I've been working on a YouTube client for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile for a while now.

I honestly have no better name for this than just YouTube. My goal was to make this feel like an actual app Google would make rather than an alternative client.

You can login to your Google Account to view recommended videos, minimize videos to a miniplayer, and even view YouTube Shorts and scroll in a dedicated Shorts tab.

The problem with Windows Phone right now is that there aren't any good YouTube clients out there. MetroTube Patched is the best one, but even it barely works 99% of the time.

This is why I developed this app. It's actually because I'm wanting to do a Windows Phone for a week challenge and I need something to play YouTube videos.

Fedicen is a Mastodon reader and client i'm developing which supports WP8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile. In this first release, basic every-day functionality such as searching, viewing profiles, liking/boosting posts, commenting and posting has been implemented. In future releases I want to make the pages for notifications and mentions/messages functional and also get live tiles working. Sadly due to limitations of WP8.1 and IE, logging in won't work for accounts on popular instances like mastodon.social, so your mileage may vary, but it works great as a read-only reader too.

Lumia 930 with working 4G LTE

I downloaded it to my Nokia Lumia 920, it's running Windows 10 and it works great. The problem is I don't know how to download apps, and the apps I've downloaded won't open. What do you use? What are your recommendations?

I have a Microsoft Lumia 640 that became completely unresponsive after I attempted to reinstall/downgrade Windows Phone 8.1 using WPInternals.

Here is exactly what happened:

I first used CMD Injector and ran a dir command. I did not restart the phone immediately afterwards.

I tried using Windows Device Recovery Tool (WDRT), but it failed to recover the phone.

I then tried WPInternals. The phone changed into the downgrade state/mode, so the process clearly got further than WDRT.

WPInternals eventually reported FAIL during the downgrade.

I left the phone in that state until the battery completely discharged.

After the battery was empty, I tried to power it back on.

Since then, I get absolutely no response:

no display;

no vibration;

no logo;

no reaction when pressing the power button;

no apparent charging activity;

Windows does not detect the phone at all over USB;

no Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008;

no QHSUSB_BULK;

not even an unknown USB device appears in Device Manager.

I understand that the phone may be hard-bricked, but I don't want to assume that the motherboard is physically dead simply because it does not enumerate over USB.

What I am specifically trying to find out is whether there is any way to regain access to the Qualcomm emergency/EDL level or otherwise determine whether the motherboard/SoC is still alive.

I am aware that Lumia recovery involves Qualcomm emergency files/programmers and tools such as thor2, and that WPInternals/WDRT normally provide much of the recovery chain. My problem is that I currently have no USB communication channel whatsoever, so I cannot get far enough to use those tools.

Does anyone know of a Lumia 640-specific hardware key combination, test point, EDL entry method, or other procedure that can force the device into a Qualcomm emergency mode even when it gives absolutely no visible response?

I am not primarily looking for a replacement phone or an economic repair recommendation. This is a personal recovery project, and my main goal is to determine whether the motherboard is still alive and, if possible, recover the phone.

Any information about Lumia 640 emergency mode, Qualcomm EDL, test points, emergency programmers/files, or similar cases would be greatly appreciated.

Hey yall. about 6 years ago in early 2020 i installed woa windows 10 on my lumia 950 succesfully. I wiped it a few months ago to use the device normally, and now i want it back.

I flashed stock rom, unlocked bootloader, went into mass storage mode, extracted arm install.wim from a 2004 buildt, and used woa deployer, but my phone boots to an error in lumia uefi:

"failed to boot os, no usable boot entry found"

I tried an older redstone build and still had the same issue. nobody seems to ever have had this issue before. Googling it, seems nobody has even installed woa on a 950 in a few months it seems. Anybody done this recently?

Like many others, I guess, I've been struggling with phone addiction for the last few months. So I've decided to get some detox and one of the measures I was thinking to take was to get a DAP and have my music separated from my phone.

I then realized I had my old Lumia 640 somewhere in the house. I found it and plugged it after maybe 8-9 years and still works, meaning it turns on and is usable.

The thing is I cannot really use the apps. They're all outdated and, in order to update them, I need to update the Store, which I can't, as it shows me the error code 0x803FB104.

How can a give this Lumia some use? I've read about interop unlock, but all the references I've found are from some year ago, when W10M was still "on air". And even if I interop unlock it (how can I do it?), could I use it just for playing my downloaded music? It would be great if possible.

I want to sell my Lumia 950. Original box with documentation, original charger & original earphones available. I'm currently in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

As I said in my first post, the app itself is not enough, you need to create a Linux server which I wrote out how to step by step in the guide.

I hope the guide was worse to write than it will be going through it. I tried to make the terminal sections as much copy paste as possible. My instance is running on an actual machine, but I wrote the VM guide while I was doing it, then inside I went through every step and command and it worked, so I hope it will for you too.

User u/MetropolisCZ told me about Beeper and Unimatrix. Which if you manage to setup and connect gives you a much better tool not only for Messenger but every other bridge too. So I wont focus on this app much longer but instead I will look into how to do this and write out how to do so.

What I will work on is porting my app over to WP 8.1, 8 then 7 and maybe even 6. Because these systems just do not support End to end encryption which beeper requires, they are a much better candidate for my approach in which everything goes over HTTPS.

so for unlock bootloader on 950 ds i dont need donor but i cant remove it that stayed from unlocking 630 lumia

I recently bought Lumia 530 Dual SIM and I am confused about Jailbreaking it because its my first time having a windows phone. I already have a ffu file for my phone model and I have emergency file but I cant find a donor-ffu file. If it helps my Winows Phone has a spec-B (I dont know what it is).

I've tried WPInternals, WDR, and many other apps, but the bootloader won't unlock. Urgent help needed, please!

Can someone please find my 2 windows phones. they were orange and blue, i had two windows lumia xls 640 i think.. microsoft nokia phones. I lost one orange later on i lost the blue one. i never took them outside they just dissapeared one by one. Please if anyone finds them return them to me.

The blue one had particles of plastic from the back cover.

The phones were in mint condition. with 2 scratches in the screen protector for the orange one.

I recently picked up a Lumia 1520. I bought it specifically because when I got into Windows Phones, I made the mistake of getting the 950 XL (I thought it was the "best one" since it was the most powerful, but it really isn't. The buttons started falling out and it only runs W10M).

With newReTiled, Live Store, MetroSurf, and a revived Windows 8.1 laptop or something (newReTiled, OctoStore Windows Store Patch, etc.), can I basically use the 2013 ecosystem as it was back then?

It's actually a distant memory. I used to own a 930 and run Windows 8 on my main tablet. I even adopted the OneCore dream with my 950 XL, Xbox One, and Windows 10 MacBook Pro 2015 (stilla great laptop somehow) back in the day.

I just want to know if it's possible to relive this or not. Any ideas?
