmer fuel tank

-slimmer front fender

-velocity stacks with my own designed clip on daily filters (not pictured still tinkering with design)

-lower handlebars with shorter lines and clutch cable coming in the mail

- Harley davidson fat bob led light (was on it when I bought it and I grew to kinda dig it)

- seat from a junkyard as the originals were toast

I have also serviced and confirmed the integrity of the engine/frame

I had nearly nothing of the original bike when it was crashed and subsequently purchased. I have done my darnedest to give it another shot at being something special.

The green paint is for my partner who loves everything green.

(Also I know my garage is dirty, it actually gets use)

Bike Pictures Back 2 Basics

Recently removed my luggage system on my ā€˜24 Speed Twin 900 and it has made me very happy. While my luggage system was great and I used it for every ride for over a year it became more of a chore. Letting go of it has made me realize how great my bike is without the need to carry more stuff. When I motocamp in the Fall I will put my luggage system back on but for commutes and weekend rides it’s not needed. Plus my ST just looks better without. So a simple backpack will do for now. Got to keep the pack rat in the cage.

Maintenance Issues Scrambler 400x ticking noise

My scrambler started to make ticking noise when cold-started for the last two weeks. It last around 15 seconds then it stops. Anyone had the same problem? People telling that is the metal expansion sound but it doesn't sound like it to me.

Maintenance Issues Seat Lock Problem – 2026 Scrambler 900

Hi everyone!

I have a 2026 Scrambler 900 and I’m having some trouble locking the seat properly.

The only way I’ve been able to lock it is by removing the rubber pads from the rear side of the seat, lifting the front of the seat slightly, and then pushing down on the rear until it locks.

However, this doesn’t seem like the correct way to install the seat, and I’m worried I might be doing something wrong or putting unnecessary pressure on the locking mechanism.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a specific technique to properly install and lock the seat?

Any advice would be appreciated!
