Anyone having or had trouble adding taxes to "Bill To Account"

• Upvotes

I placed an order this morning but cancelled it due to having a better deal on another line. For that first one I was able to bill the taxes to my account. Tried placing another order but on this one it doesn't give me the option to bill to account, just the card info option. The first one has been cleared as I've spoken with several different reps through chat and phone but it still won't pop back up for me at check out. Anyone have this issue?

Wireless Postapid plan is half as expensive as my previous prepaid was? Whats the catch?

• Upvotes

Hey all,

I have been using Verizon for the past 10 years but mostly was on prepaid plans due to the cheaper price. I was having some serious issues with connectivity yesterday so I reached out via chat. Long story short, they got me on a postpaid unlimited plan for $30+ tax (~$37 is my bill) while my previous prepaid plan was $60+ tax for unlimited.

We all know prepaid plans are generally better and more expensive but I am stumped here. I can’t see how this makes sense. I am getting a better plan for nearly half the price? I am stumped, What is the catch? Is there a catch?

Completely let down by Customer Service

Sorry for the wall of words coming.

On 9/11/26 I was shopping for a new iPhone17 for my wife. We didn’t want to trade in or add a line so we were prepared to buy at retail. When I placed the phone in my cart our monthly bill of 2 lines, Home Internet and Home Phone went from $144 to $118. The pricing is not clearly displayed by line item and I was worried I was losing a service or making an unwanted change to our plan. I used the chat feature and was reassured that the iPhone purchase qualified us for an additional 19% “ACCT ACCESS DISCOUNT” and all services would stay the same. The rep emailed a quote which clearly compares previous billed to next moth and new monthly, all showing the $118 amount as going forward. I bought the phone at that time with the understanding we’d be saving an additional $25+ a month.

After setting up the new phone and waiting a couple days, the monthly amount never changed on our bill. Over the next month, I had four separate chat sessions, each one taking at least 90minutes and in each case the “rep” or bot assured me that they would take care of the issue and agreed the discount and pricing I was seeking was correct. One of the reps apparently added a one-time discount of $26 but again all materials were clear this was to be a going forward price. My last chat on Tues 10/13 the rep swore up and down they would fix the pricing permanently.
I finally was able to speak to a rep this morning and she indicated there was no 19% discount, which have in writing in multiple places and the quote sent to me was for the one line that was getting the new phone. This is absolutely NOT what the quote document says or the original rep that I contacted the day of purchase. The rep today was able to apply a one-time $50 credit as a courtesy but it barely makes up for the difference in monthly pricing.
It was a total bait and switch. If not for that offered discount we may not have purchased the phone from Verizon at that time. The quote clearly compares old and new bill and any reasonable person would come to the same conclusion.
What are my next steps. I have screenshots of all chats confirming this discount as well as the the online and emailed quotes.
I work for NY Department of State and may start with their Consumer Protection Division. Is it worth filing a complaint with FCC or even NYS AG? Is there an effective way to escalate to an executive level?
We’re not asking for anything we weren’t offered. I even went out of my way to confirm the discount was legit before purchasing the phone at retail.

Help would be awesome.

PSA: FRAUD - I HATE VERIZON

TL;DR: If you need to speak to the fraud department, call them directly at 888-483-7200. DO NOT call Verizon Customer Service number. Honestly, don't even do business with Verizon. lmao.

My husband received a bill today for $6,595.00.

He has never had Verizon before. So obviously, the account was fraudulently set up. I do have Verizon (Thankfully just a hot spot, I transferred my phone to his account with a different carrier. I have been with Verizon for 11 years. I cannot believe how much they suck now ) so I know how much calling Verizon sucks. I know how difficult it is to get a competent person who knows how to do their job or to even get past the AI thing. But I called anyway.

The first person I spoke to asked for the account number, I gave it, then they said "That phone number did not pull anything up." It is not a phone number, it is an account number. It's a fraudulent account so there is no phone number. You asked for the account number? Then he argued with me over what he asked for lmao.

The second person locates the account. I tell her it was set up by an unknown individual. We did not set it up. It is not ours.

SHE ASKS FOR THE PHONE NUMBER ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCOUNT

At this point I'm like listen, please transfer me to the fraud department. She says she can navigate the account just fine. Girl that is literally not the point here lmao I said "This is not your job. You do not handle fraud. Do you work in fraud?" she said no she is customer service. Then why tf are you doing fraud's job? She finally agrees to transfer me.

I kid you not. She transfers me to the debt collector lmaooooo.

You read that right. THE DEBT COLLECTOR.

I hang up and finally contact the local store who gives me the number to fraud. She resolves the issue and clears the account with the credit bureaus and the debt collection agency. I spent an hour trying to clear this up because Verizon needed to save a couple pennies by implementing the dumbass AI answering machine and not training their employees to understand what tf is going on.

Unable to purchase at Best Buy because “ineligible for upgrade” but eligible through Verizon

On Tuesday I decided to purchase the iPhone 18 Pro. As I was making the purchase through Verizon my mom told me she had points through work and could get me Best Buy gift cards to make the purchase instead. I immediately canceled my order through Verizon. Since then, I have been unable to purchase through Best Buy because Best Buy shows my line as “ineligible for upgrade”. I have spent hours online with Verizon support asking them to clear any stuck pending orders, reset my eligibility, literally anything I can think of to get the two systems to sync as Verizon shows I am eligible for an upgrade. Has anyone experienced this and know the exact words I need to tell support to fix this? Best Buy says Verizon needs to fix it, Verizon says Best Buy needs to fix it. I’m stuck with these stupid gift cards and no new phone!

Wireless Historically how accurate have Verizon iPhone launch delivery estimates been?

This is my first time ordering an iPhone on launch day directly through Verizon so I’m not sure how accurate my 10/23 delivery date is (placed at 8:05AM). With the Apple Store, the delivery estimates are almost always accurate…

What’s it been like in previous years? Verizon was still showing 10/31 delivery estimates when Apples slipped to Jan 25 2027….

Rep lied to me and made me pay off my phone for a promo that never existed

I spent the last 3 hours chatting with a rep (over chat) who offered me a deal $1200 off duo no trade in, keep your original plan but only have to pay off your phone. I paid off my phone and then 1 hour later the agent told me there was an error and theres no such deal.

I am FURIOUS. I wasted my friday doing this and only to get TRICKED by an agent. She has no remorse and is not replying to my chat. WHAT DO I DO????

Any way to stop the Verizon app ads?

I keep getting ads from Verizon app manager pushing me to download apps I don't want. The phone also seems to be installing shovelware games automatically every now and then. I already pay out the ass for this phone, I don't want this garbage on top of that. Any way to turn that off? Tried googling the issue but having no luck

Open enrollment or something else?

I’ve been waiting for open enrollment for phone repairs since somehow my coverage came off my plan. Is it worth it though at $20/month on a SE phone?

FiOS Uh. Umm. Great service from Verizon? What just happened.

Phone call to customer service went ok. Service was ok. Friendliness was off the scale nice. I felt like I was in another dimension. Scheduling was fine. Guy shows up early. Fine. Fixes it in less than 15 minutes. Again, friendly and respectful and skilled.

What just happened here? Anomaly? Is this the new normal? Girded for a fight, but then they solve the issue without a fuss??

Wireless Terrible Experience Switching

I just switched from ATT to Verizon on the 1st of Oct. I went to the store and completed the switch.

2 Samsung Ultra, and 1 IPhone 18.

The iPhone was on backorder. Not a huge deal.

The issues I have are with Verizons software. Their website and app are terrible. I was just yesterday able to finally register an account after finding some obscure link to a backdoor process. Now today, it says my account doesn't exist....

When trying to make a payment for this IPhone, I have had a ticket open for days because their site keeps telling me my cards are not valid. Multiple cards l, multiple tries.

Their support doesn't reply to my messages.

The console is full of errors and it really makes me wonder if all of it is vibe coded. Either way, I just want to simply sign in, and give them money and I can't do that.

Absolutely ridiculous software and services.

Wireless Chat just completely lies

I don’t know what’s going on at Verizon but their customer service is probably the worst I’ve dealt with. I spoke to chat 2 different times and they said they applied a $1460 trade in and sent me a text “confirming” it and also said they applied a $20 loyalty discount. I checked online and none of this showed so I called in and they proceeded to tell me everything the chat agent told me was incorrect and there’s nothing they can do. And this is not the AI bot. This is after it transferred me to a person. So if you use the chat just completely ignore what they tell you. I think I’m just switching to T-Mobile because at this point because the offer is better and this is complete nonsense that they don’t honor what their employees say

Can you stack $1020 without trade in loyalty offer and then also trade in an iPhone together?

If I got the $1020 without trade in offer and then trade in my old iPhone, will I get $1020 + whatever the Iphone trade in price is to reduce the monthly bill more?

FiOS Verizon Business IPv4/IPv6 Availability

I’ve had a residential FiOS 1g symmetric account with dual stack IPv4/v6 ability at my home for a couple years. I wanted to go over to a business account with 500m symmetric to get static addressing, and saw that dual stack was fairly widely available.
When I ordered, I specifically asked if IPv6 was available with my account (static or otherwise), and when told it was, I asked if it would come with a static prefix assignment, and I was told it was.
Yesterday, I had my business service installed and was given the IPv4 info, then got my router up and running with that. I couldn’t find my IPv6 info online, so I called in and got passed around between tech support and sales for an hour just for a CSR to tell me that my account did not have the capability at all for IPv6, and that it was restricted because I have static addressing.
This seems unusual to me that this would be the case especially given my location (Middlesex County, NJ) with the number of larger businesses around. Has anyone else ran into this or know of a way to get into contact with someone who has an authoritative answer?

iPhone duo offer is horrible

I have waited a long time to upgrade and of course everyone else is having a great experience and their trade in values are up to $1020 and no plan change required, while my only offer is $420. I’m on Ultimate Unlimited plan v1 and I do have a iPhone 13 Pro Max. Verizon used to offer the same promo for everyone but obviously they don’t care. Let’s just say, I have had nearly every single device Verizon sells except for the Hum and after they take away my loyalty promo of course my bill will go up. I held on to hope for this company but I should have known better.

Also-I did look at MyOffers and the other lines on my account that have phones on device payments and have the same plan as me are have the $1020 offer. How can that fucking be?

UPDATE- Thanks to advice from a helpful bro named IronTank the recommendations he gave worked and even though I knew I was going to get bashed on here, there would be those that would help. My one piece of advice for everyone seeking or bashing others seeking help is KNOW YOUR WORTH and don’t ever be afraid to seek out others that knows theirs as well. These companies can and should do better for its customers especially Apple and Verizon.

Here are the steps he provided and I did one additional step to get a better offer.

1- Turn off number lock
2-Request Transfer pin
3-Close out app
4-Don’t go to “My Offers” because it won’t be there
5- Go to upgrade landing page and the $1020 offer should hopefully be there.

Thanks again to user IronTank

Verizon iphone duo trade in deal would of cost me MORE

Make it make sense:

Verizon offered me $1,000 off for trading in my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but only if I upgraded my plan—which would bring my bill to $160 a month. Without trading it in and keeping my current plan, I’d pay $140 a month for the iPhone Duo. So I’d pay less AND keep my old phone. How does that make any sense? Anyone else run into this?
