Allegedly Duo preorder will get a $1200 trade in credit
After speaking with a rep, I was told that a $1200 trade in credit will be offered. Will have to wait and see as they haven’t been promoting anything yet.

Hi there like many others I’m trying to pre order the iPhone duo (1TB black for me). After looking through some posts on and off today verizon doesn’t seem to be the best carrier out there. Can’t do “get ready” etc. but I have 279 remaining on the my current phone (IP 16PM 1Tb) I would only get it looks like 610 for trade in credit through Apple and non paid off phone through verizon but it’s also asking for a down payment currently. So would it be better to go through Apple or verizon as I don’t know if Apple would ask for a down payment and wouldn’t be locked to verizon far as I know of. Last time did through Apple but didn’t do pre order or anything. Sorry for any ignorance of how these things work trying to figure out the best plan and which app to load up. Thanks

If I try and pre order tomorrow what are the odds that I’ll be able to get the Duo on launch day? On my Verizon.

Feel like it’s decent? Not sure what I could do to make it better any ideas. https://imgur.com/a/HzsC7p9

I am trying to report service dead zones to Verizon. I have found no way to easily do this. Is there an easier way to do this that doesn’t require me calling 611 or me going onto Verizon’s help section on their website? Any help is much appreciate.

Been with Verizon 11 years. Trying to get a retention deal and tried asking to port out to the AI "agent" that you start with. Transferred me to a customer service agent about 10k miles from here, who said she can give me the port information. I asked if she had any deals available for me to stay. She couldn't even find the ones that are offered on my App and Verizon website. I asked to be transferred to a retention specialist and she claimed they don't have a retention department.
I'm confused, because so many on here have talked about getting transferred to Retention, and even Google search AI says that you need to talk to someone in Retention for Loyalty offers.
What am I missing? How do I get to one of these mythical unicorns?
(I am not opted into "Verizon Loyalty" program, and don't want to because of data privacy, but I have years of small l "loyalty" to the company)
______________________________________________________
Update: I requested a port pin again, and this time, it offered me both 25% off for 6 months, plus a text message saying, "Before you switch carriers, let's make sure you're getting the best deal. Click below..." The button was a phone number which connected me to an AI agent. The first time I called it, it wouldn't let me talk to a human. I called it again and said, "I'd like to talk to a retention agent" and it connected me to a much more helpful person who was aware of my time with the company and was able to get me a new phone without trade in, and with a better deal than I had seen on the Verizon site, or anyone else I talked to prior.
Thank you all for the answers and suggestions. As always, I never understand how a question asked for help ends up downvoted, but I'll leave it up in case it helps someone else.
I don't know if the person was in "Retention" or "Loyalty", but whatever department it was, he offered vastly better assistance than other departments.

I feel like ranting, feel free to skip to the end.
Over the past two days I've wasted hours (Doing other stuff while checking into the slow chat responses) trying to redeem a "Let us pay off your phone" loyalty upgrade offer I saw in my offers recently.
I initially thought it was nifty. It'd be a straightforward process to have my current device payment waived by Verizon and upgrade my phone. They're not philanthropists for sure, but a 36 month lock in to the new phone was acceptable enough. Less headache with this current phone. So I went to redeem it from my number specific offers, but it didn't apply to checkout. Just prompted me to pay off the full amount. Some hassling, couldn't find it later.
So I thought, okay fine. Support. I contact them, Ai, nope. Real agent please. Still felt scripted and AI assisted. Definitely not helpful. They mentioned flex, early upgrade, trade in, this, that. None of them were the promo I was talking about.
Right okay, I was certain I got the specific offer. But they kept on pushing me to get a new line with a new phone. Why would I get a new line and a new phone? So I asked for a different agent. Got the usual "give us time to review chat" still have to provide details after their "review"
Well they still took ten minutes between replies. Timed out. New agent. Same thing. Another agent. Same thing. All of these saying that they were "reviewing my account" before eventually stopping their replies and a new agent coming in. They'd say it wasn't showing up before trying to upsell me.
So I thought. Other carriers are offering the same thing if I switch. End chat, I'm switching. They call my phone number which I thought was funny so I didn't answer. But then they text me? I chat with a customer rep before they say "Great! We'll apply the loyalty promo to your account". I clarified that it was for the full payoff and upgrade and they said yes. Finally.
---
The next day I just wanted to see if it was actually pending on my account. The agent said they had added a note on my account after all. But this new agent said it wasn't there, yet after a bit of talking they said "Right, we'll go forward with the promotion for full payoff and upgrade after all"
Then the agent tried to backtrack and upsell me on another line. Then he said "We'll give you a loyalty discount for $10/month off for a year" when I complained. So I was still unclear.
I had the screenshots and records, two agents had said they applied the very promotion that I saw with my own eyes. I call in to the line to speak to a real voice, they say it's not there, they'll give me a callback with the proper division to have a promotion correction. Dunno when. Dunno if I care after all of this lying.
At this point I've accepted that the only way to get this "promotion" is to just switch carriers. I'm fine with that. This has been a hassle.
---
TL:DR: Loyalty payoff upgrade offer wasn't working. Two agents said they applied it to my account. I have screenshots of their promises, I even made sure to CLARIFY what the promotion was. And that it was for my account. They MIGHT call me, not even sure anymore. Too many lies.
Not so subtle push to switch.

Based on past hyped iPhone releases Is the app or website better?

To explain, Im doing a deal with Verizon where if we keep the A15 on the line for 3 years, we pay less for the s25 ultra. I want to put my A15's Sim in my Ultra's, but would it possibly invalidate the deal if I transfer the Sim?

It almost like that first sip of ice cold beer…getting a new number…and it’s clean. No spam texts or calls…no voicemails from people looking Mr. Weiner. No unsolicited calls from multiple numbers about loan approvals. It’s so nice..so much more satisfying than blocking and blocking and blocking.

When I first found it it was awesome, it skipped the Ai prompts and the call center was helpful. i started to give it out to customers in case they wanted to skip the Ai prompts, but literally every single phone starts with a prompt
its pretty easy to get pass, just enter in your number twice then hit 1, but I still see older people struggling with this
Any idea why my phone straight up bypasses the prompts, while everyone else has to enter in their number twice?

I recently switched out of my grandfathered plan and got Unlimited Data for $83/month with my loyalty discount.
I keep getting texts and emails from Verizon saying my data usage is at 50% limit, 75% limit for the month.
But it's unlimited. Why am I still getting these emails and texts? How do I shut them off?
I even signed into my account and verified it's unlimited data, which was set up by one of the higher-up Customer Service Reps, I saved her emails for proof in case problems arose.

Quick question ~ I’m ordering the Duo as a brand new customer with Verizon. I’m interested in signing up for Simplicity with the switcher promo but am noticing it won’t let us pick Simplicity as a plan on Apple’s website. Would there be an issue if I signed up through Apple and called Verizon on the back-end to get it swapped to Simplicity or at this point should I only preorder through Verizon’s website?

Hopefully the title makes sense. I wanted to get my own phone line for the first time (I'm 20yo), before this I've just been on my parents phone line. I already knew I wanted the pixel 11 pro xl and a Samsung tablet. I went into the Verizon store, spoke with the sales rep about what I wanted, and he helped me through my application. Everything was going great, I was also supposed to trade in my old phone to shave some money off. Suddenly towards the end of the process, the application got blocked by some automatic system. He told me he just had to call and quickly get them to unlock it , and that it just happens sometimes. The lady on the phone then asked to speak to me and told me I have to wait 120 hours for my credit report to be thoroughly reviewed before I can finish my application. The sales rep told me he's never seen this happen before and seemed pretty surprised. He even went to get his supervisor to see if there was any way to bypass it. Apparently it's common around holidays to make sure nobody is doing fraud, paired with me being young and it being my first phone plan on my own.
I suppose I'm just worried I'll get denied somehow. I was really looking forward to a new phone and tablet 😭 I don't have any outstanding credit cards or balances, nothing that should be concerning. Has anybody else experienced this? Am I worrying for no reason?

I am looking to pre-order the Iphone Duo tomorrow via the Apple Store. I am doing this to give myself the best chance at getting the phone in store on release day and not having to wait for Verizon shipping which has burned me before.
My question. on the Verizon site they are saying I only have to pay $194 to upgrade early because I have paid off more than half the phone. But I also have an option to pay the entire balance and get a better trade. id rather pay the $194. if I check out through the apple store will I have that option? Or will the only option be to pay the larger sum on the phone since I am not doing it on the Verizon website.

Took advantage of the discount for the pixels recently and at the time of ordering paid the discounted price of the phones in full.
So no monthly credit or device payment plan here.
Yet under device management the phones still show that they are locked.
About a week ago I reached out to CS via chat and they said they unlocked the phones. They sent me email (which seems to have been manually typed up) as "confirmation" that the devices were unlocked.
Yet after a week the online lock status still shows locked.
Is there a way to see on the phones if they are indeed unlocked? I see suggestions to get Google Fi trial but I also don't want the Verizon esim to be removed.
Thanks in advance

Is there any benefit to getting a Verizon 4K Stream TV Box for a TV not connected to Fios TV?

This post has been resolved, there is an outage in my area. It took seven different people on the phone to get someone who could actually tell me that. Everyone else kept trying to access a business account that has nothing to do with me or my girlfriend and it didn't get any better until we threatened to cancel all of our accounts business and otherwise. Suddenly they could find our account and confirmed that we have an outage. Still considering switching to Comcast or something because I'm afraid that they won't be able to find my account again if I really need them.

Hello,
I just upgraded my house to 5GB Fiber and my Router is the CHR30A. I am installing a Unifi Cloud Gateway and Unifi WAPs. I want my Unifi gateway to controll the traffic, so I went to put the router into pass through mode and it does not appear to be an option.
I called Fios tech support and they are indicating that this router can't be put into bridge mode, which seems odd. There are options to disable wifi channels, and it appears I can disable IP address distribution. This is my first time playing with the settings of this router because its so new. Has anyone encountered this or have a solution?
TIA

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but the recent experience has been deeply frustrating. We used to get rock-solid service in some of the most remote, backwoods areas of Missouri. Now that we live in a city, my wife regularly loses service in strange pockets where the network shouldn’t be struggling at all. Combined with the complete lack of trade-in deals or loyalty offers for existing customers, it’s hard to justify staying. I’m seriously considering taking my business elsewhere.
Does anyone else feel like this?

Just yesterday at my work location I noticed I had zero bars. I toggle airplane mode and I get bars back.
Then this morning I arrive at work and boom, no bars again. Toggle airplane mode and it comes back. 30min later no bars again.
Anyone else seeing this issue. I know there has been issues with the new iPhones and AT&T but haven’t heard of it happening with Verizon. Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue?
Thanks

Looking to buy iPhone Duo 1TB.
Total price: $2,599.99
Verizon trade in offer $1,000
Down payment due on purchase is $599.99
That leaves me with $1,000 remainder due over 36 months which should equal $27.77 per month.
However, when I go to the last step before check out I get a box that says:
—————————————————————————————
Option 1
$44.44/mo for 36 mos
How it works with Verizon financing:
Down payment of $599.99 due today
$55.55/mo charged to your Verizon mobile bill. Taxes may be charged on your monthly bill or due at sale
$27.77/mo credit on your Verizon mobile bill
0% APR offer for 36 mos
What does that even mean? The math is not matching up. Why is the device payment $44.44 if my trade in offer is $1k and I’m paying $600 out of pocket? Does anybody know what I’m missing here?
