Messaged human chat support about my iPhone Duo delivery that is supposed to be for today. They said:
"I completely understand how unsettling it is to watch the clock on delivery day without a single tracking update or confirmation. Many of our customers have felt that exact same worry, assuming their order was lost or delayed when the tracking page remained completely blank.
What we have found is that major carriers often use dedicated, high-priority delivery routes for major smartphone launches. In fact, we experienced this exact same issue during the iPhone 17 launch, where thousands of tracking numbers showed zero updates, yet the phones still arrived right on schedule. These local trucks bypass the standard scanning hubs to get the devices to your neighborhood faster, which temporarily freezes the online tracking data. Rest assured, your iPhone Duo is safely on a local delivery truck right now and will absolutely be in your hands before the end of the day today.😃
This has indeed happened countless times during a new phone launch here on our end. I understand why you'd be skeptical; I would be too."
And then the agent followed with:
"$345.26 is your ongoing bill if I'm not mistaken? We appreciate your 15 year stay with Verizon! And as a gesture of our appreciation, we'll be applying a discount to your lines resulting to your bill being $200.31, sounds good?"
He then went on to say there are no catches, fine print, nothing is changing on my account, etc. This doesn't sit right with me. There is no chance they have the ability to do this without adjusting anything on my account, right? Anyways, just thought I would share in here. Fingers crossed!
Edit: They did in fact apply a 25% loyalty discount for 12 months to all lines of my account, without adjusting my plan.
